Thinking of heading to Reynosa in 2 weeks. Has anyone been there recently and if so are any girls in the compound. Peso to Dollar is very good for us right now.

Last Friday there were about 4 girls in all. Just head to Monterrey. Hundreds of girls over there, and just 2 1/2 HR bus ride. Well worth it, its no girls in Reynosa due to the violence, lots of young ladies being kidnapped.

This is what I'm talking about, going to Reynosa and bumping into the Cartel. Never ever take your car, never ever walk to boys town or walk around in boys town! That 7-11 is notorious for having Cartel there! Spend the money and always ride with Taxis' and only certain ones. I wish I could give you guys phone numbers of trusted Taxis, but this forum cares more about selling memberships than the safety of fellow hobbiest. [Deleted by Admin]

Hi, the last time I went to Reynosa boys town, one year ago, I had a weird experience. Before I told you my experience, let me told you that I used to go at least one a month to Boys town, and I have never had any bad experience. Well, this is what happened, I arrived to Boys town on a Friday or Saturday about 5:00 or 6:00 pm, there were already some door girls, walked around without any danger inside of it. I had two relations, paid off about $300 pesos for every relation, it was good, the problem was when I went out of Boys town to the 7 up store to buy a coke, once I stepped out there was a pick up truck with 3 or 4 scary guys, who kept looking at me. I was not scared, so I walked to the street to get a taxi, when all of the sudden one guy, who identified as a Gulf cartel lookout, asked me for my identification, he had a radio and he kept on looking toward the 7 up store. I provided my identification to avoid any problems, showed him my passport card, he used the radio, and after some minutes he told me I can go and that the Gulf cartel was there to protect the people. I said okay, even though, I was thinking "yeah right". I speak both languages, so I was able to communicate with this guy and I did not show any fear at all. I took the taxi after some minutes and went back to USA.

I don't know how it is right now, but I have not come back since that experience just in case. If you feel like going just remember that there are lookouts all over the place, and you do not know if besides the radio, they have a gun or any other weapon, and that you are in Mexico. Good luck and happy hunting. It is going to take some time for me to go back to Reynosa, I will rather go to Monterrey by bus, where I have heard everything is more calmed. Take care.

I live in McAllen and go to Reynosa and Matamoros on a regular basis. This is the best advice. Give them no attitude. The last thing you want to happen is a case of mistaken identity. The Cartels are regulated for the most part. If you run into a "wannabe" street group, when the Cartel catches them, they execute them. It does seem that Reynosa is more relaxed.

I really wish I could give info on here to take a safe secure ride in Reynosa, but this forum clamps down pretty hard on giving information out to other hobbiest. I can provide phone numbers of Taxi's that can take you to Boys Town and bring you back for a good price, around $12, small price to pay considering taking your car over and having to wait 3-4 hours on the bridge or having your car vandalized, its just much easier to take a cab. But please don't do not pick a Taxi on your own, as most Taxis can't be trusted, my cabs are 100% safe and low cost, I don't get a dime, just know some good people wanting more passengers. So many beauties right now, its freaking unreal. Don't know how long it could last.
