Thinking about driving to NL tonight from the Houston area. Any advice on spending the night in NL? Like Fiesta or El Meson Del Rey? If I get a room in Larado, how far is it to Safari or Martha's or anywhere for ladies? I have been to Costa Rica, Phillipines, Thailand, etc.

Sure miss NL but I have been very busy travelling on the other side of the world: Philippines, China, Indonesia, Singapore, etc. Next week I am going to Rio de Janeiro with Chris Long. I hope to find some time to visit NL in early or mid August, but only if you are in town. Hell, half the fun is drinking with you and catching up with what's going on.

In the meantime, I keep reading the NL thread. Take care.

We should be here then, we do plan on going on vacation around the end of July or the first of August, but the middle to the end of August we should be here. You are missing some great opportunities lately, hopefully they will still be available then, it's been quite amazing here on weekends. Seems like a lot of Monterrey girls are coming up for the weekend, maybe that will hold a while, maybe not, as the customer base does not support them.

I wasn't in Nuevo Laredo or Jorochos last night. I moved back to San Diego 5 months ago. Must have been someone that looked like me. Is the Cecelia you are referencing the girl that hangs out with Laura all the time. She has a silver filling in one of her front teeth? If so then I am totally amazed that she is a thief. She and I got into a big fight one night as I was sharing a room at the Fiesta with my friend and I wouldn't get another room so we could do the deed. She was cussing me out and flipping me off in the Fiesta lobby. The night guy told me he would never allow her back in the hotel again ever. My friend told me he saw Cecelia working behind the bar at Jorochos last weekend. The ast time I was in Nuevo Laredo was the 18th and 19th of May.

On a different note, I'm wondering if you can get me some intel. I used to see a girl that worked in La Montera by the name of Letty. She was of medium height and build with streaked blond hair. Last time I saw her was last November. She was the sweetest, easy going, best woman I ever met. It's like she dropped off the face of the earth. I have sent repeated texts and left several phone messages and she has not replied. I would really love to get in touch with her. Do you think you can ask around to see if anyone knows what happened to her? I would appreciate it.

I don't know this Letty you speak of, I can ask around a bit. She, as many girls do, hook up with some-one, husband / boyfriend gets out of jail, etc, or go back home for a period of time. They disappear for a number of reasons, but she'll probably resurface sometime in the future.

There are, at least were, several escort agencies here, I know where to find their old numbers. One has a facebook page even. The ones with the facebook page, I inquired, and was told 1000 pesos for 1 1/2 hours.

Thanks Bbond for the information. I hope NLBT opens again actively. It was my first experience at NL 3 years ago and I remember how much fun I had. Danash is a waste of time. Went there once and returned in few min. I knew it was high end and overpriced for simply no reason.

I wish to monger in NL preferably in down town where there are common people around and it would probably be safer than BT. I do not know however if there are enough gringos crossing into NL these days.

Actually there was an article in this mornings Laredo paper saying that the violence has subsided and more people are venturing into Nuevo Laredo. And that seems to be the case downtown, it's been interesting the last couple weeks.

And yes, forget NLBT, with maybe the exceptions of Safari and Marthas, perhaps Shamrock too. It seems Danash will not re-open ever, as they removed the lettering on the building and gutted the interior.

My trip happened on Sunday April 28th. My opportunities to visit Mexico are rare and especially because I need an excuse that my wife will buy. So, dropping my in-laws off in Nuevo Laredo around 6pm, my story was that I planned to cross back over and spend the night in Laredo Texas and get back in time to go to work around 10am on Monday. I dropped off my in-laws around 6pm and then headed off to another area of Nuevo Laredo so I would be unseen. I had prearranged two different plans with two different chicas in the hope that Plan B would work if for some reason Plan A did not. During my out of sight time, I start calling the two girls with no success. So, I head back downtown around 7pm and was not impressed with what I saw. I realize I was probably too early but with Plan A & B failing I decide to cross over and head to Acuna by way of Del Rio Texas.

Bridge 1 traffic takes forever and I do not cross over until around 8:30pm. I make a quick stop to eat and drive up the road as fast possible and arrive around 11:30pm in Acuna. I check into San Antonio hotel only to find that ALL the bars are closed on Sunday because of a new city law! I am no stranger to Acuna and have had much success arriving around 8pm on weeknights (back when I could get away with work week adventures) , picking up a chick from Jessie's and having my with with her until around midnight for the low price of only $60 to $80 (two to three shots on goal included). I must admit that I have even gotten Hunters quality girls for that price. Most of the girls liked the deal because they could either go back home or party the night away with the money. So, I realized 11:30pm was late but did not anticipate a law would close the bars totally down. The place was a ghost town.

I had old phone numbers but they were over 6 months old so they were worthless. I asked the guys at San Antonio hotel to help but they proved worthless. Would I have paid $100 at this point (knowing I would not return for another 6 months)? Hell yeah! Heck, I was willing to pay $20 for a taxi driver to bring me a girl. Next time, I will try sending you a private message a week before I arrive to see if you can hook a fellow traveler up. Thanks.

well, the last time i reported on this site was back in january, right before i moved to san diego from san antonio. it was a sad day leaving san antonio, after spending 7 great years there. i am originally from california but i will take texas anyday over this high priced congested friggin state. gas prices for premium, of which my rx8 takes, are $4. 50 a gallon. i paid as much as $4. 95 three weeks ago. the roads out here are great and so is the weather, but everything else sucks.

