Back in September, weather.com reported that the Rio Grande would crest into the banks. Man when this happened, there was massive street flooding; I am talking water that was 1 or 2 feet high. There is no report of the river cresting, but if the expected 2-4 inches of rain falls, the city will be a mess and the river could very well crest a couple of days later if the rain sits over the Rio Grande just north of the city. After several visits to Laredo {business} I figured {with some trepidation} that I would wander across the border and see Mexico for the first time. I was somewhat relieved that my cell still worked in NL. I came down, checked out a few bars, and ended up at at the bar across from Herradura {I can't remember the name}. I should have told him it's my communicator to contact the Mother Ship.

I am sure that if I had turned my head to look at the other cop then the guy with my wallet would have lightened it by $20 or $50.
