While FOSTA-SESTA is anti-trafficking legislation, FOSTA in particular conflates sex trafficking and sex work by arguing that Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects online intermediaries from being held liable for their users' speech, "was never intended to provide legal protection to websites that unlawfully promote and facilitate prostitution." The legislation, which was introduced by Republican representative Ann Wagner, makes it a federal crimepunishable by up to 10 years in prisonto operate "an interactive computer service" with "the intent to promote or facilitate the prostitution of another person."
OK, I can see how eccie and backpage fell under this unlawful practice but ISG does not intend to do that, it just allows users to report it. Mocospace and POF do not operate under the pretense of breaking this law either. I agree how FOSTA will be a destabilizing force among individuals who need to trade sex in order to maintain their sanity. We have been maintaining our sanity like this for millions of years but women hate it and are possibly retaliating against this million year old practice. I hope that this new legislation will allow women to be more open to real and honest relationships because that is why we men were trading sex in the first place.

My belief is, and I could be very wrong, that if they are able to shut this down, Jackson will get it back up one way or another.
I still have you on whatsapp bbond. I think providers in the US are going to be taking their business into apps like mocospace and pof. I don't know how effective facebook will be in the P4P market. I'll stay in touch and hope you are doing well.

I don't go near the border often in daylight hours, but the times that I have, a tourist is seldom seen. The old mercado downtown, as well as the shops on the street, has but a hand full of shops open, compared to many many of years past. Good food? Not so much, I prefer the food in Laredo to that of Nuevo Laredo, Nuevo Laredo does have a few good places to eat. If the bridge wasn't such a hassle, I would eat out in Laredo a lot more often than I would eat in a restaurant in Mexico. For all intents and purposes, the tourism industry here is, for all practical purposes, very near dead.

    Casual Visitor.

I imagine that people want an escape from the same monotonous life style and make a run for the border to enjoy good food, beverages and adult fun along the way. Are those days over? Or can a guy, group of friends or even families still make that run for the border and come back with a few souvenirs to entice their friends to make the same trip someday?

    Thanks Bbond.

I don't venture out of the downtown area at night. That area is relatively safe. Out lying areas, especially Boystown, should be avoided. What is happening now is cartel against the military, in the past it has been cartel vs cartel, there's a huge difference. However, there was a curfew notice posted by the cartel, warning people to stay home at night, but I have only seen that in one place and can find no other reference to it. I have no plans to alter my activities.

Now the navy claims they did not kill the family in the car, photos released today prove that wrong, bullet holes in the roof of the car, the shots came from above.

Anyhow the navy (la marina) seems to be the only institution that is actively fighting the CDN in Nuevo Laredo, the rest of them, soldatos, policia estatal, transitos are doing nothing, and even hang out at the puntos de venta with the cartel guys; best to avoid all of them, but if you are ever subjected to a "revisin" particularly by the policia estatal always keep an eye on your wallet if you can. They will say they are looking for droga (ha ha), like maybe you have a piedra hidden in your wallet somewhere, but in reality they want to rob you. Things are getting back to the way they were before June 2011 when the navy got rid of the corrupt local police after the big shootout of May 2011 similar to the one this past weekend.

I found this report in this incident: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.36c3bb3a1e4f.
Downtown is quite slow, and seems to be getting slower. Mainly just the hard core local girls are all that are around, and there's not many of those. Not dead, there are some nice girls around, but not nearly like it used to be.

Scattered, but mainly Emilianos, but Intimo, and at times Jorochos, but no where close to like it used to be.