two weeks ago, i called my buddy from san antonio and told him i was coming to town. we decided to head over to ciudad acuna friday night and then nuevo laredo on saturday. i procured a rental car and we headed down to acuna at about 12:30pm. got into acuna at about 3:30pm i had made arrangements to meet up with a cutie from hunter's ranch at the infamous corona club (this is my all time favorite bar to listen to country music. something about the acoustics makes the sound great). she told me she would bring a girlfriend for my amigo. so, we get into corona club and proceed to drink some corona's. well, after about 4 of them, and an hour and a half later, the dates are a "no show." of course my calls and texts to my girl went unanswered. so, after realizing that they aren't going to show, we head over to the corner bar called "tochos." this is an interesting place. looks and smells like a total locals dive and plays nothing but puro ranchera and nortena crap. once in awhile, there are one or two real cuties in the place. it is a hit and miss proposition. unfortunately for us, there were nothing but the usual gorditas in the place with a bunch of drunk locals sitting around drinking their 32 ounce beers (tor****s). yes, they sell or allow the locals to come in with these beers.

after two strikes out (first corona then tochos) , i head over to "jessie's" bar, which is a pool hall / bar. there were virtually no women in the place but i enjoyed myself playing some great rock and roll tunes from their fine juke box. my friend has a girlfriend in acuna and he met up with her. after a few drinks, i went back to the white river hotel where we were staying in hopes of seeing what my friend was doing. he was in the room with his girlfriend having a good time. i went into my room, showered and headed up to the hill to "hunter's ranch." i figured that it had to be a better venue than the previous three locations. much to my surprise, i was wrong. there were hardly any women in the place. i hooked up with one of the few good looking women in the place and we went back to my hotel downtown about 3am. all i remember is her totally rushing me saying."how much you pay me." "you pay me o no sexo." "you need give me propina." this girl was a total hustler. i gave her $40 and told her just to go home. well, my buddy had a good time with his girl but my return to acuna was a total bust. i would like to tell all of you thinking about going down to acuna to not waste your time.

well, the next day we head over to nuevo laredo. i called my girlfriend that i have known down there for years and she was going to meet up with me at about 2pm. we get down to nuevo and check into our favorite hotel downtown call el meson del rey. this is the best hotel in nuevo for the price, believe me. don't waste your money going to the dirty old beatup fiesta. the location, where a lot of shootings have taken place next to this hotel, is horrible. recently, i posted that two cartel thugs walked into the bar right across from fiesta called the "blue fox" and point blank killed a waiter and a woman patron. this was one of my favorite bars and it was subsequently shut down never to reopen. the duena now runs the "shamrock" down in boystown. been there a few times but it isn't that great and the waiters have told us stories of the friggin cartels driving around and indiscriminately robbing and shooting people.

well, to make a long story short, my string of bad luck continued. my girlfriend from nuevo never showed up nor did she respond to my texts. i found this interesting, as both of these aforementioned women have always showed up and have been dependable. i don't get it. thought the economy was supposed to be bad down in mexico. so, my friend and i get ready and head over to la famosa club montera. as i walked in the place, i was greeted very nicely by the meseros and several women. it had been awhile since i was in the club and it was like the good old times again. i must have had some bad karma going though. i met this beautiful little blond and asked her to hang out with me. she obliged and we drank and danced for about two hours. the next thing i know, she is all of a sudden gone. i walked around the bar and saw her in the arms of a local. as i saw this, i stupidly flipped her off. about 10 minutes later, she comes back over to me and i summarily dismissed her with the word "chingate." she got the message real quick and left. then i got to thinking that maybe i should have given her a chance. oh well, this made five strike outs in two evenings for me.

i had previously reported on a beautiful woman by the name of laura that frequents montera among other bars. her name is laura. this woman is a viper and will steal your money faster than you can blink. the way she does it is to seduce you with her remarkable assests (beautiful rack and body). then she gets you to commit to paying her for sexo. when she gets you in the room, she makes up some crap like when she told me "you bit my nipple. i no like that." of course, i didn't. this was just her way of skipping any semblance of foreplay to get the deed done so she can collect her money and get the hell out of there. she has done that to several gringos. avoid her at all costs. we saw good ole laura plying her wares but she refused to say hi or acknowledge us.

my friend and i, after a rather dismal evening, except for the fun time dancing and meeting old friends, headed over to jorochos. this is a bar that picks up after montera closes. i met an older woman in there and we spent about 2 hours making out and drinking. the next thing i know, she tells me she has to leave with her friend. shortly after that, i met a cute blond sitting with a friend. i went over and sat down with her and we had a great time talking, drinking and dancing. she was a sexy looking diva. in walks a waiter from the old blue fox who takes me in the corner and tells me to absolutely stay away from her. that her boyfriend is from the the mafia. just my damn luck. strike 7. i decide to walk outside and order a couple of quesadillas. they make the best ones right outside of jorochos. i eat my first quesadilla and this blond that i previously saw in montera walks out the front door. i look at her and say,"do you want to come with me to my hotel?" she said yes and off we went.

needless to say, we spent the night and had a great time. so number 8 was the magic number. it doesn't have to be this difficult. i will be coming back on 5/24 to nuevo laredo. ciao.

man that sure was a lot of work. my last three trips have been pretty good, all down and back in the same day. i have found that about 4 hours of drinking and banging is enough and it is so much easier to cross back over around midnight than wait in that long ass line with a hangover. have had some really good performers lately. work is kicking in full force so my trips will probably be limited until the fall. maybe we will cross paths there again someday.
