1. Basically, it was me and my buddy talking to a doorway girl, and three hoody guys came out of an 88 Crown Vic, two went in two different rooms and the third guy who spoke English, started spooking us with his large trunk, and a cell phone where all he has to do is make one phone call. Told us with no hesitation that he's selling the password that we need to give, we told him we were negotiating with the girl for tomorrow night, that our friend has all of our money, we barely have cab and bridge fare. He said he's danced that excuse before and needed a payment asap or we were getting thrown in the trunk. I hesitantly gave him a 100 peso bill and he said 'El Hurricane' and told us to enjoy our evening.

After wards, thru bartenders, we found out that guy has no affiliation, just a petty punk kid, and the reality is if Zebras eves dropped on that encounter and saw the whiteness of our scared stupid looks, and the horror stories we would've brought back to the TX side, it would have easily been HIM being thrown in a trunk, not us.

-This doesn't sound promising. He basically threatened to kidnap you.

3. When possible, I like to ask for the following with my limited Spanish, and apparently limited English too: before any BJ commencing, I like to open with the girl at least pretending, climbing in bed beside me, letting me hold them close, rub their hand to my face, undress them, cop a rub of her area down there, once I get some or all of that, then I move forward with phase 2 thru infinity. Not all the time, but there have been occasions where this came to full circle. There was a time a few years ago I requested this thru translation and ended up getting a back massage while sitting up.

- Mexican pfp are not known to cater to "GFE" (girlfriend experience) clients. These girls are all business. I suggest looking into other mongering destinations to fill these needs or consider the higher end options. Your experience is very similar to what other mongers experience in Mexico. However there are exceptions.

4. There's a few decent restaurants and shopping centers a little farther southwest from the main Town Centro. You really need a car to get to that area, and I'm scared to drive in Mexico in the daylight hours out of fear of other drivers. My biggest problem with Reynosa and McAllen is that I don't know any one. All of my contacts are in Laredo. I can go to McAllen from CentralTX, as long as I stop in Laredo on the way. Yeah. Lively yes, occasional Army convoy, yes. Way better than Laredo, at least for that time.

- The dreaded car! I wouldn't have one nor would I rent one. Bummer.

Finding new contacts for McAllen / Reynosa pillaging was the whole purpose I joined this forum. Maybe some day.

We tried to fake a cab ride to a hotel about 2 blocks down the street from BT, but the cabbie wasn't nibbling that ruse one bit and smelled BT from the very start and charged us the full $10 for an 8 block straight lined trip.

The ride back to the bridge from within BT, the cabbie only wanted 40 pesos, I gave him $5 for the helluvit.

2. I've never walked that area, but my mongering buddy from past years told me that's where a lot of cocaine and heroin activity occurs, so unless you're TRYING to get murdered, avoid that pathway all together. I take his word on that.

As for price increase, with the above asked request I can talk them down to 400 pesos total, or 300 if it's a buyer's market. I get that with many of the few remaining girls in Laredo because they know me there, and I've gotten it a few times in Reynosa in the past.

1. Can you please tell use how you were out $10? How were you bribed and for what?

2. What type of activity happens to the right of the REYBT entrance? Please be more specific.

3. Did you ask for any "special needs" requests from the girls. BBBJ cim DATY etc? How did they respond and what if any price increase was there?

4. Can you tell us about your overall impressions of Reynosa itself ? Did it seem like a lively city with good restaurants shopping etc ? I know it is a battle zone at the moment but I was curious to how it compares to NL or other border towns. There seems to be huge differences between each one.

I am a former Reynosa visitor and my group has also gotten smaller. I may consider hitting it up with you guys, but I would like to know more about the extortion as I have been extorted from both the cops and other guys.

I'm a semi-sad case from Central Texas who's mongering posse is slowly diminishing to zero. For the last three years we've been hitting up Boystown in mostly Laredo and occasionally Reynosa, and our last outing went with mixed results. Friday we went to NLBT and found if anything. 8 total doorway girls. This made a 500 mile round trip seem like a waste already. Even though I only had three sessions, we bounced out out of sheer boredom, and THAT is saying alot.

Driving back to our rally point on the TX side, we had the spontaneous idea to try McAllen and see if there was a pulse in Reynosa. It had been about ten months since I was last in ReyBT. But Saturday afternoon, we shot down Hwy 83, parked and walked the bridge, and MAN.

OH MAN. This place was alive. There must've been at least 40 doorway girls. Within 20 minutes of our arrival, comparing ReynosaBT to NLBT was a one sided punching contest. No, we didn't go to Lipstick, we focused on the bars and the doorways. 6 sessions, each ranging from 100-300 pesos, and this was awesome.

Unfotunately, we did have a brief extortion situation, but we're OK, and only out $10, but I'm not going to let that stop me from going again.

Although I could elaborate some other night, I did learn:

-Swap Casa de Cambio dollars to pesos on the McAllen side, unlike NLaredo, Reynosa Cambios close early for some reason.

-Go in a bigger mongering group to avoid the unwanted attention of some punk kid.

-Avoid ALL of the activity in the ReyBT at the right of the front entrance.

So, any other regular mongerers for ReyBT out there?

Police confirm missing man crossed bridge into Mexico.

Authorities have confirmed that a missing Dallas area man crossed into Mexico at an international bridge in Brownsville.

Family members told Action 4 News that they lost contact with 28-year-old Noel Shankle on Friday, February 3rd.

The Carrollton, Texas man flew to Harlingen and was reportedly headed to get dental work done in Matamoros but never returned.

Shankle rented a car at Harlingen's Valley International Airport but neither he nor the car have surfaced.

Harlingen police told Action 4 News that they have confirmed that Shankle crossed into Mexico.

Investigators said Shankle crossed into Mexico at Brownsville's Veterans International Bridge at 11:59 pm on Friday, February 3rd.

It's not clear where Shankle was headed at that hour.

They vary day to day. I found in Reynosa they do not work full-time. In Matamoros, they work full time and I can link you in to somebody that is familiar. Most providers in Matamoros are very good looking. You can choose.

I've spent a lot of time RTFF on both NL and Reynosa. Another member was also kind enough to share with me via pm. The information provided is excellent and well presented. I still however have a question or comment.

I am curious about the texas border towns. NL is a huge port of entry for goods and therefore will not be shutting down anytime soon. I assume life goes on even though the violence continues. Reynosa I assume is also the same way. The demise of BT in NL has brought ladies to the downtown bars for freelance action. The peso is weak to the dollar. All good things more or less for a monger / storm chaser.

If I came down to NL then onto Reynosa for a 2 week trip of mongering eating tex mex massages movies shopping for leather hanging out would I enjoy myself? I do have a very good grasp on spanish. Would I be nuts staying for so long causing un necessary attention upon myself? 12am is usually my bedtime.

I will not have a car. All on foot or local transport. I am cheap when it comes to cabs but will use them under certain circumstances.

I've done quite a few other LA countries but I am curious about border towns in mexico. It would be great to have somewhere closer to hop down to every now and then. I could even extend the trip by going to Acuna and Piedras Negras. Worth it?

My budget after hotel would be $100 a day. Includes chica food and drinks. Bomb or bust?

I also have another trip planned to southern mexico and mazatlan. Better to waste this money on that trip or try both?
