There are several profiles which show the location and Bangalore, but they are in Coimbatore or Chennai. 3 of them messaged me (always a red flag), said they were just looking for a friend
and did not want to talk allowance (2nd red flag). Some messages seem to be cut-paste. I avoid this type, there's invariably a scam somewhere in future.

I think there is a method to the obvious scam. The girl's pic is a turnoff (I think I speak for most of us) and will attract only the desperate, who will then be more likely to fall for an extortion scam. This same pic is used in multiple IDs. Just don't every agree to whatsapp before you are in a real relationship.
