The Hotel Across The Street From Miau Miau Is Clean And Safe...it Is Often Used By The Girls At The Clubs Across The Street For Dates But I Know A Couple Of Guys Who Have Stayed The Night. Rooms Are Clean. I Would Compare To A Motel 6 In Quality. It Is About 6-8 Block Walk Or A Very Short Taxi Ride From The Poe.

Any recomendations for Mexicali hotels in the $30-$50 range within walking distance of the POE? I'm looking ideally for clean, quiet, secure & chica friendly.

La Mentirosa is in a little plaza just South of the statue of Benito Juarez. If you take Justo Sierra south, veer to the left at the statue of Benito Juarez. This is where Justo Sierra changes into Benito Juarez. There is a little plaza on the left (East) side of the street that has a little HSBC bank, a restaurant named Sushi Villa Fontana, a club named Chabelas de la Justo, a club named Cimaron (which has Norteno music) and La Mentirosa.

The rock group is there every Friday and Saturday night starting about 10 pm. Parking is hell, but if you get there early it is a lot easier.

Hey Joe, I read your last post (homerun..attaboy!!) and noted you mentioned La Mentirosa...I like 20-30 year old non pros and rock music, so is that a good place to hang out while not mongering? Is that the place cat-a-corner from the old Forum at the intersection of Reforma and Justo Sierra? If so then I have stuck my head in there a couple of times but I havent ever stayed long enough to have a drink and get to know anyone...I do know that if that is the place that taco stand right next door to it is one of my favorite in Mexicali!

There are 3 or 4 that are within 3 blocks of the border crossing site and are ok. Only a 5 minute walk. They are not your 3 or 4 star motels. They are small but clean. I have stayed at Don Juan which I believe I paid $40 per night. It is on 4th street. The other is the Border motel and I believe I paid $45. It is also on 4th street and better than Don Juan. There are a couple more on 4th street also but have never stayed in them. I believe if it is your first time to Mexicali this may be your best bet. There are some good hotels in Mexicali also that are not so expensive. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me or RTF as Joe Aurturo and Mexicali Jack are excellent for any questions you may have.

This just goes to show that there are good people out there. My suggestion is for both of you to keep a distance and for you not to spend too much money, buy her a house in her name, buy her a car, etc., etc. etc. The pending issue is - you could be giving up your hobby. I think relationships always fall back to family values so it might be time for a short visit to her family (without being too outgoing).

I arrived in Mexicali Wednesday afternoon and was planning to leave on Friday morning. A good friend of mine, Leonardo called me and asked if I wanted to join him Friday afternoon to watch the Mexico vs Cuba soccer game. I said yes but if I was going to stay in Mexicali Friday night that I wanted to watch the game somewhere close to La Mentirosa. La Mentirosa is a night club where the twenty and thirty year old crowd hangs out. I will turn 60 in July, so I normally don't fit in in these places, but on Friday and Saturday nights, there is a great group called "Los Signos" that plays Rock en Espanol, which is my favorite type of music. I had not been to see the group in quite a while and told my friend Leonardo that I wanted to go there after the soccer game. We agreed to meet at "Chabelas de La Justo" which is in the same plaza as La Mentirosa at 5 PM, as the game started at 6 and at 5 we could get parking spaces and have a table in Chabelas to watch the game.

I arrived at 5, parked my car and entered Chabelas and noticed that Leonardo had not arrived yet. I also noticed that Rosalba/Melisa/Natalie was there with two other gals and a guy. I gave her a wave, she waved back and I went outside to wait for Leonardo. In 2 or 3 minutes, she was outside with me to chat.

She is in her 30s and retired from the puta business a year ago when she graduated from the university here in Mexicali. She has a 14 year old son and a 10 year old daughter and is a 6 or 7 in looks. Thanks guys for all the good info that has prepared me for my upcoming trip to Mexicali. I have read the post going back 2 years and I would be thankful if someone could answer 2 questions that I have not seen covered before.

1. Once I cross the POE, if I ask the taxi driver to take me to La Zona, will he know what I am talking about? That is, La Zona being the area where Hotel Kennedy is located along with Playboy and other clubs. I understand I can walk from POE to La Zona, but I prefer to take a taxi when I arrive my first time at night.

