A couple of things that I worry about are 1. Picking up a working girl and taking her back to my hotel because that could put me in a very vulnerable position. Things that could happen are cartel members putting a GPS and drugs under my car since that seems to be a common practice for cartel members that know that an american vehicle is crossing the border patrol checkpoints. 2. Is going to boys town and having cartel members try to buddy up with me, since I have had that done to me before. I don't wan't to make the wrong type of friends. So I need to get to know a girl well before I take her back to my hotel room. Tinder, Plenty of fish and Badoo are good to meet girls (If I put my best pictures up). I have met allot of girls that say they live in Laredo but really live in Nuevo Laredo. They just put on their dating profile that they live in Laredo. I think the day after Christmas is when most girls start dating again. If I can meet some working girls that are trust worthy then I would love to partake in those activities. But I know that Monterrey is really good about giving me what I want. I mean, Monterrey has those brothels where they introduce women to you who are super pretty and cool. Well, be there soon.

If you keep it as just a money for sex deal there will be no issues. If you try to make it a relationship deal. Prepare to be totally disappointed. These girls are masters at sucking a guy for all the money they can. I know several guys in that boat. But I also know their girlfriends. I would love to tell some of the guys how bad the girl is taking him. But then I compromise my relationship with the girls. Remember I am not a visitor. I live here, I have to cover my ass best as I can. I try, but if the guy is blind to what he sees, I will not help him. I can't.

I was in NL last Friday and Saturday nights. The weather was pretty cold but not freezing cold. Downtown was practically dead, ON Friday AND Saturday! WTF?

Anyway, had a super great time both nights with one of my regular girls so didn't have to go out hunting. As usual, had a few beers and a great time with Bbond in Jorochos.

FYI, Hotel Fiesta provides each room with a portable heater but most of them don't work. This has happened for several years. A few years ago, it was so cold that Bbond took me to WalMart the next morning to buy a sleeping bag. This time the front desk guy had to look 3 times to finally find one that works.

NL is not what it used to be, but for us Texans, it is still a cheap and convenient way to bust a nut and chill out. YES, IT'S VERY SAFE. Much safer than downtown Houston.

I don't know why anybody would stay at this shitty hotel. I have stayed there where the heaters didn't work or there was no cold water. This place sucks. Plus it is near a dangerous alley. Stay at the Meson Del Rey right across from the plaza on Guerrero. Best place.

Thanks guys, I have a personal relationship with Bbond so thank goodness he is a really nice guy. It looks like I will be waiting until after Christmas before I make a trip to Nuevo Laredo. I have done allot of research on crossing the border. From Nuevo Laredo to Laredo should be easy. But for the first time in a long time going into Nuevo Laredo, I will make sure I have all my ducks in a row (for my first trip). I should be fine. Since I don't get much time off from work and I live in San Antonio, I plan on going to Nuevo Laredo on weekends, maybe 2 or 3 times per month. That is what I had been doing (going down to Laredo) to be with my ex girlfriend. Now that we broke up, I am going to date girls in Nuevo Laredo. I don't expect great options as far as women in Nuevo Laredo, but for a weekend, it's better than being in San Antonio. Bbond, I will text you when I go.

Why would you even think of driving into NL? Do you want to get carjacked? I have two friends who drove down there and got their vehicles stolen. One at gunpoint. Take a cab and avoid the paranoia.

You worry too much. Take it easy and relax. Everything is going to be a piece of cake, especially if Bbond is with you. The border crossing is very easy if you don't cross during the rush hour. Food, drinks and girls are cheap. If you go now, you can do a lot of Christmas shopping at the superstores. Your only disappointment may be the quality of the girls if your expectation is too high.

