Cgarza, thanks for the info. Regarding staying, I was thinking of staying Motel * in Brownsville. Based on what I have read, it appears that I have to walk over the bridge and catch a cab, so I need a hotel very close to the bridge on US side.

What about staying on the Mexico side? - any suggestions and /or recommendations?

If I choose to stay in Matamoros - do I then walk across the bridge with my suitcase and then catch a txi to the cab or is there an alternate way of getting across. I am flying into Harlingen and will be renting a car at the airport.

hustla and others,

i'm a brownsville native so i know my way around matamoros pretty well. i just came back from a road trip over there and i've got some mixed feelings about current developments.

policía/tránsito: these guys are very busy on the street in front of the paradise (i believe its called alvaro obregón). wednesday night i got pulled over as soon as i pulled out of the club. they shook me down for 60 usd. they wanted $150. there are at least 4 or 5 patrol cars circleing the area. this is the second time in a row this happens to me... someone had posted previously to steer clear of tránsito and take a cab. they're not kidding! its worth the cab fare... the club has cabs waiting outside all night to get back to the bridge...

prices are not that much cheaper than u.s. f/s will cost you ~120 usd in their back room. according to the waiter, all girls are available. bj (don't know cbj/bbbj) is ~ 60 usd. i'm not sure how negociable these prices are since the dealing seems to be with whoever is in charge of selling the dance "tickets."

the girls at the club, i have to say, are pretty good looking overall. i found one heavenly creature named lluvia (rain) that i had a great time with. probably an 8.5 - 9 by most standards. she had truly great natural breasts. dresses a little gothic if you're into that. she doesn't speek a word of english so your spanish has to be atleast decent.

don't know much about the action outside the club as the tránsito situation generally discourages exploring.

Sup compadres' south of the border! I need to know an important fact. Is Matamoros worth the trip from Houston, TX??? I go to Nuevo Laredo all the time, or should I say, I use to. Is Matamoros worth the trip? I was planning on taking Southwest Airlines to Harlingen, and from there, either take Greyhound to Matamoros, or rent a car for the night, and drive to Matamoros. All in all, it's pretty cheap, about $100/person, there's usually 4 in my group, to get to Matamoros, and whatever else I'm gonna spend over there. I need to know; is it better in Matamoros, or Nuevo Laredo? If it's not even as good, then damn, it's not worth the extra $$$ for the flight, and ride.

OK, I have ooked the tickets, reserved the renatl car, staying a couple of days in south Padre island, then I want to come to Brownsville and matamoros. I need help, should I stay for the 3 nights in Brownsville or in Matamoros. Which are some hotel suggestions. went on the website of super8motel in brownsville, it looks good. Is it convienient location to action?

i have read quite a few posts, still need some clarifications.

I am flying into Harlingen. The first and possibply second night, I will stay at South padre island.

The last night I will stay close to airport (harlingen), for an early mornig flight out.

This will give me 3 days and nights for Matamoros. I will have a rental car.

I understand that I should not take the car to Mexico, just use taxis - is this a correct?

Second, to get to mexico, I have to walk across the international bridge with my rollon bag. Should I stay the 3 nights in Matamoros or in Brownsville.

I think I would want a hotel close to Paradise for the three days, so I can get the ladies there.

Is walking the only way to get across, if I do not drive my rental car there?

Suggesions, recommenations, advice to a newbie please.

By the way, my first and only experience in Matamoros was in 1970 at the age of 20. A cab driver took my friend and I to a little bar where they girls started throwing ice at us. The one I got with was an absolute doll about three years older than me with a perfect bod and great attitude. I never forgot her. She charged me $10, "and two for the room." Time have changed, huh?

So, true. My little personal paraiso happens to be Juarez, not Matamoros, but it's the same here. I actually moved to El Paso in June of 2000 just because of the chicas across the border. Took a huge cut in pay from Dallas wages for programmers, but finally got an apartment for $200 a month (including bills) in Juarez and a decent job in southern New Mexico. There is always enough dinero for one or two girls a weekend---more pussy than I was getting in Dallas in a month after turning 50---plus I get to study Spanish all weekend and practice it constantly. What you learn from books is easily forgotten. Not one word you learn from emmersion is ever forgotten.

