I'm planning to bus in to Laredo with greyound, walk across the border, check out Guerrero street, then get a taxi to Boystown. 8-9 pm is when things get going?

Might be a tad slow then but will pick up usually after 9-10.

Around what time does Boystown close down and are there enough taxis available at that time to take me back to the bridge? How late is the border crossing open? I was then going to walk to the greyhound station.

NLBT don't close, it's 24/7, taxis available at all hours, but if there is a lot of people you may have to wait a bit for one.
Border crosing is also 24/7, no problem to walk to buses in Laredo.

Pancakes can't be PM'ed, or I'd offer some advise and guidance for downtown.

Sorry I don't know the date of the Christmas Fiesta/Posada at Papagayo's. But I can assure you 100% that it will not be worth going to.

I was last in Papa's on Oct. 30. They had maybe around 10 women, non of them good looking. Very few customers. This is the way Papa's is all the time now, it has gone to hell in a handbasket.

I agree. I stumbled upon the party to celebrate 16 of September and it was totally lame. It was a Friday night and only 10 women and a small number of guys were there. It was sad because they actually had a live band playing to almost no audience. Back in its hey day, Papas threw killer parties. They were almost always on Tuesdays and people would come from all over the US to see the girls (girls were required to show up or pay a heavy fine if they wanted to work). Those were the days ...

Papagayo's was my favorite bar in NLBT for many years. I have attended 9 previous Fiestas at Papa's. Papa's has been dying a slow death for several years. The long time owner La Patrona Ofelia died back in 2007 at age 84. Ofelia's two granddaughters and the husband of one of the granddaughters now own and run Papa's.

Papagayo's does not have the Gringo clientel they used to have, which brought lot's of chicas to work there. Now with very few customers, there are very few chicas. The over senastionalized Drug Cartel violence in the USA News has scared the Gringos off from coming to NLBT/Papagayos.

And the Pinche Pendejo NLBT Policia pulling their random stunts ie planting a knife. Stealing your money while searching you for drugs & weapons, also makes their mordida/bribe victims not want to return to NLBT. It's Russian Roulette with the NLBT Policia every time you go to NLBT now. You never know when they will be ok/cool or aggressive Pinche Pendejo Cabron Rateros looking to rip you off for a mordida/briB.

Does anyone have info on when the annual Christmas party is this year at Papas?

I have not been down there for a few years- is it safe enough now to catch a cab within a few blocks after crossing the border, ride to BT get a ride up to Papas parking lot(and not have some BT cop plant a knife on you)

I wish things would just go back to the way they were, it really puts a cramp on the mood to monger!

I crossed over to NL Sunday 11/8.

There was 14 guys with me in shuttle van.

Few had Passports, I have Passport card.

Coming back all got thru with just a license if that is all they had, but one.

If you do not have a Passport it helps to show birth certificate and license.

*They told my Wingman who only had a license, that he was warned, they would not let him in next time without passport. Yeah right.

*The one guy who did not get back in with us, was on probation, they ran his ID and held him. Bad move, his fault. I do not know how his story ended.

*The shuttle I use picks truckers up at truck stops I35 Exit 13. Leave 7pm, return after midnight. $25. 7 days a week. Told by driver/american guide, 90% of guys only have a license and mr. Parole is the only one we have heard of not getting back. Sometimes agents give more verbal static, but let you in. Same at El Paso when I was going there often. One day they might tell you, you need to get Passport, The next day they just pass you thru. The shuttles are over there right now, and they will make it back.

Don't worry, go and enjoy yourself!

Walked around with a wingman and checked out the door girls. Wingman was new so showed him sights, main one was closed, Danash. I have not been able to get to laredo when Danash was open, looking forward to see if those girls are worth it.

If you liked the Shamrock girls, you really need to find a way to Nuevo Laredo on a Thursday or Friday. Danash is open on Saturdays, too, but it isn't as good as Friday. The girls are Danash are almost all hotties but that comes at a price, sometimes double what that girl at Shamrock charged. But even if you don't take a girl upstairs, it is good for seeing the dancers get naked.

Pullman can be hit or miss as far as tasty chicas go. You should also add Senoritas to your list. It is along the back near Danash. The old maps here and other boards will say it is a transvestite bar (when it was called Hollywood back years and years ago). These days, Senoritas is all senoritas (that bar between Danash and Senoritas called Eros is a gay bar so the cute girl you might see wanting you to go inside might actually be a dude).

2. Will any downtown hotel do?

I paid 1000 pesos for an hour everytime I called one. As for hotels , you'd just have to call and ask.

Here's a new one, seems to be an independent, but I don't know.

