#1 I can't recommend any hotel in the immediate vicinity but there are plenty within one or two metro stops in the centro historico, one metro stop is "walking distance." SWs will very rarely, never, go to your hotel. hotels.com booking.com etc.

#2 Streetwalker prices throughout the city are pretty standard, regardless of the location or quality of the girl. It is on a cafeteria plan. Somebody previously posted about visiting La Merced in the evening, something I strongly caution against. I leave when the first vendors start to pack up for the evening. There are chineros, named for the llave chino (Chinese choke hold), and you can find videos of even broad daylight attacks. My experience is that if you stick to the Calle San Pedro and Anillo de Circunvalacion in mid-day you are reasonably safe but never invulnerable. Dress down, carry no valuables, only a photocopy of your passport, and carry only (as in a casino) the amount of cash you expect to spend. I have followed girls to hotels north of Calle San Pedro without incident but I do not recommend venturing east of Circunvalacion. The hotel Tampico, just a block off Circunvalacion has a reputation for chineros but the stroll and hotels along Gral. Anaya are seemingly safe on market days. Stick with the crowds.

There are a few gems in La Merced but most in "La Meche" are not even semi-precious. Every first time visitor should visit between 1 and 4 in the afternoon as it is iconic. I was doing some thinking on The Sullivan situation and analyzing my experiences there I have draw this conclusion. I really do think most of the hot girls work without a manager or without being pressured into it by someone. I started thinking about the hotel I went to, the people in it and the driver chic that brought us there. Since I'm pretty good at knowing if someone is telling the truth or not, about having a manager or being independent, I don't think there is a pimp type operation going on there. If you read old news stories there were several crack downs in previous years for forced prostitution and I think they stuck. The girl kept insisting I should ride back with her and I asked why several times, danger etc? Then I think about the 3 hookers that we're eyeing me down in the breeze way and the fact that she was so rushed during the second session which I admit was close to being over during the initial 30 minute agreement. Then I think of the 3 guys sitting in the lobby of the 1 story hotel, one of them appeared to be a linen boy and the other two more like protection. I remember her trying to leave out quick after the session and it looked like she handed some more money to the hotel window clerk as I walked out. I got in the car and her demeanor changed to disappointment. Here's my most educated guess, someone in the business owns all the love hotels in the area and collects a fee based on 30 minute sessions. In turn they provide security and safe transportation to and from said establishment in an attempt to help the girl and the hotel retain clients. The 3 or so hookers are in the breeze way to pickup secondary business in the event the client is looking for some action after. So if the girl can get a double session done in 30 minutes she can keep all the money from the second session. The hotel owners provide a service to both the girl and the client. @Lost111, Thanks for the report, good info in there for my upcoming visit. I have a quick question, does the room cost come out of the money the street girl quotes you? In my experience in Tijuana, the customer pays for the room when you walk in with the girl. Then the girl gets the full amount agreed to on the street. So usually $5 for the room and then the girl gets the full $20 quoted, when using US dollars obviously.

The cost of the room is the girls problem which is why most girls will ask for part of the negotiated fee usually in the lobby before she pays for the room. The least you can give her Of the fee at this point is the best, say 200, so that if she try's to change the agreement when you get to the room you can back out or renegotiate. Also something to add to my report. My experience on Sullivan is that the later at night the better, after 1 am, as the semi pros come out that don't want to be identified by coworkers from their day jobs or family.
