I almost never take an ATM card with me to Juarez. I know of someone who was robbed by the cops a few years ago, as they felt this person's ATM money should go to them. Appears to me like an invitation to trouble.

A USA passport in Mexico is worth $1, 500? I have to fly from Juarez to Mexico City and back in a few days. So, when arriving in Juarez, what will the "oficiales" be asking me for, my visa form, or, passport, or both?

At the airport upon arrival, I doubt that the passport card would suffice? Please advise.

I have flown within Mexico many times, most recently Tijuana to Cancun. When checking in I was only asked for my ticket and passport. Upon arrival in Tijuana from Cancun I literally just walked off the plane and went and got my luggage. I would bring both the visa form and passport card if I were you. The officials won't rip you off right there man! They will check your documents and let you pass. The fear is you get rolled in the street. If you don't put yourself in a bad situation that won't happen. Use taxis and never isolate yourself from people at night time. And, be aware of what is going on around you.

On the blackmarket passports hold high value. They are literally a ticket to entry for the right person. Regarding the ATM card, I carried mine with me while living in Mexico for three years, and when I traveled. I never had a problem, and in my years mongering or living in Mexico only got shook down by the cops three times. After I learned how they operate I always just took their tickets and paid them at the local office. Regarding ATM though, only use them at machines, not in stores. They are frauding people down there now with a device that scans your card and retains its information. My wife got nailed this way a couple of months ago. Drained a couple hundred from her account until we caught it. Use cash only. Hotels, reputable ones, are ok for cards too.

I never carried anything except my state I'd and my ATM card. I kept cash in my front pockets or crotched it at all times. In the hotels, I hid everything in any little place I could find. I also kept the cleaning ladies out, and went and picked up towels. My passport was ALWAYS very well hidden. They will have that thing in a second. A valid passport in Mexico is worth $1500. 00 In Central America they are upwards of $3000.00.

If you re worried about how to act then just be RESPECTFUL and go with the flow. Sex is always included in the massage, in most cases it is just one pop unless you look like Brad Pitt. The term YMWV your mileage will vary is important to understand because it sure will. After all, it's a dirty job. I wonder if Mike Rowe can handle the work. At 300 to 400 peso ($23. 00 to $30. 00 dollars US) its no big lose if things don't go as planned. One last bit of advice, keep your eyes on your wallet at all times.

Massages in Mexico, and the states for that matter, work like this: Generally you are met in front where the price of the massage itself is quoted, then you are taken to a back room. Most of the time the girls are seated on a sofa in the salon, and you can pick the girl that is attractive to you.

The EXPECTATION is that you will want more than just a massage, but those negotiations are between you and the girl / woman you select. Sometimes the woman up front will ask you outright what you want when you walk in. Whether in the front or the back, reply with 'especial. ' They know that means either BJ or FS (full service.) You will be quoted a set price for the massage itself, and then the girl will set the price on 'extras. ' Don't be afraid to negotiate! It is a business for them man! Apprehension is always on the client's part, for them it is a job and nothing you say can offend them. Also, not all girls offer extras, so you may get a 'no. ' But in Mexico. 90% or more of the girls in massage parlors are there to turn tricks. Most will go to your hotel for a fee. I met an Asian in San Luis Rio Colorado I fell in lust with. I paid her $160, 00 for an entire evening in my hotel including dinner, drinking, and lots of fucking.

Most of the time the massage price is 300 pesos, with CBJ or HJ 200-300 pesos. FS is up to 500 pesos, but again the girl can be negotiated with. Rarely will you get BBJ in a parlor.
