first off, thanks to all that fed me with information: big john. 2nd chance, chica luv, tempe jon, gallo ingles, mexicali jack, and plus the shove to go by artisttyp. from san diego to the aa parking lot took less than 2 hours. if you drive it, beware, the chp had three speed traps set up, all in the mountains. but the speed limit was 70 for most of the way; so no worries. aa parking was $3 for 24 hours.

the dick in uniform: i was walking to the border with two bags; computer backpack and small bag with clothes and adult beverages (for the hotel). the us border patrol was conducting random vehicle inspections, so the line was backed up for blocks to get across. this dick walked across two lanes and stopped me and asked for i'd, which i provided my sentri card nicely. then we played the 20 questions game; which he won. then he had me drop my bags on the dirt and open them so he could conduct an inspection; even had me open my shaving kit. at that point i was pissed and asked him if they inspected the bags in every car that they let through; received no answer.

the hotel: stayed at the del norte; it cost $45. at first they had me in a room on the second floor next to the lobby stairs and on the street side. i asked the guy that showed me to the room if there was another room that would be less noisy. he checked and upgraded me to a junior suite and at the same price; well done del norte. the hotel had wi-fi in all the rooms, and computers available in case you needed to use them. you can throw a rock from the hotel to the border crossing, so it is easy to get to as well.

fuck the map: i had a couple of maps (2nd chance's) printed out so i could get my bearings straight when i started out. but on my way out the hotel, i thought i would look silly walking around with a map, thus, i tried to remember the names of the streets that the bars were located. so the only gringo in town heads out of the hotel knowing exactly where he's going; didn't work out. i did this series of turns that i thought would put me right on the street that el gato negro was located; instead i ended up back at my hotel!

i passed a sign for la casnoa on my way, so i went back there because at least i knew where it was. i circled the block trying to figure out how to get into this place; my navigation skills went to shit since i retired from the navy. got into the place at around 4:30. about 5 girls, one of them dancing on the "t" stage. i was equipped with a pocket full of one dollar bills, and whipped out my first one, and touching was allowed; i knew it would be a good night.

hailed a cab because of my last navigation mishap and headed for el gato negro. there was 15 to 20 women in the place; mostly chunky in nature. some were lined up in chairs, kind of like tropical club in tijuana. the club has a limited bar selection; so i just got a shot of tequila and a bottle of water. did not partake in the dance action. headed out looking for playboy and sports bar.

found both without difficulty. stopped in sports bar first. place had 5 women, two of them in fishnet outfits dancing on the bar. i was told by the bartender that i could be with one of the girls for 500p, plus the hotel cost; wasn't really interested in the selection. they did have the best price on a screwdriver; 30p. headed to playboy.

playboy was packed and had around 15 to 20 women. one seat was available at the bar and i got a drink and watched the dancer on stage. a little hottie came up and started chatting with me, little did she know that i only understood 2-3 words of her introduction. she was too hot to let go so i bought her a drink and with the help of one of the english speaking servers; negotiations started. she came out with 1300p for 45 minutes, and my reply was, wtf? she came down to 1200p, and i said no thank you; but she was hot!

i walked the zigzag that i remembered from the map. there were street girls available, they were mostly hanging out in front of the hotels. at hotel 16 de septiembre, there was a half a dozen girls, and they ganged up on me every time i walked by, a few cuties, and a few not. hotel paris had around 4-5 girls. hotel nuevo pacifico had a few girls hanging out as well. i also noticed several ladyboys on the streets.

grabbed a taxi and off to el establo to take care of business. cab dropped me off and i walked in; just the bartender and i were in the place. it was around 6:30 and i guess they open later; damn the bad luck. hailed a cab from that busy road and headed to el guau guau. more bad luck, they were not open either. the cabbie and i were sitting in the parking lot while i was contemplating my next dumb move, i could see some of the girls that were headed in the club to work, and they looked hot.

headed back to sports bar. sat at the bar and decided to drown my sorrows with screwdrivers. then this real cutie with short shorts came out of the bathroom and came over to say hello. she stood between me and a local that appeared "three sheets to the wind." the cutie and i decided we would butcher each other's language for a while. i got her a drink and then we did a couple of tequila shots; i liked her! then the guy next to her grabbed her arm and started talking to her. then he voice got louder and the only word that i could make out was "gringo." yep, time for me to go before things turned sour. but my luck changed, he got up and left. i was ready for hotel time, but as luck would have it, the cutie told me she doesn't do that sort of thing; damn it already!