EasyRider is so right about the language and respect for the people being important. I am at the "say everything wrong but meaning clear" stage of my development with Spanish, but from the beginning I noticed how pleased the Mexican people were when I attempted to speak Spanish. It shows respect, and, believe it or not---cholos aside---the Mexican culture as a whole is a much more respectful culture than ours. It's not "cool to be rude" in Mexico. You may make someone laugh because of your poor Spanish, but he will not laughing at you. More likely, if not too busy, he will take the time to tell you the right words. Once you get away from the hustlers in the zonas, the Mexican people are warmhearted and friendly.

If any of you guys find youself in El Paso, I will be glad to tell you where to go in Juarez. Our ***** bars charge about $50-$60 for 1/2 hour, and the massage parlours are even more reasonable offering full service for only $35-$40 an hour in a nice room with a pretty girl who will not upsell you.

As EasyRider will probably tell you, life in the borderland is different from life anywhere else in our country. Latin America sprawls all the way up to our border here and opens her arms to us, and she is beautiful and sexy beyond all imagining. But without the kind of respect and willingness to learn her ways described by EasyRider she can morph into a monster in about one second and ruin your life in an instant. With the right attitude problems are few and far in between and manageable.

The best thing is that sex and love become an after-thought. The only question is, do I want it today?

I will be back in Brownsville in about a month..can't wait.. makes work a whole lot more worthwhile..

easyrider seems to be a seasoned pro.. what is the best way to go about setting up an offsite date at the local Paraiso hotel.. I deal with Victor during all my visits.. I guess what should I expect as my total out of pocket cost for hour

Also, speaking only english, how would I go about getting a lady for multiple hours on her on time?? what should I expect to pay??

Also, if anyone is interested in joining me during my next visit let me know.. it can be more fun when you have someone to talk shop with

Paradise only closed for around an hour. They were back open and kicking in no time.

Adele huh. Can you describe her? If she's the one I know, she only hits town about one weekend every couple of months....

Just got back from Metamoros. Went to Paradise for the first time. Just as I got there and was enjoying a beer before some fun they got shut down. Is that a typical thing? Folks seemed to act that way. Will they be open again soon (Like tomorrow ;-)

Went to Cuerro's instead. Been there a couple of times before, but just being inside Paradise you could tell no comparison. Did get a couple of 5 dance specials. BBBJ but not to complete, more just teasing. Did get one hot gal, I think named Adele, who completely soaked my hand (arm, her bikini bottom.....) as I played with her. Started out bone dry, but by the end of song one seemed to be enjoying it as much as I was. Way more fun and enthusiastic that typical there.

If someone knows, let me know if possible to head back to Pardise tomorrow (this Saturday).

Sorry guys, I was out of town. Transito's are murder. You should always take a cab. Paraiso hotel is just down the street from Paradise, and ask Victor to help you take a chica there. Its well worth it. For only $22 you get a nice clean room, with TV, etc. Room service has great food also.

I'm back... I went back to Paradise last night.. very very slow until about 9:00.. I got a 5-songer from a taller sexxy.. busty brunette...excellent...A++++!!! I do not post details yet.. but will in the future... however with this young lady..all I can say is wow!!

I plan on making one last visit during this trip tomorrow night...

WARNING!!! I left the club about 9:30.. I got red-lighted and pulled over by local police.... he must have been waiting outside the club waiting for someone with US plates to leave.... he spoke no english..but he asked basically where I was from, what I was doing and if I had been drinking. I gave him my drivers license, told him I was in town on business and that I had had 1 beer... I figured he saw me leave the club, so to lie would not be a good thing to do.... I in fact had had only 1 beer in each of the 2 hours I was at the club.... he let me go.. however my heartrate went up.. I will not mess with taxis.. but am concerned about going back.. I would think the local police would not want to scare off the US$ from being spent!

I would to get advice on how to communicate with the ladies for offsite encounters,, prices.. location, etc
