Do a little homework researching these sites, I just did. Not a single good word except from the people that run those sites. As with any site that offers and upgrade to paid services, you will find tons of fake profiles. Baiting you to purchase the upgrades. Years ago I tried AFF, even bought an upgrade, there were many profiles until I upgraded, then that number dropped drastically. I did meet one girl from there, and had a very brief relationship with her. She was the only one I could ever get to reply. Couple years later she sent me a photo, gained a ton of weight, said she was looking for someone to take care of here and her kids, sorry not me.

Both of these apps have allot of users from Mexico and is much better in Mexico compared to Match and POF, which are the standards for dating in the United States. I am in there now and it looks like these are the chosen apps for girls in Nuevo Laredo as well. They are not there putting ads up, but these are allot more realistic as far as your every day girls next door in Nuevo Laredo including lots of hotties. I am not saying its safe and I have never dated any Mexican girl on there but I just wanted to spread the word and each person can see how far they can go in these apps.

Living here as long as I have, I have never even heard of Tagged, so I installed it to check it out, as suggested. I doubt you will find anything worthwhile there. It is free but they push you to upgrade for the paid service. The girls that I know, that have a smart phone, use whatsapp. Many girls have the cheapest phone money can buy because they lose them, or have them taken, regularly. The cheap phones don't support apps.

I am curious if the recent deportations of people who once cross into the US from NL illegally and deported back to where they first crossed into the US. I imagine that there are those deportees trying to earn a living downtown? I hear that they end up becoming forced labor to the cartels. Then after some time, some of them vanish without a trace. Is that affecting the P4P street / bar action? By the looks of it, there are allot more deportations on the way.

Over 100 people are deported into Nuevo Laredo every day, in groups of 20 to 30. Carrying only what the are wearing.

Is it better to be white or look mestizo? Is a person who is tan and looks mestizo as opposed to white going to be hassled less by street vendors and attract less attention? Is it better to look tan and mestizo and blend into the native population, ethnically?

It don't matter, you won't be hassled in any case. They can spot a new visitor and you may be offered guide services and the chewing gum girls will try to get you to buy gum, simply tell the all no.

Is it required to have a tourist card (FMM)?

Only if you plan to travel past the 20 mile border area, or are staying more than 72 hours in the border area, the latter is not enforced.

I have been around, my first visit to Mexico was in 1968, before a lot of mongers were even born. Do I know all there is to know? Hell no, no one does. People have very differing, and variable, levels of confidence. I have no problem showing people what I know. Best I can offer is showing you around, and how things work here. You like it or don't, is not my concern, my concern is showing it like I see it. I have deep connections, that I will not, nor cannot, reveal. But trust me, I will not lead you astray. The absolute only way I will show anyone around boystown is you pay taxi there, and wait time for him to bring us back. My opinion of Boystown is that it is not worth the time, nor effort. However some guys swear by it. To each his own. I can show you around downtown, takes very little time, as many bars are closed. Most guys gain a feel in a very short time and realize they can do this on their own, which is cool by me, very cool. Talk to some girls, you will gain confidence quickly, even with limited Spanish on your part, and limited English on theirs. They know what you came for.

If I make it to NL I will pm you and I will stop at wal-mart and pick up some food and drinks and invite you to my hotel since I can't go to bars. My worry is that since I don't mesh well with the bar scene that I will have an awkward time there. However, if I could go, your beers would be on me the whole time.