i went looking for la taberna, not an easy place to find (as least for me anyway). when a little help from a local, i found the place. there was a chinese restaurant before the club, stopped and got some noodles to get something in my stomach besides alcohol. have to admit, i never ate noodles in broth with a fork before. went to la taberna. the place is a smaller version of las pulgas in tijuana. separate rooms with different venues, nice place, but i was there early and the place was about empty.

hacking helen: i'm standing on one of the corners trying to plan my next brilliant move. these two girls crossed the street, and the cute one stops next to me and rattled off some spanish, and i gave her the "deer in the headlights" look. then she stepped in front of me and said "hotel." we discuss prices and time, and it turned out to be 300p for 30 minutes; let's go! we went to the luxurious hotel posada and i think the price was 50p. turns out that helen had one hell of a cough. at one point, i thought she would cough up a lung. so during the blow job, she had to take a break every now and then. here is the good part, we were fucking in the spoon position (because i wanted to keep the cough facing away from me) , when she did start hacking, her pussy squeezed tight for each cough; i was done within minutes!

i figured it was late enough, time for some strip clubs. started out with kaoz. there were around 10 girls, which included the chunky one on stage. there were a couple of hotties, few cuties, and the others were okay. headed over to porky's. the place was as dead as a doorknob! i counted 4 women, one biggie dancing, one with a customer, another in a booth playing with her phone, and the last one just appeared briefly. next up was la mosca 2. nice place with about 10 girls and about the same mix as kaoz.

last stop in the area was el miau miau. i really liked this place. there were around 12-14 women and the dancers were hot; i just sat at the stage and drooled. this fine girl sat next to me and we did some limited chit chatting. a private dance was $20, blowjob was $80, and all out sex was $120. thank goodness i got off with hacking helen, or i would have took this gal on for sure. then she asked for a drink, and i asked her how much they were, and she told me $10; hacking helen saved me some big bucks!

time to call it a night; nah. decided to check out la casnoa one more time because it was next to the hotel anyway (great excuse). good decision, the place had 25-30 girls and was quite busy. i plopped down at the stage and enjoyed life. a good portion of the girls were hotties, the rest were cuties, and i did not see any trolls. the place is pretty big and the stage is high, which explains why my neck hurts.

not sure what time i got back to the room, but for some reason i woke up at 9am. i thought about what i would do all day while waiting for the clubs to get in full gear. i figured i saw enough so i heaved in the anchor and headed back to san diego.

thoughts on mexicali. i liked the place. even though i don't speak spanish, i felt comfortable walking around the city, as well as jumping in and out of cabs. all of the people that i met, including the taxi drivers seemed like nice folks.

Planning on heading out to Mexicali this weekend on the hunt for a nice lady.

I'm pretty much a damn regular at La Mosca haha and last time I went, I got a privado with a fine looking blonde girl. Privado was really good and she wasn't stuck up or anything so I might just take the plunge and get FS with her. Prices can vary here depending on the girls I suppose since I've gotten different prices but the room has a standard price of 200-300p depending on the value of dollar. Last time I payed 1200p. Room is adequately sized and well lit with a red bulb. Big bed style couch which is a plus over the other strip clubs I've been too.

If she's not there, I'll probably hit up Miau Miau, since there's a good couple of girls in there who are 7-8's in my opinion. I'm horrible with names so I can't really report on the women I've had sex with before at that place. Prices are fairly reasonable at 1300p there and if you get the right girl, you don't get rushed much.

On my map, I've only listed one Chinese Restaurant. Only because it was the first one that I received a recommendation from.

My last trip to Mexicali was about a year ago at which time the Guau Guau was great. Some fine looking ladies to be had there, but I imagine the prices are a bit higher than at some of the other locales. I enjoyed El Establo too.

Let me make a recommendation for Chinese food: Chiang's China Bistro. The food and service are indeed excellent. You can google it as they have a web page.

On my map, I've only listed one Chinese Restaurant. Only because it was the first one that I received a recommendation from. Like Joe Arturo said, there are a TONS of Chinese restaurants. Even the "so called" take out restaurants are pretty good.

As for the different clubs. Everyone has different needs and tastes. You're going to be there a couple of days. Try them all! Most clubs open in the afternoon. All the clubs get really hopping when the sun goes down.

