Last weekend I had a blast in Mexicali. Thanks M. Jack, you're previous reports were very helpful.

I drove and stayed in a nice hotel an took a taxi to bar San D. The cabby didn't know where it was and since my spanish stinks I had him radio for directions.When I got there It was like I was in a candy store. I sat down at a table and began looking around, there wasn't an ugly girl there. I saw one that I liked so when the waitress came back with my drink I asked about her. Of course she said she was very nice and then went and brought her and introduced me to her (which I thought was very nice) Her name I think was Paula, she had long sandy brown hair, nice legs, perky breasts , and a beautiful face. I offered he a beer which she fused so I just laid $10 on the table and asked if she wanted to go Back to the rooms. Spanish really helps as she spoke no english. So once in the rooms I did the expected shower and when I came out I just let her do her thing. Nice strip show, nude lap dance,she was on top, then I was behind,etc, it was great. Never rushed real Gfe. I didn't know how much so I offered $50 and she happily accepted. They called a cab for me. I enjoyed it so much I went back the next night!

I can't imagine a better bar. Mybe Mex. Jack can let us know, is ther a better bar in MxCali?

Good game plan but watch out. Years ago a friend of mine did the same thing as he was without a car at the time. Again, most who go to MXL drive. He crossed and mentioned Bar San Diego in English and the driver started driving West toward San Diego i.e. to TJ!
I have not checked the exact mileage but here goes. Cross POE and follow "Aeropuerto" sign, in other words bear to the left From CLX POE is is about 2 miles to Justo Sierra and another 1.6 or so to Rio Culiacan. Before Rio Cul you will see a school on the right and at night there is a sign with a guy in a business suit just past the school.
Turn right and go .4 or so miles. Directions on BSD site suck but if you want to try them go for it.
Have the bar or waiter Castillo telephone for a cab. The cab should drop you off right next to the border so follow the SENTRI signs. You have a 100 yard walk to border. As to prices watch cabbies just after you cross as any gringo is ripe meat. Ride should cost $5.

I'll sweeten the pot and offer a meal and some drinks south of the border. I recently parked in Calexico, walked across, and was back in the USA in 4 hours after having lunch & attending a function in Mexicali. My ideal trip would be to walk across, go to BSD or similar, do my business and walk back across in the same time. Can this be done? I speak Spanish and look latino. I just need to figure out were to find a safe taxi once I cross and get to and from where I need to go to have my fun. Anybody game?

I will be in Mexicali tomorrow, 09-14-2006 until Sunday 09-18-2006. I will be staying at the Hotel Reforma that is kitty corner to Mau-Mau's. (It's always been chica friendly for me) Cheap and convienant. It's right across from a great Chinese food place. Not too far from the zona, probably considered the centro district.

Look for the Dane. If you are there, let's get together and compare. I usually go down to the zone and find a girlfriend for the time I am there. It would be nice to meet fellow travelers who enjoy the sights.

I am an experienced international monger (see my posts), and I just moved to the El Centro area. I'm looking at going to Mexicali for the first time on a "business trip" in a few weeks. I don't drink, smoke, or party to any great extent...but mongering is my discreet pleasure. I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes in Mexicali, so I can feel comfortable about going on my own. Anyone game for being a tour guide?

LOL, I must have REALLY looked stupid! I just sat down and looked around, she must have felt very sorry for me. And to think I said she liked to touch and linger... what a ma-roon. It reminds me of the old joke bout the drunk at the party that only remembered the brass toilet seat.

First off Mexicali is a large city. Almost one million now. Secondly Mexicali is much different than Tijuana. Mexicali has many super places to monger, but unlike Tijuana they are not in one central area. If you read the forum you will find out that they are in all all areas of the city.

I recommend that on your first trip you do not drive if you want to hit Bar San Diego, El Establo, and Excalibur. They are a little difficult to get to if you dont know the city well. The city has and is undergoing a major change to its streets. Many overpasses on the freeways has and is being performed. Therefore get a Taxi. They will gldly take you to any of these places for $5. You need to get a good map to learn the city. I cant remember the insurance place where I got an excellent map a couple of years ago but it was one on the left side of the road in Calexico on the road that leads to the border crossing to Mexicali.

I love mexicali and love the city for more than mongering. If you like Chinese food it has the best. this is because the Chinese were used to build canals in the early 1900"s and they stayed in Mexicali.