As I have been preparing, I found that I will be needing to get written permission from the lien holder (my bank) of my car, since I'm still making payments on it, to drive it in Mexico. So all in all, I plan on having my car registration, bill of sale, lin holder contract, lien holder permission to drive in Mexico and Mexican full coverage insurance in order to not have any problems with Mexican border officials or police in Nuevo Laredo. So I am thinking of getting a six month Mexican insurance policy, soon, for about 250 $ in order to get that permission letter from my bank. Oh well, I guess it's worth it for me. I'll stay in touch my friend.

Thanks for all the information. As I have been preparing, I found that I will be needing to get written permission from the lien holder (my bank) of my car, since I'm still making payments on it, to drive it in Mexico. So all in all, I plan on having my car registration, bill of sale, lin holder contract, lien holder permission to drive in Mexico and Mexican full coverage insurance in order to not have any problems with Mexican border officials or police in Nuevo Laredo. So I am thinking of getting a six month Mexican insurance policy, soon, for about 250 $ in order to get that permission letter from my bank. Oh well, I guess it's worth it for me. I'll stay in touch my friend.

You do not need lien holder permission. Or even valid insurance, just to drive across the border. To go to the interior, past the border area it is supposedly needed. Border officials only concern, when they bother to check, it that the car is registered in your name. The are trying to dampen the effect of people bringing cars into Mexico and reselling them.

Well I just got my global entry (sentri) card in the mail so I am starting to get more serious on my first of many trips to come to Nuevo Laredo. I like staying close to a super marker and found that heb and soriana are just one blocks apart on Av Reforma. I also found a nice hotel called hotel Santa Maria that has a sign outside stating that rooms are available for 480 pesos (23 dollars). The hotel has sinks, microwave, continental breakfast, I mean the location is ideal for me. Just curious which supermarket you prefer, soriana or heb? Also, I want to check out the new club in the zona de tolerancia that is right across from martas but scared to drive my car there. Do you think that relying on taxis is good? I plan on driving by the zona during the day to see if there are police at the entrance. I'm scared of corrupt police at the entrance of Boys town.

In the same area, withing blocks of each other, are actually 4 grocery stores, Soriana, HEB, S Mart, and Walmart. It's just a matter of preference, they all sell about the same food items. I have never used Hotel Santa Maria, so I am not familiar with it. If the sign on Hotel Santa Maria is what you see from google maps street view, take note that photo is 9 years old, so prices will be higher now, a listing of hotels here show it to be 775 pesos. I have not been to the zona for quite some time, but, my last experience, and the reports from others I know say the policia at the entrance are long gone. The club you mention is in the same corner as Mathas and Safari, all dependent on the trucker vans that bring people over from Laredo, there's always girls there, but IMHO opinion, a total waste of time going there. I know a few girls downtown that are ex-zona girls, they all say there is just no business out there for them. A couple of those girls actually live in the zona, but come downtown to work.

I was checking out a couple of companies and the one that partners with AAA gave me a 35 $ 5 day liability only quote and a 60 $ 5 day full coverage quote. I think that is pretty good. But are there any good insurance companies that you know if in Laredo or is buying online from a creditable source a better way to go? General thoughts?Thanks.

$12 a day for full coverage is about right, you can get better deals, less per day, on 6 month or 1 year policies, but if you just want short time that is good.

Cool, I downloaded this new app called "CBP Border Wait Times" on my android and it is really addictive. I get to see border wait times for all lanes (including pedestrain) refreshed on the hour along with a trends graph that also show historical wait times for every hour. It appears to official. We should catch up soon Bbond.

Those wait times are not all that accurate. Trust me on that. They are overly optimistic.

Bridge 1 is sentri and ready lane only. Sentri enters bridge from the west side, ready lane from the east from Ocampo Street. Also, bridge 1 is sentri ONLY, Monday thru Friday 6 to 9 am. Bridge 2 no longer has a sentri lane. The new layout I was referring to is which bars remain open and where the girls hang out. It has change a lot.

Are you referring to the new layout for Bridge 1 now processing Sentri and Ready lanes? I just saw this video that someone posted on you tube in October about a new club in boystown, across from Martha's and talks about more door girls available.
