From what I've heard TJ has gotten pretty bad in terms of crossing the border (eg. 2 hours walking). Is it any better going to Mexicali?

Jack and Rico thanks for the reports. I have been working mega hours the last 3 months and now will have some time off. I have not been to Mexicali since June. I plan to do a few bars I have not been to yet but saw the last time I was in Mexicali. There was one just east of El Establo about a 1/2 mile east of the Coca Cola plant. I plan to go next Tuesday and Wednesday. I will give my updates.

I haven’t been to the strip clubs in awhile so this past weekend me and a couple of friends decided to check out the scene.
The club with the best girls: Fido's, next to the original Mosca but I don't like the atmosphere too much...cold and at some tables your back is exposed to a lot of empty space, I don't like that feeling.
New club on the scene: Moscas's #3, the old Aquarius...very nice looking hot talent but the lighting can be dark and some seating has blocked views. The tables along the northwest wall are good for viewing the entire club. I recommend you take Honey for a privado, she will bbbj for a few minutes without additional tipping so imagine what she will do for a propina. Some Colombian girls there...gorgeous 9-10s!
Gaous Gaous (spell check) pronounced Wow Wows, a traditional strip club with a few good looking chicas who want you to buy them drinks and to get you in the back for a privado, table dance is only $8 and just as much fun if you have a couple friends with you.
Las Juntas: back to the old name of a couple years ago, it has been Madonas and Kind of the same old tired scene, it’s also ran but it’s in the Devil's Triangle so a place to visit. I wasn’t impressed with the talent.
KAOS: this place is just plain nasty with the guys groping the girls like animals, one guy sitting next to us started vomiting and we got up and left...a few cuties but the management needs to rein in the low lifes frequenting the place.
Meau Meaus: Still my personal fav..there is a girl there who likes me and will do the big nasty with me for the price of 3 privados ($60). I have always liked the atmosphere in this place, I always feel safe, the waiters know me, the selection is usually good, and in the booths your back is always against the wall. Always a nice selection of 8-9s and the occasional 10 on the Mexico circuit plus a few regulars who have been there for years. You can take the girls out but that is pricey, look at about $200-225 for everything including bar exit fee, hotel across the street, a couple of drinks, misc tips and the girls fee which you negotiate, the hotter she is the higher the price but usually around 100-150 for an hour.
BSD: We stopped by there just to check it out and the place was dismal, stinky, lopsided tables and sad tired looking women....it was never an upscale place but it seems to be in a state of decline. I also lament the retirement of Alicia (I heard she got married) and the absence of Carolina. It may have been an off-night but it didn't look good through sober eyes.

I have gone to BSD over a number of years and on an infrequent basis. Unfortunately Alicia retired some time ago, about year and one-half or so. I believe, along with many others, that she is missed. Those of you know her incredible talents and she was a rare one.
However, last Saturday I found one better - incredible talent and all for $20 for 40 minutes of slow, delibeate and reverent worship of little jack!
Look for her outside 3 Aces or in Gallo Giro. Long black hair, looks like Morticia (not Lupe) and older. Have no names yet but it is good to know that talent still exists.

Went to San Felipe two years ago and found nothing. I did import so I wasn't looking too hard but did not really see anything other than people riding around on ATVs. Read OTHER AREAS within NW Border Towns and there may be more. I have not heard anything really positive and there are other cities like MXL and TJ with much more action. Please post anything positive and in the interim I would import or pick up something in MXL on the way down.

From the old port of entry, go straight on Madero (follow the signs for Aeropuerto). You will come to many ALTOS and signals and eventually will cross Calle A, Calle B, etc. The first signal past the ALTO at Calle K is Justo Sierra. There is a sign in the air that says Corona Agencia. Turn right on Justo Sierra. You will eventually come to a statue of Benito Juarez. As you pass the statue veer to the left. You will now be on Benito Juarez. Keep going straight on Benito Juarez. You will eventually arrive at the statue of Lazero Cardenas. Round the statue and keep going straight on Benito Juarez. A little bit past Home Depot on the right will be Giau Giau (pronounced Wow Wow) and Harrah's will be on the right in a little plaza a little bit past Giau Giau. The old Excalibur is a little bit further on Benito Juarez on the other side of the street just before the statue of Sanchez Taobada.

Just wanted to report that Bar Excalibur has been closed for about 2 weeks now. I think the owner, Sara, didn't pay the rent.

Most of the chicas are working at Harrah's now. Try Wendy as she is awesome y es una buena honda.

Before I rented a house here in Mexicali I used to stay at the Siesta Inn or the Calafia Hotel both of which are on Justo Sierra. I would register as a couple and tell them that my wife was going to arrive later. I would make up a Mexican name and register it as my wife, like Maria, Sara, Ana, Lupita etc.

As far as driving into Mexicali goes, it has always been nice to have my car with me in Mexicali. If you look at one of my older posts in like 2005 or 2004, I gave explicit directions on how to get to the Siesta Inn and Calafia Hotel from the old port of entry. You can always take a cab from the hotel to the various destinations.

I have never parked on the Calexico side. The one time I tried, the pay to park which was pretty far from the poe was full, so I bought the insurance and drove on in.

Making my first trip to Mexicali this weekend, and have done my homework and read the thread. I moved to AZ recently from NY, and have mongered quite a bit in NY and Canada. A few questions for anyone experienced with Mexicali.

Should I stay at a nice (non-chica friendly) hotel, or someplace like the Reforma or Kennedy where the chicas are welcome? Not taking the trip for the ambience of the hotel, if you get my drift.

Better to leave my car in US and taxi around town, or get the Mexican insurance and take my car over?

Plan to hit BSD one night and the ficha scene the other night.

Headed over to BSD Saturday. Alot of new talent. Few 9-10 and many 5-6. Of course I went with a 9. Her name is April or Abril. Dark skinned girl young beautiful smile. Saturday was her second day on the job. I got that MILF feeling while talking to her. She lived in the states doing some hard jobs and now is at BSD it doesn't get any better then that. Performance i give her an 8 but its her second day. Treat her nice lets keep her at her new profession. you could feel that she is fresh meat MMMH MMMH good.

Glad to see BSD did the trick for you. Suggest you stay with what you know for now. Otherwise hit the zona bars and study a little espanol. I got by for years just asking girls to dance and then inviting them for a beer. After a few beers or dances say "vamos" and "bend tee dollars" for starters. Hotels in the zone go for $5 to $8 for quickies. You are not paying for the Marriott. There are many good bars but I suggest frequenting BSD for your first few trips and that is always a fall back position. Try the Corrale a short distance from the Coca Cola plant, otherwise stick to the zone, about 4 blocks from the border. Mexicali only gets better and better. Get your comfort level up and try driving. It is not that bad and navigation is fairly easy in Mexicali. I start with the zone i.e. downtown then BSD. For more RTFF especially older reports. Joe Arturo is also an expert. His reports are excellent.
