[2nd Chance]

Last night I was out til 2:45am. I had an 6am gathering with a bunch of shooting buddies in Yuma so I skipped the hotel and drove to Yuma. At noon, I drove back to Mexicali and man, was I tired. I decided to take in a hotel. The girls at Hotel Posada was very friendly and talkative last night. I tried to get a room here, but they said they were booked.

Hotel 16 de Septiembre has a LOT of good looking girls but they were not as friendly. They just stared at people passing by, or thew the quick "Pssst" noise and chin lift. Nonetheless, they had a room available.

The rooms are on the 2nd floor. They are a 10"x9" room with a crappy bed, small dresser and a plastic patio chair. The A / C worked well. It's much too powerful for such a small room. I welcomed it, as it was blazing HOT on Saturday. No cloud coverage and I think I heard my forearms and legs sizzle a bit, like bacon on a skillet.

The bathroom is 1/2 the size of the bedroom. The shower is HUGE. I can see potential for the shower. It would be cool if there were grab handles in there. .

The sink was not located in the bathroom, but in the bedroom under the A / C.

The bed was a pretty crappy spring mattress sitting on top of a wood platform. It looked clean enough, but I still placed my shirt over the pillow.

The cost was 200pesos (Hotel Posada is 260pesos). They gave me two towels and a roll of toilet paper. When I asked for the key, they said that they keep the key? WTF, dude? If I leave and want to return, I just need to ask for the key from the front desk. They will unlock the room. Well, if you stay here, don't leave any valuables in there! I doubt if I will be using them again. Hotel Chinesca was nicer, but really isn't chica friendly.

Ok, the game plan (which I never seem to stick to them). Get some sleep. Wake up and out the door by 7pm. Head to BSD and play til 11pm. Back to hotel and snag a hotel girl for the rest of the evening.

When 7pm rolled by, I took a walk to find the cabs. I passed Playboy club and decided to go in and say hello to Soy and Nino. The waiter asked if I had enjoyed my private dance with Soy last night. I said,"it was OK". He said both girls are here today and asked if I wanted to say hello. That was the intention. Well, Soy mentioned our dance and Nino copped a fake attitude and asked if I wanted a private with her. Shit, it was only $20 for two songs, so why not. I am surprised that this Friday night was so slow. Lots of girls but fewer guys. I was also shocked at the level of talent that was standing in front of the hotels. Last week I make the trip down to Mexicali on Thursday night. I got in to Mexicali after 10pm and by the time I checked in to my hotel freshened up it was closer to midnight. I made my way to BSD in taxi that broke down twice on the way there and ultimatly coasted into the BSD parking lot.

I walked in and the place was about half full. The girls were not that impressive and many of them were wearing clothes that were two sizes two small. I found a table and ordered a cerveza, one of the girls was walking around looking for donors to the Jukebox fund and actually made good selections with the donations. I ordered a second beer (my limit) and had been checking out the girl who was soliciting monedas for the jukebox. I asked the waiter if he would ask the woman if she would join me for a drink. The one thing that I realized that was different between El Establo of yesterday and today is the general disregard for their customers and the girls. I had to step outside a few times because the cigarette smoke got to thick and needed to breath some fresh air. I made small talk with the security guys and while there they had to go in to one of the rooms because as the Front desk told the security gaurd that the customer had walked out 20 minutes ago but the girl still had not come out. Turns out she drank to much and took a siesta, later on I saw her back in side sitting down barely able to hang on. There talent level that Friday night was abysmal. It seemed as if they went out in a couple of pick up trucks and brought in a bunch of SW's. Having read the story about your Android translator app earlier, I chuckled inside at how fascinated they were over the device as you had mentioned in your post.

I don't think any of the them were poking fun, but rather fascinated with the device and your ingenuity.

I guess for now on when I go there I will be the Android Man. LOL If you do not speak Spanish, they are very handy. I have used it to get hotel rooms, order from restaurants, order Viagra from pharmacies and of course to negotiate with women. I have even used it here in Phoenix with some of the working girls that do not speak English. If you do not speak Spanish, make sure you get the app! It is only $5.

Wow, I guess I am famous at El Establo now! Actually though it was an Android phone, not an Iphone. I had the Jibbigo translator app on it (http://www.jibbigo.com). I actually never talked to anyone named Erika so I am not sure how she would know the story. Rosemary actually told me she wants one of them. It is the only non phone device I know of that you can put the app on other than a tablet which of course would be very expensive). It sounds like now though I am sort of the comical customer that came one night with an Android to communicate so maybe I better avoid the place because it sounds like they did not like the experience. I would say it is probably "The Best Little *****house In Mexicali". ROFL. The only problem with it is that it is so far way from the border it is hard to get to. I guess they do not like Gringos that use electronic translators to communicate. LOL.
