To those of you that have gone this route does security usually not allow any guests / visitors outside of those that have officially booked? Not even if I walk in with the person?

You need to contact the host directly, some have very strict guest policies, most do not, but you need to double check. I had a couple of issues with security and they denied entry.

Also many of the Airbnb host use mgmt, companies so that involved a middleman. Be careful I learned the hard way.

Well I don't blame the girls that blew you off after you tried this so called trick. To me it seems like something a used car salesman would do.