2. On the Calexico side, near the POE, is there any hotels I can stay at and walk from the hotel to POE?

I went down to Mexicali for a three-day weekend over Memorial Day. I got AAA insurance, which is excellent and has reasonable prices. It is offered by a Mexican subsidiary of General Electric Corporation. You can get it on-line; so, you have no delays at the border buying insurance.

i checked in to the hotel colonial. it was $2,900 pesos for three nights, two persons (my imaginary wife maria); for the most expensive, pool side, ground floor, executive room. (rooms 300 – 318 are the nice ones.)

there was a nice lawn and pool right outside the room, but very little pool noise. it is a nice, older family hotel and completely safe. i recommend this hotel for our hobby as you can drive right up to your room without going through a lobby.

it is especially rewarding bringing in a young beautiful chica and banging her brains out, while some married guy in the next room with a wife, and kids asleep, is getting the old “not tonight, dear, i have a headache and the kids might hear” speech.

there is a nice, tall, green hedge fronting rooms, which helped hide the chicas that i kept bringing to my room. i brought chicas in with me in my car and also had taxis deliver chicas to the front of the hotel in broad daylight. the chica would just call my room on her cell phone and i would walk across the lawn and bring her to my room – never a hassle. be prepared to pay for the taxi.

also, you can walk to the sanborn’s restaurant on the corner in two minutes if you don’t feel like driving somewhere.

friday night:
around 7:30, i dropped in to “el gato negro” to see if karla was in. she wasn’t, but the bar maid told me karla would be there later.

aving never been to Bar San Diego, I headed east. (Joe Arturo’s directions were great – thank you!) It must have been around 7:30 - 8:00 PM and dark, when I pulled into the parking lot out back and parked. I was greeted warmly, one by one, by about five or six lovely ladies who were loitering outside on the grounds. All of them were quite “doable” but, being in no hurry, I decided to try my luck inside. I am fluent in Spanish, enjoy flirting and negotiating; so, was ready for the evening.

Inside there were about eight Mexican businessmen drinking at the bar and nearby booths. Eight or ten girls were clustered in the booths/tables near the entrance and dressing room. Again, most were quite “doable” and several were stunning. I sat down and introduced myself to slender dark haired girl named Camila. (This is not a ficha bar so do not buy yourself or her drink, unless you feel like it.)

We talked a few minutes and she quoted me a price of $50 USD + $20 USD = $70 for one-half hour. (This is the standard price and package for the girls inside the bar and the money is to be paid upfront to the bar man.) I tried to talk her down but no chance.

Also, I asked her how much an hour and a half would be. She said $150 USD plus $20 for each half hour period for the room; total $210. I haggled and joked around a couple of more minutes, but she was firm. So, I thanked her, told her I would think about it, and stepped out into the fresh, almost cool, night.

I started talking to a couple of Mexican businessmen, who having just finished with some chicas, were sitting in shinny, new, Ford pickup truck getting ready to leave. We talked for about 15 -20 minutes and they were very knowledgeable about the local chica scene. The girls in the parking lot kept looking over at me, as if they were impatient. I was in no hurry; when time is on my side I always win.

As the pickup left, I saw a cute, tall, slender, dark skinned, dark haired, gal named “Norma” leaning against a car. She was not stripper quality, but very attractive and probably in her early 30’s. She was a “6 - 7”. Some Mexican grandpa came along, she moved, he got in the car and drove away. She looked at me and said “Well, I guess I’m done polishing that car.”

She first quoted me the same 30 minute deal as the girl in the bar. Then, when I asked for and hour and one-half, she quoted me $150 USD + $20 room; total $170 for 90 minutes. I asked her what services she would provide me and she said “most everything except anal.” I said good, but that I was tired from my trip and asked her if she was nurturing and knew how to give a massage to occupy all that time. She said no problem we will find something to do to make you happy.

We kidded around, haggled good naturedly and finally arrived at $100 USD + $20 room; total $120 for 90 minutes. I gave her all the money up front and she had one of the maids show me to our room. She went to the reception desk of the motel and paid for the room.

(You see, as was later explained to me by several girls; there are really two separate businesses operating on this site. The north half of the motel is for the “Bar San Diego girls” and they generally only work out of the bar and in those northern rooms. There bosses are in the bar.

The “Motel Las Dunas girls” hang in the south half of the parking lot and generally deal only with the motel management at the hotel reception desk. Of course, like everything in Mexico, this distinction gets blurred a little as some girls “cross the imaginary line” occasionally. The fee structure can be different between the two operations.)

I undressed, turned the wall air conditioner on full blast and it got comfortable fairly quickly. When Norma came in we showered up together and I discovered she was skinny, had no more than B cups, and a nice hard body.
