Went to Envidia and Media Luna in Matamoros 2 weeks ago. Started at Envidia, there was a fair selection of girls. They really hustle the girl drinks. I think they run about 8 pesos. I really liked 1 girl, but decided not to go upstairs since I had a question mark on how she would be upstairs, and I new if my regular at Media wasn't there I could go to TKch and would be very satisfied. Not a good selection at Media, but its usually packed with locals, and theres always somthing going on onstage with the girls or customers. Ended the night at Media very satisfied. No problems in Matamoros at all. I try to use taxis that I know just for extra safety.

Decided I didn't give a f. How the girl would treat me at Envidia, I just wanted her, so I went back Saturday. Bought her at least 4 drinks (which is still less than 2 lap dances on the US side) , went upstairs. I will be going back in 2 weeks, hopefully she'll be there. Forgot to get a number. Also went to Club Eclipse which always has the best selection of girls. I can't say I feel 100% safe in Mexico but it was very quiet. I crossed back into the US about 3 am and the streets in Matamoros were less busy than usual.

The agencys do give you more bang for the buck, but I like to drink at the clubs and see the selection of girls. There is no red zone in Matamoros that I am aware of. I had planned on going to Reynosa but heard about grenades being throne so I changed my mind. (Four more months til I go back to Thailand)

I am visiting Matamoros soon, and I wanted to know if there was a red zone around there, where street girls are, and bars are with girls. I also wanted to know how safe it is to cross the border, and how safe in general it is to visit the red zone. If anyone could help me with this info, as I am looking for someone down there, I would appreciate it. I will owe you one, while I am there.

I'll be in matamoros for 2 days in the first week of March. This will be my first trip to MX and I do speak basic spanish. I read through most of the recent posts on this forum and sincerely thank mitaban, Piedras649, undakovabrotha and all other who have shared some valuable information.

I wanted to ask what's the absolute maximum that you have to shell out on a single full-length deed? Do not want to get up-sold while I'm there. Also, how far are all the places you guys described from the US consulate office in matamoros? What's the best hotel (and safe) in around the places where the deeds are active? If there are safe and good providers that you have already seen, please share the info / digits on PM if possible.

It's near the northern aspect of the city limits of matamoros. Where the industrial areas are. It's about a 15 minute cab ride from the new international bridge. It is the farthest strip club I go to from the bridge and I try to take a cab with someone I know. It is kinda scary out there because you are just inside the city limits. I went last Sunday and they had about 10 girls working. 2 or 3 eights. No nines or tens. Did not go to room because I went the night before to TKCh and La media. The prettiest girls are definitly at Eclipse. But I prefer dirty over pretty.

The Brownsville Herald

Gunfire broke out in Matamoros Friday, leaving at least 47 people dead and causing the closure of all three bridges between Brownsville and Mexico.

The fighting reportedly involved members of the Gulf Cartel, the Zetas and Mexican federal police and military

University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College closed the Fort Brown campus and moved the soccer games scheduled for Friday night to the Brownsville Sports Park.

Gunfire was reported in Matamoros in a number of incidents beginning Friday morning, with at least 30 people dead by around noon, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on condition that his name not be used.

In the afternoon, a major confrontation near city hall killed at least 17 more people, the source said.

One of those killed around midday was identified as Carlos Alberto Guajardo, 37, a reporter for the newspaper El Expreso. Sources with knowledge of the incident said Guajardo apparently was killed by soldiers who were chasing narcotics traffickers.

Circo was no cover. Probably because I got there before 10pm. They gave me a receipt to get into Envidia and Envidia gave me a receipt to get into Media Luna plus a free ride over. Circo had the best selection.

That may be true of Matamoros vs. Reynosa, but the price is higher and their is no area to just go and get it like Reynosa.
