Is it possible to get girls early? When is the selection good?

Some girls work early, mainly the most undesirable ones, but some good ones too. Usually around 3 pm or mainly in or around the Montera. Of course most work nights, and some nights, Thursday thru Saturday, are the best. Sunday, (last night) , had an unusual number working, but a lot of regulars were not present.

I was robbed walking between these downtown bars, by the NL police. Go buy yourself a jock strap, or hidden money belt, and hide most of your big money there. Have a little money in your billfold, or pocket, NO CREDIT CARDS, OR ATM CARDS, and act like that's all the money you have. Wear underwear over your jock strap. Cops probably won't frisk your crotch area, so hopefully you'll be safe on getting robbed by the sleazy cops in Mexico. I've been robbed 3 times by these fuckin assholes. Once in NL, and twice in Juarez.

They may look in your shoes, or socks, so risky to hide money there. When I was robbed in Juarez, they almost made me take off my shoes. (The cop that was frisking me in Juarez, was frustrated with me, because he knew I had more money on me. He couldn't find it. He was looking at my shoes. He didn't know where I was hiding my money.) They thought I might be hiding money in my shoes. I had a hidden money belt, under my pants, but they didn't look under my pants. A jock strap would have worked also, in this case. They are just looking for money to steal. If you don't like it, they will just falsely accuse you of something, and take you to jail. They ain't playing. They mean business. If you want to play hardball, they can play hardball too, and they know it.

A female cop, who was with these 2 other asshole cops in Juarez, asked me, "Why are you in Juarez"? I told her I was sight seeing. She shook her head, and told me, "No you're not. Are you looking for women"? I told her, "No."
So why was I in Juarez? Shit, I was looking for women.

As always. Awesome info. I appreciate the info and offer for guidance. I go on vacation in July. But will have free time here and there. One more question. At what time can I find the girls? I used to love hitting BT before dark so I could hit the girls before all the traffic. Is it possible to get girls early? When is the selection good?

I had been to NLBT once by myself. I know no spanish. I had good experience. When I got back to USA and told my friends, they freaked out saying that it was very dangerous. I hence want to make friends here and then go with them just for safety.

Any suggestions would help.

Basically there are 4 bars to work in, Montera, Intimo, Herradura, and Jorrachos. Sure there are more bars than that, but those are normally all I ever hit, all are within 2 blocks of the Fiesta. Downtown girls normally ask 300-500 pesos with 400 prolly the norm, once in a while one will ask 600 or more. I never pay more than 400.

Okay. I don't want to go back to BT as I got burned there. But I am fascinated by some of the stories I am reading about downtown. Can you all summarize what the deal is as I am getting a bit confused. From what I understand that the first step is to get a room at Fiesta. Second step is to find a girl, and this is where I get confused. From what I understand, not all girls are working. So how do you find out without getting slapped or killed? Also, what is the pricing structure. BT was easy. What about in downtown. I DO NOT want to overpay. Also. What is the price for Fiesta?

I went to Heradura and relaxed for about two beers. I found out they don't serve soda but settled for bud lite.

I did notice extra signs on the bar doors and my girl showed me her Working I'd. Besides that everything else seemed normal.

Huh? I drink with at least 2 guys in the Herradura that drink coke only, never a problem, and another guy I know is a mineral water drinker, never a problem.

Working ID? All girls are supposed to have their official Mexican voter card, and all are supposed to have their health papers up to date. A lot slide on the health papers, which cost 60 pesos a week, but miss a week and she has to pay 120 pesos to get them.

I just made a quick run to Laredo this Friday and it was busy. First stop on the way to Fiesta was a new restaurant next to the Fiesta motel. Got two tacos for my room. The taco stand across from Fiesta was already closed. Got my usual room at Fiesta and watched the girl traffic from my balcony. The Blue Fox something has girls outside with a larger lady that approaches any car that stops to talk to them. I guess she is telling them about the special fees. The girls were nice looking but I am sure they cost an extra dollar. A one point I saw a car stop and six girls get out of the back seat. Is it safe right now? When I type "Nuevo Laredo" into google news, I never get "tourism" just crime these days.

Would like to go to the main downtown bars-Herradura, Montera, Intimo. Avoiding NLBT. Are they getting lots of gringo visitors these days or are Americans simply too scared to cross the border? I don't think its good to stick out; I would rather be the poor looking American (and they chose to rob a richer one) than the only American tourist that day.

Anyone want to go in a group? My visits to Mexico have always been real short (been to Tijuana many times but never NL) basically just go, visit a few bars, head back.

So. I'm looking at making my first trip to Nuevo this weekend coming from Houston. Based on all the warnings I've read in the forum, it looks like I'll just avoid NLBT altogether and hit downtown, (I spend most of my free time in Colombia, and have never had any issue even remotely close to what seems to be taking place just across the fence)

I'd like to try and leave tonight if possible, with a 4-5 hour drive I'd arrive late, but saw where some bars are open till 5am.

A couple of questions.

- Is it best to just park my ride on the US side and walk across the bridge to downtown?

- Depending on if I'm leaving my ride on the US side or not. Should I get a hotel and stay on the US side and just walk back after I'm done partying in mexico. Or leave my ride on US soil and grab a hotel in to stay in across the border for my trip, (like Motor Fiesta, or Matamaros)?

- If I leave my car and get a hotel across the border for the weekend. Will I have the same kind of problems of being searched and extorted by the mexican border crossing, when walking across with my wallet and a backpack of clothes and toilettries?

- Where is the nearest cambio to exchange $, or do most just get by with paying in american currency?

- I saw a post where someone stated they came across with the trucker vans. Where is this, and is this a viable option since I will be travelling solo?

The latest incidents where buses were stopped, they obligated only the men to exit the buses, the women were allowed to continue on. But I suppose the women would still be scared that next time it may be different. The latest mass graves found included only male occupants. Which, according to.

I went recently on a Thursday night and it was slow. A smart mexican would open a upscale strip club downtown but I have a feeling he would have to pay off a lot of cops, politicians and gangs.
