@bbond - can you please elaborate why you recommended not to go to NLBT. I have not been there since June or July (whenever the floods/shootouts occurred) and I know a lot has changed since then.

The last NLBT lady phone # which I have in my phone seems to be dead now so I might go ahead and delete it - a ceremonious end of an era!

I was about ready to leave for NL when I read B Bonds report. I do really appreciate his reports and perspective on safety and what is going on. I am probably going to come down for the night. I am wondering if B Bond now stays out of the Montero as he has not mentioned going there recently. If I go I will post a report tomorrow when I get back. I think all of us appreciate recent news.

I saw Imran last night, we drank a few in the Intimo and the Herradura. Last I saw of him he was headed to the Penthouse. He asked about NLBT, I recommended he not go out there, whether he did or not, I don't know.

Downtown is relatively calm, last night soldiers came into the Herradura, they asked for ID and searched a few guys in the bar, then left.

Most girls are complaining of "no money" because of lack of tourists.

Wednesday there were several narco-blockades and shoot-outs here and that night the bars were almost empty.

I did not get to laredo till 2:00AM. Crossing the bridge I saw several loud techno/dance clubs open. The clubs might be attracting the college crowd again. I was able to get a room with fiesta for 410 pesos with tv. Got room 117 which is livable. Was in herradura by 2:30 with a corona. The place was packed with locals dancing and having a good time. I had to get a chair on the side of the bar wall but it had a table next to it. My waiter offered to find me a chica but the pickings were way to slim. I had one old lady that reminded me of my grandpa hit me up for drinks but no amount of beer was getting me with that. I stayed till 4 AM hoping for a rush of girls but nothing. This was Saturday too. At 4 AM I was standing by the hot dog stand hoping to catch something but had no luck. I approached one girl across the street that was decent looking but she jumped away from me after asking if she was working. A minute later she was in a cab and leaving. Worst part is my hotel neighbor manged to find a girl that tried to win an oscar for moaning. I have business the next two days or I would have stayed Sunday. Plan on making a return visit Tuesday or Wednesday. Can't go to Mexico and not get laid.

I have gotten much better g-friend exp in the downtown clubs with the dancing and just hanging out. I stay at the fiest which is right down the street from all of the downtown clubs.

I love hanging around down town I find good cheap pussy in both those places.the gilrls a decent looking and are not 100% pro. the drinks are cheap and so are the fecha drinks.

I would have to agree Balto1. I would go back again to check out the downtown scene. I still need to check out La Mondura (I think that's what it's called). What I liked about Herradura and Intimo is there proximitry to one another. Each club is not more than a block away from the other. And the private/covered parking area is also a block away. That helps with the safety factor. Let's be honest, anywhere in Mexico at this point in time is risky, especially when you expose yourself walking around in the streets and public clubs. So, you just need to consider safety in terms of scale. Most safe and least safe, or something in between. The fact that these two clubs are so close to eachother and there's lots of people walking around puts the situation somewhere in the middle range of being safe. I'll be honest, I did have the safety factor in my mind as walked through the streets and even in the clubs. I will give credit to Boystown. As far as feeling safer, I did feel safer walking around boystown than in the downtown area. The major issue with boystown is that damned check point at the entrance. Once you make it past that, your relatively safe. I would say the best way to get into boystown is to ride in a group with a local transport that rides from Laredo to the NL redlight district and drops you off. The only draw back to that is that you have to go with the schedule that the transports run. Either way, there's no escaping a risk. Another thing that did bother me a bit with the downtown scene versus boystown, is the extent to how some of the guys in the club may feel that they have claim the women in the clubs, you know, the possession factor. I feel as if there is more of a chance in the club setting of some possesive jealous jerkoff macho guy feeling that you're messing around with his broad and that's where the trouble starts. In boystown, I never really felt that. In boystwon I didn't feel as if I was budging in on someone elses chick, but at the clubs I was very aware of that possibility, especially, at Intimo. I guess the key is to always be aware and ask the broad if she has any customers in the house or if she has any relationship going. I know I did. Reaon being that I was talking with this girl I had just met from Intimo, Janet, and no sooner some guy walks up to her on the side and starts talking to her while she's next to me. The thing was that she never did break contact with me. Her leg was close up pressing against mine so I took that as positive body language. But at any rate, after the guy left I did ask her just to be on the safe side if she had anything going with anyone there at the time. Don't get me wrong, I believe in standing my ground if confronted, but I am not a fighting fool either. I am not going to risk my life for some chick in a club. I'll easily walk away from that mess. It's like, hey buddy, you can have her, there's lots more where she came from!

Hey Balto1, and you're right about the price of the broads in the downtown area, at least my first experience last week was good regarding the cost. $30 to start and maybe a $20 tip if she's good to you and treats you right, and you got away with a $50 connection. Not to mention $12 for the hotel room if you're in a hurry and not particular about where you get your rocks off. Hell, at boystown in most of your "upper scale" bars, (those few that are left) you'd be lucky to start negotiating $60. Plus $20 for the room for 40 frekin' minutes which end up feeling like 15 minutes once your there. And the drink factor, too. I went downtown with $100 in my pocket. And with that I go my fill of booze, bought the gals drinks and a few snacks, and got laid. Not a bad deal, I'd say.
