Oh and one more thing, there were three guys who were selling those $12 tickets for the dance or whatever and they are kind of pushy (ie high pressure sales tactics). Every few minutes, they walk up and ask if I want another ticket. I told them that I will call them when I want it, but htey don't leave you alone.

Finally did end up in Matamoros. I stayed in Brownsville at the Super 8 Motel.

Walked over to the bridge (about 3 blocks) and crossed it. Had dinner one day at Garcia's and the other day at La Fogada.

Taxi from the Matamoros side of bridge to Paradise was $10 (seems steep, but they all quoted this and I did not haggle).

Paradise was enjoyable. The cover was $5 for which I got an 8 oz beer.

The 12 OZ beers were $2.50 to $3.00.

The lap dances were $12 (one ticket).
The BJ was five tickets ($60).
FS was $150 for the full hour.

If you bought the girl a drink, she sits with you for one dance and it costs five bucks for her drink. while she sits with you, a lot of stroking and petting can go on.

The dances were all nude and almost everythig goes. I had a number of dances, however about half the girls would position themselves such that their pussy was right on my lips and they wanted me to eat them. I declined that as I was worried about the bodily fluid transfer.

The BJ can be covered or uncovered. Again Irecommend CBJ.

Next day when I went, it was interesting, there were a few gringos sitting by the dance stage and the girls pulled each of them on stage and got them naked.

They asked me to come to stage, I declined.

Now I got to try Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo.

Questions for seasoned pros.

What are good bars to sit and have a drink where local talent can be found?

I sat in one bar from 5PM to 7PM nursing beer and watching TV, but it was pretty much deserted.

Second question has to do with the two other clubs I saw on the left and the right side of paradise, one I believe was club imperio and other Immeditely next to paradise, I do not recall the name - how good are those and waht are charges at those clubs.

OK, heres my take on Matamoros..

I've only been to So TX border towns 2 times but from that experiance I know what & where I will go & do in future visits.

I recently went to Matamoros, as I had been to Reynose before. What a f'ing waste of time & money. 1st problem was that I got there too early in the evening (my fault) so there was only a very few women avaliable. Hot, yes, but I'm too damm pickey; I need selection for my hard earned money. But for the prices they charge, man, it sure is not the 'Mexican value' I have come to expect from my many trips to TJ (my usual hangout).

Far better value IMHO is had in Raynosa at the 65 Club.

Only good part about Matamores was that on the way walking from the cab back over the bridge I was stopped by a little girl selling roses, you know, the usual Mexican thing. Since the area was pretty dead I was able to get some quick tittie flash and a quick feel from her before heading back accross the river. Best $5.00 I've ever spent in MX.

I have been to Reynosa many time and have read many reviews about Boy's Town. Some good and some bad. I can only say I for one have had many good nights their. I do think it has a lot to do with attitude. I have only been to Paradise two time and have to say this is the best place to see beautiful women all under one roof. I agree with easyrider walk across take cab it is the safe way to go. No it's the only way to go. I will be in McAllen Tx on the 20th of Nov. and will be their until Dec. 2 if anyone wants to go and party some let me know. I will be going alone and would like to have a friend to go with me. coming to brownsville next week (11/6) and have been reviewing board. seems matamoros, ie paradise club, is best place to go. do cabs, club, and girls take us$$ or do i need pesos. what is current exchange rate and what is best place to do exchange. do policia bother, ie shakedown, gringos who leave club and immediatly get in cab. seems they like to bother those in cars.

anyone up for partying and showing matamoros virgin ropes on 11/6.

any info is helpfu and appreciated.

oriema2002 - I am not the expert that some of these guys are but I have been to all three of these and yes there is a 4th. My first bit of advice would be to read as many posts as you can on this board, EVERY subject from safety to price to quality are addressed. Basically it comes down to a matter of personal choice and location.

Matamoros is close to South Padre (best beach in Texas) and has quality women at the Paradise club. NO boystown means you have to go to the clubs and the policia are thick. Expensive. The mercado zona (shopping) is my favorite and non "working girl" bars here are cheap and comfortable. - Speak Spanish? and/or spend a lot of time in other countries? These things mean a lot here. If the answer is no and no..... unless you want to spend a lot in Paradise go elsewhere.

NL is closest to me and the zona roja is way cool. up front pricing, good attitude towards gringos, laid back policia, and good women make it my favorite weekend party place in Mexico. The town itself is clean and the people helpful and friendly. If you speak no Spanish at all you can still get a good meal and a few drinks in the downtown area. There are also strip clubs near the airport that have girls as pretty as anywhere and you can get private dances or a room upstairs for the right amount of dinero.

Juarez is the largest and least friendly of all. I have only been there twice and that was 2 and 5 years ago so take this for what it is worth. The streets close to the bridge have many hotels with girls working out front. I never made it to their boystown and don't even kow for sure they have one. I hobbied in the hotel area near the bridge only. And made a bulfight.

Reynosa is the 4th and I was just there this weekend. Small and in disrepair, their boystown has very friendly girls and reasonable prices. Stay away from the hustle bars near the front unless you just want to watch dancers. the girls on the side streets are prettier, friendlier, and much cheaper. I had a nice time and was not rushed or worried about my wallet. It is across from McCallen
and I will go back.

Sorry I haven't replied. I was out of town on business and didn't check the board.

Staying in Matamoros.... hmm... The "Gran Hotel Residencial" is perhaps Matamoros' nicest hotel. It used to be ~ 60 USD / night. Not sure if that has changed recently. It has all the amenities of a nice American hotel with the service of true Mexican hotels. I really dig that. Haven't been in a few years so info may be dated.

A cheaper hotel in Matamoros is the Plaza - downtown. It has been taken over by one of the American chains (I think Holiday Inn). Anyway this has always been a good hotel in my book. Haven't been since the take-over. This one used to be around 35-40 USD.

Cabs... If you wan't to stay in the Residencial then you could just take a cab from near the bridge on the U.S. side to the Hotel. Its on Alvaro Obregón (street you are on after crossing the Gateway bridge) about a half-mile in on the left hand side. American cabs used to charge Meter + 5 bucks for crossing the bridge. I don't think crossing with suitcase is dangerous, though. Taxis are lined up near the bridge less than a block away (in plain sight of Mexican bridge/customs officers). Mexican cabs are about 50 - 75 percent cheaper than those is Brownsville.
