I got the Telcel one for 230 MXN, which is the Telcel Amigo Sin Limit 200 plan: 3 GB data, unlimited calling & text, 30 days, it's 30 MXN for the Chip and 200 MXN for the plan. It's not written anywhere on the package that they sell you, which got me confused at first, but on the receipt, the name of the plan is written there. You can also go to the official Telcel store in the airport, but I didn't want to go through the process of them getting my passport info. At the 7 eleven, they just sell you the card no questions asked, you put the sim card in your phone and it works (for old phones, you might need help from Telcel employees).

Currency exchange:

There are Many currency exchange shops at the MEX airport, the rate is actually not bad. Somehow the day I arrived the exchange rate was almost market rate, but it wasn't the case the day when I was flying out, but it wasn't bad (it was definitely better than the ones I saw in Zona Rosa tourist area). You have to shop around for the best rate, the worst shops were near the doors where people just exit immigration (near door 8). If you walk a little far to door 6-5-4, you might find better rates. If you exchange just a little, it won't matter. But if you exchange a lot like I did, it adds up. I exchanged a few hundred USD and that ended up being enough for my entire stay, including for girls. If you bring cash, I suggest you exchange at the airport..

Great report. I had no safety issues and after a day or 2, I realized that Polanco was very safe. One thing I love about CDMX, if you stay in a good zone you can pretty much walk everywhere, this another of many things I love about M. City. Definitely my favorite destination moving forward.

From airport to downtown:

I took the metro, yeah I'm raw. Taxi is way easier and not too expensive, but I wanted to be like a local. You'll see big numbers on each of the exit doors. Walk all the way to Door 1 and exit the terminal, turn left and keep walking following the ramp (just follow the people) and you'll get to the metro station "Terminal Aerea" on the yellow line. From there, you can lookup google maps on how to get to your destination. Price: 5 pesos = 25 cents USD. Yes 25 cents to get to downtown. But, you'll have to walk a lot with your luggage, including transferring metro lines and being squeezed in the metro wagons. If you're a guy who likes the local experience, do it, otherwise I strongly recommend taxi. Oh yea, if you arrive during rush hours (7 a-10 a, 6 p-9 p), strongly advise NOT to take the metro. Where to stay:

I stayed in Zona Rosa, it was alright, no complaints. Next time, I think I'd stay around Condesa area, and that's mainly to make it easier for girls to come to you, and also for you to be closer to the love motels that the girls use, which are mainly in the southern part of downtown CDMX. If staying closer to centro Zocalo, maybe some girls won't go there because it's farther and lots of traffic.

Safety:

For the first few days, I was very vigilant, thought to myself I better behave because I'm in cartel land. About 3 days later, I totally forgot about it and this city just felt like any normal city with nice people around. Of course use safety precautions as you would in any country, but I felt safe, there are lots of cops, marines, private security everywhere.

I think it really depends on the girl and your hygiene. Some girls will offer it, some girls will not.
