Had a gringo associate attempt to go to Boys Town Saturday night. The taxi driver told him NO, that it was closed and had been for a long time. Needless to say he didn't push the issue.

Said he found a place downtown with decent girls. He emailed me a pretty detailed report, ill see if I can repost here.

I don't think you would have a problem crossing, I have lived here 4+ years, I feel relatively secure. As for that girl, worth $250? No way would I pay her that, I would not pay any one of the girls here that. I have never been with her, maybe $100-$125, that's all she is worth IMHO. She used to work downtown. GFE? I guess that depends on what you expect.

How are things in the downtown area? I am thinking of visiting the weekend before new years eve. Will anyone else be around? I would go to Acuna but New years is a nightmare for driving accross and returning. Let mek now if anyone else will be around.

Looks like the Acuna option is less likely because my Saturday morning schedule may have been moved up. Appreciate the responses. From the sounds of it, NLBT is not worth the trip and downtown is crawling with "ficha-cudas" that I definitely find irritating (especially since I am no longer a drinker). At Acuna, I avoid running into them by hanging out in the street until I see a girl that catches my eye then a quick "estas taloniando" (are you working?) and I ask the girl out of the bar to discuss the conditions of the offer. In any case, unless I want to leave Acuna super early, I am weighing my two Laredo options.

Option One: The old faithful (32 year old, ex-Papas girl) that got her papers and can spend the night with me on the Laredo Texas side. She might be a 7.5 in the looks department but she is a 9+ in the bedroom department and she can probably be talked into accepting $180 for all night. The money I save on the girl could be spent on dinner and maybe a stay at La Posada.

Option Two: Fresh meat (18 to 20 year old, Safari girl) is the daughter of another old faithful (ex-Papas) but I have to see her on the Nuevo Laredo side. I have not seen her lately but she was a 9+ in the looks department but an unknown in the bedroom department (her mom and aunt were both 10's so hot sex could run in the family). On the down side, she insists on $250 for all night and I need to pay her mom $50 for pimping out her daughter. I also have to risk crossing over into Nuevo Laredo (described in some posts as a war zone).

I will definitely provide an update on how my trip turns out. On a side note, what's up with the Safari club (is it in NLBT or downtown)?

On a different note, the girl named Laura that I have previously written about. Generally from a very disappointing point of view. Who is a good looking nicely endowed women but a biotch. Saw me with my good looking girl Lety two weeks ago and apparently got jealous to the point where she has basically threatened me with the following remark:

"We will see what happens to you the next time you come down here." Unfortunately, I have to take this comment seriously as I'm sure she is well connected and just cold hearted enough to do something. Therefore my friends, I will not be visiting Nuevo Laredo for a very long time.

If you are planning on going to Nuevo Laredo, I would recommend parking next to the bridge and walking. I would not take my car by any means. If you do plan on driving, I would recommend staying at my favorite hotel. Hotel Meson Del Rey. This hotel is a couple of blocks south of Bar Montera and does have secure parking. Believe me, contrary to what others have posted, this hotel is the best. Puts the Fiesta to shame. Nice rooms and nice staff.

Personally, I am getting tired of the Nuevo Laredo scene. The Montera is about the only happening place but it is full of what I call "token collectors." These are girls that will hustle you over and over again to buy them beers so they can collect their dollar per beer. I am also finding that the quality of women is getting worse. You can find some pretty nice women from time to time but the pickens are slim in NL. Went to NLBT two weeks ago. Hit the Shamrock, which is owned by the same owner of the now closed Blue Fox. I found NLBT to be sadly dissapointing and rundown and a waste of time.

I would really head over to Acuna. You can hit the Corona Club, Tochos and Jessies. Once in a while there are some cuties in these places. If there aren't you can always head up to Hunters and grab a girl to hang out downtown so you don't have to pay those ripoff drink fees. That ripoff owner, Tino, will initially charge you 100 to take the girls out but you can negotiate 40 or 50. There are much better looking women in Hunters.

Violence is returning, in the last 24 hours 9 killed. 7 in a restaurant, La Palma, where we often eat carne adobada. Saturday 2 grenades were thrown in a bar, Taverna de Moe, it's a ways from centro, but goes to show shit is flying again. Wednesday night the Montera was unusually slow, the Herradura has re-opened, Intimo is supposed to re-open next week. The Herradura is open but with even fewer clients that before, being almost empty all night.

RikiMichaels, that is so sad, especially to happen to the girl who just wanted to get away from violence.

I have no clue where Zacatecas is. However, I was in NL from last Wednesday to Sunday. I was amazed at the vibrancy of the Old Town (I did not go into other parts of NL except twice by taxi to Boystown). People were out all day and night. I felt very safe even as late as 1 to 2 AM. It's really amazing considering that there's no police at all (and when the drug gangs were somewhere else).

About 3 weeks ago, my friend and I went to Acuna and Hunter's Ranch up on the hill. As I walked in the establishment, the waiters immediately ushered me to sit over by what they said was a "new girl." I went ahead and obliged, finding myself sitting next to a beautiful blond haired girl wearing a fishnet outfit revealing a beautiful rack. We started chatting and immediately hit it off as she told me she was from Ensenada (Baja California). I told her I had been down there on fishing trip many times and she knew all the places I told her I have been. Restaurants, cantinas, etc. She proceeded to tell me that she just started working at Hunter's on the advice of a girlfriend. Her main reason for coming to Acuna was an older, possessive, jealous as hell boyfriend that she wanted to get away from. She told me she could not go anywhere without his consent, which was rare. Additionally, he did not allow her to wear makeup in public as he thought it would attract other men. He also beat her regularly. In short, she had to get out. One evening, her boyfriend told her to go buy groceries and she faked being seriously hill. He went ahead and did the shopping leaving her at home. This was her opportunity. She quickly grabbed whatever clothes she could get her hands on, stuffed them in a suitcase and had her girlfriend come and take her to the bus station. Hence ending up in Acuna.

We spent about 4 hours chit chatting and had a great time. She said she wanted to stay overnight with me for $150, of which I agreed. As we got into my room (nice room next door at Club Rio which has since burned down) , she asked me for the money up front. I told her I would give it to her afterwards, at which point she said not and quickly exited. The next morning, I saw her in Hunters drinking coffee and she apologized for not trusting me. I told her it was ok. She next told me that she was going to Zacatecas the following Monday as she couldn't make enought money at Hunter's. No business. I told her to wait and give it some time but her mind was made up.

She regularly texted me everyday once she got to Zacatecas, asking me how things were going and stuff. She said she was working in a bar there with a friend a making more money than at Hunter's and that she was happy. I asked her if she would like to come the weekend of 12/15 to Nuevo Laredo to spend a weekend with me. She told me that she would.

Two days ago, beautiful Sandra from Ensenada, along with 6 others were shot dead by three gunmen who entered their bar and opened fire.
