I do not recommend boystown, it also has become somewhat of a joke, but there are some that swear by it. I won't go there.
The best thing for you, would be come down and try both the downtown, and boystown, opportunities, see which best suits your desires.

It's a state wide thing. https://minutounotamaulipas.com/15577-2/ is about Tampico, many bars closed for very minor infractions, putting thousands of people out of work.

Now they are even saying the new laws may prohibit the operation of The Zonas de Tolerencia in both Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo. More as I know it.
Also, I was told last night that in the paper they said that when downtown bars liquor license expires, they will not be allowed to renew, but I can't find that in print. The above is in print.

Spoke with the general manager of the Montera tonight, all the bar workers must go to Ciudad Victoria for a drug screen, those that pass will be allowed to keep their job when the bar opens in a week or so. When it opens. No ficha drinks will be sold, every woman that enters must be escorted and have current health papers. So the ho's will wait outside until someone passes that will escort them in, if their papers are current. More when I know it.

Lately Emilianos has become somewhat of a circus. All kinds of weird people hanging outside. Beggars, vendors, hookers, and various assorted others. So, I would not be surprised if the new government does not take some action very soon, being that it is located about 1/2 block from the International Bridge #1.

Posts: 942It definitely seems like they are cracking down. I guess they are trying to get the tourism back up in el centro and change the image. That will probably cause more chicas to start working out of Boystown where the pros can be consolidated, at the same time the crackdown could be temporary and become laxed as time goes on and chicas slowly start to appear in the bars downtown again.
