With this equipment I strolled along Calle San Pablo and Eje1 on Sunday noon. A longhaired spinner at the fence on Eje1 smiled and twinkled with her eye. I made a few trips to Sullivan and thought I would share what I learned.

I was able to get there by metro bus, walking from the Reforma station on line 1. Yeah I guess I'm cheap. I also didn't like the idea of a taxi throwing me into the middle of it, by walking I have time to see the surroundings and assess what's going on. I knew Reforma was pretty safe, which is where I start walking from. Walking on the north side of the street going west, I could look ahead a few blocks and if anything looked funny I would turn right and go around using the adjacent street. You'll need to walk 4-5 blocks before you see the ladies on the other side, either cross as soon as you see them or if you continue there is a pedestrian bridge you can take to go across (I don't think there are any ladies past the pedestrian bridge, and visibility gets limited beyond that). It didn't seem that dangerous to me, I steered clear of bus stations where someone could be hiding. There would be a few cops w / sirens I'the pass on the way. One night I even walked back to the bus station rather than buy a taxi (online it says the bus runs until midnight, I caught one Saturday a little after 12:30).

My English is pretty limited, but I did have enough Spanish to negotiate.

Yes the 600-650 includes the taxi (which you don't pay for) and the 200 you pay to the hotel (the rest goes to the girl).

It has been years since I dated one of the Sullivan girls and I couldn't get any to my hotel room even when I stayed on Antonio Caso, which we passed on the way to the crappy rooms accessed from the parking area of the Sybharis Hotel and that weren't actually part of the Sybharis. I did find your concerns about safety in the Merced and I think; 1 You are (at least I am) generally safe daytime in the Merced area but I NEVER go there after sunset. 2. The Zocalo is safe evenings but stay in areas where there are people still out and away from dark corners. I was mugged (choked unconscious ala China llave) about 20 years ago on a deserted street at night near the Zocalo and am more careful now at night. The papers subsequently reported that the same night Don King, the fight promoter, had been robbed in the Zona Rosa.

I know pretty much about sullivan girls. Most of them works at 3 hotel. I stayed 1 of their hotel for a few days. I talked to the hotel manager. He gave me pretty much all the information. I can talk to all the girls working that hotel and pick whatever I want. They don't go to your hotel. They only work their hotel. If you want to know more, send me pm.

Thanks for the report. If you stay 1 of their hotel, you can just pick from the site. You don't have to make a trip to sullivan at all. Also you can use their taxi free. All the girls come to their hotel around 9 to 10 pm and prepare for their work. So girls begin to show up on sullivan from 10 pm. Price is cheap and girls are so cute. Also its not dangerous.

Most of the girls are asking for 600-650 pesos for 30 minutes. For oral they would ask for 100 more "cien mas". Some would negotiate more than others. Negotiate everything before you agree to go. The hotter ones will negotiate less obviously. I wouldn't expect any to go below 600. I wouldn't pass on the lady I prefer if she insisted on 650. Take some gum and share it.
At the hotel you'll need to pay 200 before going to the room. If you're carrying a 500 now is a good time to use that so you have change. I would carry a 500, a 100, and 50, in addition to what is needed for a taxi. .

Thanks buddy, not only for the good report but for dispelling my illusion that I was the only poor / cheap gabacho in Mexico. Doing the math, I assume the 200 for the hotel comes out of her 600? And no fee for the cab to the hotel? 600/650 for desnuda and posiciones? Not bad and the Sullivan girls are generally young and attractive, some of the hotter Merced girls do a night shift there. I have had decent service on Sullivan and poor service too. Never spectacular. My experience is that the girls don't begin to appear until about 11 pm and making the bus on Reforma by 12:30 becomes difficult.

Once you agree they will call their driver and you'll ride with them to their hotel. The drivers seem safe enough, as someone else suggested to me "don't worry you're their customer". At the hotel you'll need to pay 200 before going to the room. If you're carrying a 500 now is a good time to use that so you have change. I would carry a 500, a 100, and 50, in addition to what is needed for a taxi. One night I found a taxi outside the hotel which wanted 70 pesos. Another night the lady's driver gave me a ride back to Insurgentes where I found another taxi (negotiated from 100 to 70 pesos). Another night the hotel called a taxi for me, it was a private suburban and they wanted 130 pesos. On that occasion I walked back to the metro bus. Negotiate with the taxi before you go.

I didn't think the quality was that great, though the price was good. The selection on Tuesday / Wednesday was about half of what was there on a Saturday. Its worth trying a few times, but not enough to justify a trip to Mexico City. I think they're out as late as 3 AM every day, as late as 5 AM on Friday / Saturday.

It looks like Monolos is closed now. Some official-looking posters were taped over the doorway saying "Clausurado", with an explanation citing some laws. The doorway was piled with trash. Maybe they are working on a new name.

Ok there is another area you can try, which you may have read about in this thread.

Avenida James Sullivan. Its very near the US Embassy. You can walk it during day time, but at night you need to find a cool taxi driver. I am sure you can find one eventually that speaks English. There are a lot of street walkers on this avenue. He can drive up and down real slow and pull over to chat with girls. He will also probably know a cheap hourly hotel you can bang them at.

The taxi driver will be key.