Mexicali has a Centro area as does Tijuana but it really does not have the calibur of clubs as Tijuana. Mostly ficha bars and high end titty bars. However there are alot of ficha bars in Centro and if you like to dance it only takes a few cervezas and dances and you can take a lady to the local hotel like Kennedy and have your brains screwed out for $40 to $50. There are a few bars that Mexicali Jack likes in Centro where you can go to which are not ficha bars. All you have to do is ask the ladys to dance and buy them a few cervezas and bingo like before off to Kennedy for a fun time $40 to $50. The bar is Gallo Gira.

I am thinking about taking a road trip to Mexicali Labor day and was wondering about any advice.

Have some experience with the night life and hussle in TJ but no experience anywhere South of the border mongering.

I have much experience mongering all over the US but I know Mexico is different.

Wondering if anyone has any advice on things like...

Should I park in US or take my vehicle down.

Should I sleep in US hotel, Mexico Hotel or vehicle.

The exchange rate is the same in all of mexico ? (internet says 1 US = 10.1 Peso atm)

Going rate is 25-60 for street girls and 60-100 for club girls plus tip if they do the trick?

Basically trying to get a feel for how much cash, besides gas, I should plan to bring for Sat day+night and Sun day+night.

Any advice would help here, pms are kewl. I post on other forums as same handle if you want to get a feel for my character.

If I really enjoy this it may become a regular thing.

Plus if anyone comes to Los Angeles I will gladly return the favor.

Ed... There are no waitresses at BSD. The more experienced workers will work the crowd especially new gringos. No harassment like grabbing your privates but the pros may stop by shake hands or sitting down with you. They are not there for drinks or fichas. She was being polite for some business. Girls serve the customers when the waiters are not there.

The taxi driver was indeed very lost. It took him a looong time to come to (find)the restaurant, and he was very frustrated and I suppose embarrassed by not finding the place. I felt bad for him, really. No harm done.

Castillo may not have been there at BSD. That would have worked fine, next time I'll ask if necessary.
There was a waitress only as I saw, she didn't speak English but did like to touch as she talked and would hesitate a moment to linger and drag a finger on me as she walked away!

Most times I won't hesitate to approach, but sometimes I believe they may not be as willing as I like if they can't even glance a tiny moment my way. Even back when Chicago Club in TJ had the most aloof hotties on the wall, the 'more' interested ones would at least occasionally make eye contact. Still, I'll never forget the time I was 'recovering' but still couldn't quit staring at this cutie in a plaid school girl outfit, white blouse lol. The third time she looked in a half hour, and I didn't get up, she flashed a dagger and left the building in a huff. So, I know better, I just can't seem to do better. When there seems such an excess of choices I seem to just sit.

Hey Ed....sounds like you did alright. But I can tell you that every taxi driver in Mexicali knows where BSD is. He probably had a call to pick someone up in El Centro, so took you there.

Next time you are in BSD just tell Castillo (the waiter) who you want to talk to and he will arrange eferything. He speaks perfect English.

The girls in BSD don't mollest you because they don't make any commission(ficha) on you buying them drinks. Like you said, they sit around in groups and talk amongst one another and are generally aloof with the customers because they know that most cusomers go to BSD because the girls don't molest us; The girls are there to fuck and that is the only reason that they are there. Castillo is extremely helpful.

Next time you go, hopefully I will be in town and I can be a guide for you. Because there is much to see in Mexicali. It is my favorite candy store!

I eventually did make it by on a very hot Friday late afternoon. I had to pick some stuff up ar Kragen's near the border and after asking where to park was invited to park around the side in the lot. It may not be the best plan next time, but no problem on this day.

I walked on the west side of the street, eventually hitting the signs of no admittance in Spanish on the edge of the vehicle entry point. I had missed the pedestrian walkway altogether and entered Mexico w/o even so much as a turnstyle. "It may not be the best plan next time, but no problem on this day."

I was greeted by a taxi driver(AC!), and though I would have liked to tour around a bit on foot, it was 104 and the sun was shining on Mount Baldy. I rode to Los Arcos, nice enough place, but was served some nasty dried out bacon wrapped shrimp. I had not encountered anyone speaking English, (only one on the visit) , so perhaps I had ordered the day old micro-wave variety.
I was polite as always, WTF. I tipped the waiter well, requested a cab, then waited more than twenty minutes for same. The sun was still up, so I'm pretty sure I didnt just miss him.