This is my second report, and second trip to BTNL. I am a truck driver, had delivery Laredo, so put BT on my down time list. I enjoyed this trip better.

First stop, trucker shuttle parks at club Marthas. Had a drink there, flirted with one girl, bought one or two drinks and left that dog house. Couple of cuties, but if my ride did not stop there, would not go.

Stopped at Shamrock, finally found the kind of place I like. Much nicer looking girls than marthas dog house. Soon as we come in hottie dancing naked on pole. I like this, so a couple of girls come for us as soon as we come in. I ch oose the young one, I am older than winngman, thats what old men want. Girl says she is 19, tall looks like Russian chick. I ask her if she is Russian, says no, and speaks little/no english. Fine with me, I prefer more action than talk. And action she was. Me and wingman were drinking Jack daniels and coke, feeling good. I buy this chica a drink, one of many cause I was enjoying the time. She sits on top of me, facing me in chair, rolling on my member the hole time, kising and sticking those boobs in my face. Yes I took her to room. Cost $20 rm, $60 chica. She was like I like them energetic, young tight P$$$$, 45 min before they knock, like the quick shower bfore/after, I think they let me get away with 1 hr. Fair play. No tip asked or given, bought g cigs and two more drinks while in my lap rolling before we left. Had a good time, good enough GFE and nice energetic attiude, Name was Jasmine.

After getting back and checking this sight, relized I should have tried Pullman and strip joint across from it. After Sunday/Shamrock/Jasmine, I think I like this kind of joint and want more. I think I had a 7 or 8, maybe better next time different club.

I would imagine that the fact that you and your son look and sound Mexican had everything to do with the hassle you got.

The person in question is my nephew. Neither he nor his father look nor sound Mexican. In fact if you saw them or spoke to them, you could easily mistake them for big, white rednecks from Tennessee or Mississippi or South Carolina or. Both white as lillies and if anything New York accents.

If he is however a US citizen he should have made it clear that he wasn't going anywhere but into his country. I'm a very obviously big, white, redneck from Tennessee so I can see how it would be easier for me. If they were to give me ANY crap about not being let back in I would raise so much hell you'd hear me in Canada. Last time I went down their was a Pakistani guy in my group who did get held up at the border on the return but only for about 20 minutes.

I hate for my first report to be negative but. You are either the luckiest man that I have ever heard of or my son and myself are the unluckiest.

I am a Mexican citizen and my son is a US citizen born in Houston, Texas of a Salvadorian mom. Both of us (mom and myself) were living legally in Houston at the time of his birth. My ex wife and I seperated when my son was 2 years old. He is now 21 years old. I had not seen him since she took him to El Salvador at the age of 2.

I got a call from my ex Sister-in-Law in May telling me that my son was in Houston and wanted to meet me. We made arrangements for my S-I-L and her husband to bring Jr. To meet me in Nuevo Laredo. We have traveled throughout Mexico since May.

On Sunday Sept. 13 Jr. And myself spent the night in Nuevo Laredo and were to drive to Houston on Monday the 14th. When we got to inspection at bridge #1 about 9:00am, Jr. Could not find his passport. We were sent to inspection. All of our possession were gone through, still no passport.

Jr. Did have in his possession his Texas Birth Certificate and both a valid Texas DL and a valid state of New York ID.

Jr. Was not allowed to enter back into the US with these documents. We were referred to the US Consulates office in Nuevo Laredo.

On Tuesday Sept. 15 we went to the Consulates office and were told to return on the 17th, which we did, explained out situation to a very unsympathetic US Govt employee. They would see what they could do.

Finally on Monday Sept. 28 Jr. Got a replacement passport and he was finally allowed to return to Houston. We made 6 visits to the Consulates office between 15th and 28th. We encountered 3 other people that had the problem of entering Mexico and trying to return home without a passport.

One elderly lady told us that she had told both the border agent at bridge #2 and the consulates office that she was unaware of the new law of requiring a passport to re-enter the US. She told us that both told her that "ignorance of the law is no excuse".

I do not know that this is a regular occurance on the part of the Border Agents nor how often it has happened, but can tell you that it happened to Jr. And at least three other people since the middle of September.

It is true that they can not keep you from re-entering the US without a passport. But I would hate to think of what might have happened if Jr. Had not even had a passport to begin with.

Just the unpleasantness of being sent inside is enough for me to reply to this post.

If I was a US citizan and did not have a US Passport, I personally would not even consider making the trip to Nuevo Laredo.

There maybe more than just that one, it's just the first one I ran across.
I personally have never called them, but I have called 2 others listed and was not dis-appointed with either.
