i know that some fellow sportsmen have given this place high marks. i have peeked in a couple of times and have yet to see anything worth taking up. is there a particular hour when the selection is good?

it's hit or miss, like most, if not all, mp places in juarez.

Marilyns (green building) is at the southeast corner intersection of Del Ejido and Juan Escuita. I think the address is 2700 or 2900 Del Ejido.

If you go by taxi get dropped off at Del Ejido and Cadetes Del 47 so the driver doesn't follow you into Marilyns and try to get a kickback.

Anyway,at the intersection of Del Ejido and Cadetes Del 47 walk east on Del Ejido for about 2 or 3 blocks and you will cross Juan Escuita. I don't believe there are no street signs for the roads crossing Del Ejido so look for a green one story building with a door that is catty-corner from the corner. There is a convenience store (red and white building) across from Marilyns as a landmark.

Taxi always quote me $7 dollars, thats high I don't know how to get there by bus. However, getting back to the downtown is know problem.

After you are done at Marilyns, walk west on Del Ejido towards Cadetes Del 47, back from where you came from. Just one block west from Del Ejido and Cadetes Del 47 there is a bus stop. If you have any problems just ask someone on the street.

Hello all! I've traveled to many places outside of the US and can't believe the amount of hassles I got when I went to Tijuana. Don't get me wrong the women are hot as hell, but the cops will not leave me alone, so I have vowed not to go back. I want to try Texas now, but which is the best border town there? Should I fly to McAllen and then go to Reynosa? Should I fly to Laredo and then go to Nuevo Laredo? Or should I fly to El Paso and then go to Juarez? My main focus is 1. Which place has the most abundant and hottest women. 2. Which place is the cheapest as far as how much women want and hotel accomodations, food, etc. 3. Which place is the safest as far as criminals and unfortunately cops as well. (don't know which are worse!) All info would be appreciated.

Can't go wrong with Reynosa. I personally prefer NLBT (distance from me and my familiarity with there), but Reynosa is a great choice for all you inquire about.

I got hassled three weeks in a row. The second time, like an idiot, I had my money in my pocket, and they stole $100. Maybe it wasn't wise, but there were a lot of people around, so I got loud, saying I was being robbed because I'm a gringo, and that my kids wouldn't eat this week because they robbed me. They said maybe they should take me to the station, and I said that was a good idea. One of them reached into my pocket and said I was mistaken, my money was there. He put back $80, so I ended up losing $20. Now I've got a hiding place for my money when I'm in that area.
A few weeks ago the cops were insulting the girls as they were leaving Las Vegas. One of them took the bait and started hitting a cop and spent a few hours in jail.

If you are sober, go straight to the police station, Calle Oro and 16 de Sept.
Report them you WILL get action. Take someone that speaks good Spanish to help. Gather all info you can, names badge numbers, car or bicycle numbers. Report it, word gets around and it will help everyone.

Sounds like a trend. This all sounds like the prelude to a shift in 'politics' for the Zona. Maybe they're trying to get the word on the street about their actions to slow things down? I'm thinking about that acticle about the "clean-up". I noticed last nite that a few of the them seemed to be glued to a SW here and there as well.

I haven't been stopped as of late but I DO duck into doorways when I see them on the prowl and the last few weeks I'm usually just pretty much in & out anyway.

3 cops surround us ask the usual questions being rude and acting as is Laura and I were wearing bomb belts and carrying RPGs. Nothing was taken and we were let go without incident.

Something is up downtown and I don't know what it is. But imagine if this is happening to us, what must be happening to the ladies when they go and get off work.

Maybe the rumors are true that they want to "improve" downtown by getting rid of us and the ladies. This is the second time in as many weeks that I have been stopped on the street. If they want things shut down then they need to march in there and do it rather than harrass us and the ladies.

so here i am, walking with laura to an internet cafe when all of a sudden a camper cop drives by and one of keystones finest bangs on the side to signal a stop. i get a phone call from a guy a mile away and he tells me, "hey, i'm a mile away and i see it coming".

I was in Juarez a couple weeks ago and one of the transitos pulled me over while I was walking down the street. It was about 3PM on a weekday and I was just north of the coliseum on a path from Cleo’s to Laura’s.

Another reason why I asked if it was Manport was to determine if a walk down Juarez to Sept and then over to the hotel would be 'safer', as far as the reasons you experienced, if and when I decide to check that place out.

How is the walk from the clubs to the hotel at nite? Any obvious things to be noticed? I try to stay on the more beaten paths pretty much at nite time so I know nothing about that area.