Shortly after I stepped into the Mexicali sunshine on a beautiful August day, another Gent came out and waited for his cab. He was a local, the only person to speak to me in English. After ten minutes, he explained to me that I must not have called a cab, and that the cab coming was his. I wasnt going to go in and check with the waiter, but I advised him it was indeed my cab. He then said mine had left already, I must have missed it. Polite as always, I looked ahead down the road after doing what our moma's have taught us, - 'if you cant say anything nice....etc", after taking just a bit longer than usual peak at him.

The taxi arrives, no ac , and off we go. I suggest bar San Diego. I bit down the road, he asks me if I'm from El Centro, or, so I think. Later, I though he may have asked if it was my first time in the city. After this young man drives around, nearly hitting EVERTHING IN SIGHT, for fifteen minutes, circling the area of Playboy Club and 16 de sptiembre, I realize he must have asked me if BSD is IN CENTRO. Oops, he's lost and I helped.

He clobbers me with a backhand slap after I ask a bystander where BSD might be!! lol. I laugh and he almost smiles. (by the way, in my former line of work and current hobbies, that could get a guy hurt real bad, real quick)
I finally got out near a hotel with a suitable bad time twirling her hair in the hallway. He's surprised to get ten bucks and a have a nice day. I'm happy to see booze and play in my future at last.

I paid 25 for her (the 30ish thin, long dark haired babe in white I can't pass) and another five ,I believe, for her room. The shower was hardly worth it, the bj and sex was pretty darn good, and off I walked. It was good to not have to insist on removing all clothes or negotiate services, and good to get another offer before getting out of the hallway! Not happening, however, on this day.

I went into Playboy Club, my cup of tea wasn't there, so, I had a beer. I had several more in different dives before being intoxicated enough to try another taxi.

I flag him down and hop in. We roll up the windows and he turns on the AC. Let's get lost for a while, I hope. Even Better, he knows where BSD is.

As we pull in to the lot, jeeesh, a 30ish CURLY dark haired beauty dressed in white. Sha-wing! I ordered a couple of chilto(sp) girl sized beers, and sat around like a dumbass for thirty minutes. She would pop in and out with others, the girls where having a meal, but never sit long or without a group. Now I'm not shy, or stupid, but I do struggle in a strange setting without being able to comunicate outside of taking her hand and heading off to the room. Which I didn't manage to do.

I unfortunately didnt know where the room was, and was further intimidated(uh-huh) by the aloofness of especially her, but nearly all of the girls. I realize this is common, but it is still problematic for me to get up, walk across the very quite room, and hope for more than just goofyness. It didnt help that I could see many dudes sitting alone, and no one dragging anyone by the hair to make whoopie. Then I started to review my day, and thought another steamy room after the drinking would most likely send me napping in the steets.

I came out of the restroom for the third time, looser, and saw a pretty thing sitting off to the side. After I moved my beer and sat down, she was quite willing to suffer thru dialouge with the illiterate old guy. I got the virtual tour and house plan, and the name of the cutie I had seen. She was very accomadating and relaxed, refused a drink and seemed to like to help without obligation. Not the slightest pushy and didnt even ask me if I wanted to get naked. Those traights have to be all good in the room , and she was.

The room was great, clean with the AC on. Shit, what was I waiting for. Lillliana (i think) was very friendly, kisses, willing to switch postions several times, everything carefully covered. I like them a tiny bit thinner and a we bit more 'Whoey' (WTF kind of word is that!), but we fopped and slopped till the knock and then just enough more. Damn good time. 50 plus 20 I believe, I gave her another ten as she waited with me for the cab, which came quickly with AC and knew the way to the border. Cool.

Hotel Colonia sounds good, and, being close to Los Arcos is great. I can always flop wherever the wind blows if necessary.
I'm defineatly walking across, and taking a taxi about. I don't speak Spanish so having a few destinations in mind should be a good start.


I'm coming this Thursday, Jose, thanks for the offer. My only concern is not being able to meet up at a certain time and being an inconvenience to you. If your haven't plans I'd love to get together! It'd be my pleasure to have a guest at dinner or whatever.

To get to Bar Excalibur, take Justo Sierra south. Veer to the left after the first statue. This is Benito Juarez. Keep going south. After the glorieta at Lazero Cardenes, you will pass Giau Giau and Harrahs on the right. Go all around the glorieta at the statue of Sanchez Taboada and go back north on Benito Juarez. This glorieta is where Benito Juarez and Lopez Mateos come xtogether. Bar Excalibur will be on your right next to the Mercado de Pasteles.

The chicas start arriving at 7 pm. The better ones arrive between 8 and 11 pm. Hope to see you there sometime.
