Thanks for the responses. I frequent different places especially Tijuana. If the comment about the STD testing is correct I may pass. This is kind of a deal breaker.

STD testing here is a joke. Very unreliable, really means they had no visible discharges or sores, they are supposed to take blood every so often, but girls work around that.

I do not recommend boystown, it also has become somewhat of a joke, but there are some that swear by it. I won't go there.

The best thing for you, would be come down and try both the downtown, and boystown, opportunities, see which best suits your desires.

I wouldn't. I went to Reynosa and it was dead. This government crackdown is real. Save your $$ and fly to San Diego and Tijuana or go deeper in Mexico like to Monterrey if you want Mexican women. I went to a gentleman's club in Reynosa and saw nothing but gentlemen.

Also, I was told last night that in the paper they said that when downtown bars liquor license expires, they will not be allowed to renew, but I can't find that in print. The above is in print.
It's a very sad future facing NL right now, I am told the new laws will not allow any bar in NL to renew it's alcohol license. I don't know if they can apply for new ones or are forced to close. People extremely pissed at this, and expect to see repercussions very soon. They tell me the new alcohol commissioner is crazy and is trying to close everything. He won't last. Trust me there. But the thing is, he is in Ciudad Victoria, and well protected. Right now it's a wait and see thing, could get better, could get worse.

    Bar Montera

Spoke with the general manager of the Montera tonight, all the bar workers must go to Ciudad Victoria for a drug screen, those that pass will be allowed to keep their job when the bar opens in a week or so. When it opens. No ficha drinks will be sold, every woman that enters must be escorted and have current health papers. So the ho's will wait outside until someone passes that will escort them in, if their papers are current. More when I know it.

Lately Emilianos has become somewhat of a circus. All kinds of weird people hanging outside. Beggars, vendors, hookers, and various assorted others. So, I would not be surprised if the new government does not take some action very soon, being that it is located about 1/2 block from the International Bridge #1.

It definitely seems like they are cracking down. I guess they are trying to get the tourism back up in el centro and change the image. That will probably cause more chicas to start working out of Boystown where the pros can be consolidated, at the same time the crackdown could be temporary and become laxed as time goes on and chicas slowly start to appear in the bars downtown again.

I mentioned that I have seen many solo women in Emilianos lately, he say they are in violation of the law and sooner or later will be dealt with. He says the new government officials are serious about cleaning up centro, even if it means closing every single bar. So, I suppose, one day when you least expect it, Emilianos will either start complying or get shut down. But, so far, they operate as usual.