I haven't been to Giau Giau in a long long time. It used to be worth the stop. Another good place on the way to El Establo is La Cabana, which is on the North side of Lazero Cardenas across the street from a restaurant named Los Arbolitos.

La Mosca 1 is a good stop before or after Bar San Diego as well as El Nido which is next door to La Mosca.

There are over 400 Chinese restaurants in Mexicali and I haven't been to a bad one yet.

And as far as "La Zona" goes, the entire city of Mexicali is La Zona. Just about every little bar has one or more gals working in it. Sometimes you can find a real winner in some of the hole in the wall bars. It just depends on your luck.

I enjoy reading your posts on the Tijuana boards. I have spent a great deal of time in Tijuana also. And my favorite spot is Chicago Club. Less of a meat fest and the girls are much more friendlier there than Hong Kong or Adelitas. It really reminds me a lot of some of the places in Mexicali. YMMV!

Let me know if you have any more questions. I am always happy to answer. I am kind of retired from mongering right now as I am in a pretty good relationship with a gal in Mexicali. She keeps me happy and fulfills all of my needs for the time being. And is not really that interested in money.

Headed southeast for a couple of days to Mexicali on March 11, 12, and returning on the 13th. I've done a lot of reading and received great information through PMs. But still have a few questions:

La Chinesca now charges $20.75USD or 250P a night with a 50 peso key deposit. (get a room on the left side to avoid the loud music from the El Rancho Grande club next door)

The only hotel that I have ever spent the night there is a really nice 5 star hotel called the Lucerna. It is well over your $40 rate though. It runs about $90 a night. It is probably the best, most decadent hotel in Mexicali, truly a 5 star hotel but you do pay for that and it is not near any of the action. When I stayed there, I was in Mexicali for other reasons. It is not real friendly towards mongering so if you go there you would have to be very discreet.

I have heard very good reports from other people on the board about a hotel called La Chinesca that is like maybe 2 blocks away from the zona. It is chica friendly. I did walk by it and even went inside of a room in it with a friend of mine. It looked very nice. From what I understand it is under $40 a night. I have heard that Hotel Del Norte is good too. I have only seen it from the outside.

Mexicali is a great place for other things too. I know there is a Sears, Best Buy, and even a Wal Mart / Sams Club down there. There is a mall down there that has the Best Buy in it with a bunch of other stores. I honestly do not remember where it is as I was taken there by another driver. You can find almost anything under the sun to buy there. I like it better than some of the other border towns because it is more modern. You do not see all of those open air shops with vendors that flag you down and try to sell you stuff like you do in Nogales and Los Algodones. They have regular store fronts like any American city. I have been told the reason why Mexicali is more modern and clean looking is that it is the capitol of the Mexican state of Baja California. For this reason they tend to spend a little bit more money in the place to keep the roads looking nice and etc.

If you like Chinese food there are a multitude of Chinese restaurants. Some of them are very good. I know it is strange to find Chinese food in Mexico but Mexicali has a very large Chinese population. It goes back to the early days of the city when they were brought in to do work down there. Also, if you ever need any medical procedures done that are not covered by your insurance like maybe plastic surgery, bariatric surgery, cosmetic dentistry etc you can find world class medical providers that will do it for about a third of the cost in the United States. You can also find very cheap medications down there. I think almost everyone on this board has been to there pharmacies for Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis. LOL. I personally had some major surgery down there and had a very good experience.

The only problem with Mexicali is that it is not really a touristy place so there are not a lot of people that speak English like you find in Nogales, Los Algodones or Tijuana. If you are like me and do not speak any Spanish it is tougher to get around. I bring along talking translators on my Android phone to help me with that issue.

There are a lot of free lancers down there in the zona. In fact that was one thing that surprised me about how most of the SW's were like women that were trying to take care of there children and earn some money. In Phoenix where I live the SW's are all tweakers and crackheads that are trying to pay for the next hit. I personally do not like the street scene in Phoenix or other American cities because I do not like to have sex in vehicles. Too crammed. American cities do not have the hourly hotels like they do down there. You do have to be careful about trannys though. There seem to be a LOT of trannys in the zona and some of those trannys are so feminine looking it is scary! Look really careful at who you pick up because on some of them it is hard to tell. You can avoid that issue by going to the strip clubs and bars that have women. Obviously the owners of those places do not allow trannys to work there.
