Very nice older hotel 2 blocks from Metro Revolucion and monumento de la revoulcion is the

Oxford. Ok it's past its glory days but it still oozes charm. Huge rooms with a balcony overlooking a small park. There are lots of streetwalkers in the area but not my scene. Only 170 pesos a night last I was there. Quite a safe and pretty area, walking distance to many sites of interest. GF friendly in fact also has short time rooms I believe. One porn channel on the tv with king size beds and large banos with good hot water.

The bar downstairs has tons of charachter with local old guys who bring their guitars in and sing and wg's coming in for a drink-but not actively working as far as I could tell.

I've tried La Merced and have always enjoyed the experience. The search is almost as much fun as the act. Problem is after you search for so long you are hot, sweaty, and tired. Sullivan was good several years ago and I haven't tried it since. I walked it and ended up grabbing a ride with the girl to a motel a couple of blocks away. Not the best experience but that was more related to my choice than the street. I've even been to the theater mentioned here where you can get a BJ. Didn't partake mainly because I just wanted to go in and see if it was true. It is. Nibu Rafael made note of Xola which is south of Pino Suarez metro stop. I saw one or two but not worth the trip.

I'm with Artisttyp in believing that something big has to be there. If you can go to most any city in Mexico and find it why does DF seem to offer so little. With 25 million plus it should be overflowing. That being said, I've always found enough at reasonable prices when I am there. Just not a big bargain or amazing selection like you would think.

My wish is someone would map out a few strip clubs. I've found quite a few but they were all at US prices. I was in the area by the Bella Artise (sp?) around the Sears that is there and found about 5 all within walking distance of each other. That isn't really a touristy spot like Condesa so I was amazed at the $5 beer and $20 lap dances. I know of the Gringo Tax but I can usually bargain my way around some of it. If I saw correctly all patrons were paying those prices.

If you watch when you are in a taxi at a lot of the intersections there are girls standing there and you can tell they are working. I've seen this all over the city, albeit not Polanco. What I'm talking about is if most people are walking and in groups or moving like they have a destination and at a corner there is a girl dressed in a tight short dress and heels at 3pm just standing there. I'm assuming she is working.

For those of us who are too old to monger 24/7 the other activities the city offers are limitless. The museums and exhibits are amazing. You can walk the city just to look at the architecture. The food is spectacular; any type at any price you care to spend.

To sum it all up, if anyone who knows of an area please detail it. Or if anyone has a list of houses I would love to see it as I will be in DF around August.

Please let us know as well. I will try to fish for info while I am here in tijuana. I do run into people here from DF.

Something is going on for sure but it just isn't obvious to gringos *or Mexico city is too large that the average visitor wouldn't run into those areas doing the normal tourist route. That could be it right there. How many gringos do you know REALLY explore Mexico city beyond the zocalo and zona rosa / question mark.

If Lima Peru was not documented by expats living there or the other local forums most visitors wouldn't have a clue about the callao or los olivos area.

As purely a mongering destination I would have to agree that DF is not on. But you also seem to like places such as Guate that I love visiting and mongering but would not go there just for that.

No I'm not absolutely sure if p4p is not available in Tepito, I didn't see it and that's not the kind of place I look for it, neither Merced.

Probably picking up a hooker with a cop around wouldn't be a problem but I wouldn't bother just because why would you want the potential head ache if he decides to attempt a shakedown. As I said corruption knows no limits in Mexico. I have personally seen cops shake down tourists who asked them for directions. Never happened to me but it's the luck of the draw I guess.

Tepito is not know for mongering. It is right downtown I think a couple of subway stops from La Merced. It is a huge market, all the streets are covered with tarps selling the usual shit, tons of smuggled and Chinese stuff and then massive amounts of stolen stuff and dope and guns, etc. I know people who have bought trucks there! They will arrange paperwork and everything for you.

It's not known for pussy. It is not safe at all as you would understand. Daytime is ok there are thousand of regualr citizens looking for cheap shit. I have only walked around because I wanted to have the experience. From your posts and the areas you frequent in Guatemala city and other places I'd say you'd be fine during the day, you're street smart enough.

Have you been to DF? I love it but the p4p scene is hit and miss. A few years ago there were tons of mid range really great massage full service places around. It was great, but I had to put in the legwork and you know spend days just moving around the city. I was lucky I guess as I had some great times, lots of young spinners who I had fantastic sex with. I walked the streets for days and found all kinds of interesting stuff to do. However I was extremely confused when I went to la merced and san pablo. There were police officers standing next to prostitutes that were soliciting me. It really threw me for a loop " Should I or shouldn't I?". I wound up doing the la merced thing at night when less cops were around. Maybe that was not the brightest thing to do.

* Are you 100% certain that tepito has no pfp in or around the market? What is your understanding about picking up girls in front of DF cops? I've been told its a grey area and can go either way.

I am not into the massage thing nor the club thing. Anything that has a middle man annoys me. I like to pay for flesh thats all.

Same as Tepito (thieves market since Aztec times). A coupla years ago there was a huge round-up, a whole block torn down, etc. Now it's back to business as usual. Anything you want can be had there. Anything from hiring a small army of mercenaries, drugs by the ton, anti-aircraft guns, etc.

Mexico is corrupt to the bone and always will be.

Anyways I don't know what the attraction to this place is. There are tons of cheap brothels all over the city offering quickies starting at 100 or 150 pesos in much safer and cleaner enviornments. Check out the classifieds in El Grafico.

It sounds like you live there? I'd love to know what you know. I've always said give me a reason to stay in Mexico city for a month and I will do it. I like the city but the pfp hasnt gone too well for me.

I've heard of tepito for years but nobody has explained it well. I know that it is a neighborhood on the outskirts of Mexico city but then what? Can you get there on the subway and where do you go once you get there? What types of options are available at what prices ?

I've been to MC twice on work and have had a few enjoyable punts there.

Tried two main avenues of punting: in-calls to an erotic massage parlour:

Overall, the Extreme Sports Spa experiences have been far superior, mainly due to the quality of the girls. I've sampled five girls there and they have all been hot, enthusiastic and friendly. All the services are usually covered and they are quite discreet, so you need to inquire about "extras" (otherwise you will only get a massage!). The girls I've been with have all been local. One of them was a gorgeous (albeit flat-chested) 18yr old hottie, a couple of them early-twenty-something university students and a couple of late-twenties full-timers. All of them have been friendly and the service good.

I would advise calling beforehand and getting proper directions, including the apartment number (there are two branches, both of which are units in apartment buildings).
