Was wondering what the name of the strip bar on the sidestreet from Felix? Also on my last trip I went by Sinaloas night club, it was very crowded and had a live band. I cruised over to the "Pilaf" (spelling) but too many young kids at the bars. Would liked to have gone to Tumbaos but that is now closed. Somebody mentioned Club Bandoleros to me, is that any good? Or anything similar?

Hey fellas,
My first time going to J-town tomorrow. Usually frequent Tjs. Anyhow, it would be a great help if anyone could suggest the best spots for chicas, and also decent hotels in Cj. Not really interested in bars or clubs, instead brothel type, or strip joint type places. My spanish is good, but my knowledge of the city isn't. Any suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Bachelor Warrior, your experience with the federales is a bit different. Usually it's the municipal cops that are our nuisance. Am curious, when you were frisked by the federales, where did this happen? Too bad you were robbed.
Mamey, the Don Felix is usually hit and miss, and, mostly miss. However, Yessica is one of the better choices there. Decent looking, eager to please.
I went to Juarez this afternoon, found a nice, young provider on Mariscal Street. Didn't see any cops walking the street, only one truck load of municipal cops who stopped to eat at a restaurant on Av. Juarez.

New experience for me. I was hassled by the federales and not the local cops. Swell. About 3 of them. Maybe 4. At least one was carrying an automatic M-16. Body armor. Fairly routine. They did look pretty tough up close I'll say. Broad daylight. About 4:30 in the afternoon. They were real interested in whether I spoke espanol or not. They asked 3 or 4 times if I spoke or knew spanish. I said yeah, a little. And, oh yeah, they wanted to know if I had any drugs on me. They asked me why I was in Juarez. I said just a tourist going to have a few cervezas at some of the local bars like Kentucky Club.
Anyway, pretty thorough search. I was more than a few dollars lighter afterwards. But it's been quite a while since I've been searched and robbed like that, so I figure it's like a travel expense. So long as they don't haul me off to jail or take my IDs. They could save themselves and me a lot of time and effort if they would just say, look buddy we need a contribution for the Juarez Policemen's Ball. Ha, ha. I wouldn't like it, but it would be easier.
The guy with the big gun finally said I could go. I thanked them for their service and said I felt a lot better. As a tourist you know. Having them on duty.

Went to CJ for first time on Saturday. Went across Santa Fe bridge and onto Juarez. Was surprised how dead it was for a Saturday. Went by Yankees and Felix as suggested by Clydesdale, mostly dead, only about six women in each not very good looking. One who was there was a Yessica skinny black hair a part timer looking for extra money. Not bad looking and eager to go to room.
Went by Eduardos pretty dead and fuggly girls, a better strip bar was the one on the sidestreet directly in front of Yankees I forget name. It had a good vibe and was pretty crowded, they had a lesbian show, and a couple of decent looking girls. One which name is Marisol stood out. Plan on going again soon and exploring other areas. But definitely this part of town is pretty dead.

Posts: 183It is no wonder that one, or many, are bored with El Paso. The highlight of the week for many is going to Walmart. The El Paso Times primarily talks about the UTEP Miners, Mayor Cook and his council, or, the Dallas Cowboys. And to find a good, steady provider? Well, you can just about forget it. As for the police killings in Juarez, the newspaper does have a small article in Sunday's paper that says there is a so-called "new" cartel in Juarez, saying that it will kill one police agent every day until police chief Julian Leyzaola resigns. Leyzaola is trying to "clean up" the city. I have personally been searched three times by cops in downtown Juarez this month, and not been robbed, and the cops have told me that cleaning up the city is Leyzaola's goal. Cops have said they are doing "searches" by sectors of the city. Quien sabe. Who really knows, it's anybodys guess.

Live music. 20 peso cover after 8 on the weekends. You may find a semi pro there. Around the corner here.

Are also dance clubs with live music on the weekends (if they're still open). Yankees and Don Felix aren't strip clubs and the music is whatever you play on the jukebox.

I'll be going to to Juarez this weekend and was wondering if you guys could recommend any clubs where they have cumbia / merengue type music. A good mix would be a place where some semi pros might go. Juariles mentioned Yankees and Don Felix bars but I could not tell if they are strip bars or regular bars. Anyways any info would be appreciated.
I usually hangout in the Colombia forum, if I could help you with any info.
Thanks
