Thanks Latin Bound. I had a similar thought as I planned out this weekend. Yours is nice and specific. I plan on going to Mexicali tomorrow, coming from Phoenix metro, arriving early afternoon. Not optimal, but best overall. The one place I have frequented is the Playboy Cafe and will return, with possible detours first. Will visit LOS Algodones Saturday. You posted in the Algodones post so Ill answer both in one. Depends on your hours. You can go to Algodones and leave before the border closes. You can drive to Mexicali (about an hour and change), and it will be early enough for an overnight stay. If you do that, my route would be after crossing the border, walk by 16 de Septiembre hotel for a SW. Depending of your skills, 200 to 400 pesos would give you a ST. Then, walk to Playboy's. Another few bars and hotels on the way. You can stop in all, but I would go to Playboy first. Then, if you still looking for high end, you can always do Miau, Miau. Afterwards, a room in Chinesca for the overnight stay. SW's in the area might foot the bill. If not, cross you can always cross the border. Is 24 hours.

Frankly, I would avoid a mid-day romp in Mexicali. What is available at mid-day is 1/100th of what is available after 9 pm.

If I had to romp in the mid-day, I'd take my chances at Cleopatra. Did that once and got an okay looking lady, but who worked hard and was friendly.

But I repeat, looking for fun mid-day is a huge waste of time. There is a time and a place for everything and mid-day in Mexicali isn't it. For mid-day fun, you're better off making a 2 hour drive to Tijuana and a 2 hour drive back.

Hmmm. Maybe I just had beginners luck in Algodones. Went mid day on a Saturday to Hawaii Club a few weeks ago. Had a good luck, with a lot of options there to choose from. The girl I was with came over from Tijuana. Only works Fri / Sat. I just figured Mexicali had more to offer than Algodones. And it's one hour closer for me.

Frankly, I would avoid a mid-day romp in Mexicali. What is available at mid-day is 1/100th of what is available after 9 pm.

If I had to romp in the mid-day, I'd take my chances at Cleopatra. Did that once and got an okay looking lady, but who worked hard and was friendly.

Just wanted to correct one item in the report that got auto-corrected wrong, for the directions to Cleopatra, it should read: Head east on Av Francisco I Madero, past Calle "C" and it will be on your right.
