Well I had a good time, but not a great time. Although I think a great time was clearly possible.

Crossing into Mexico you are in a mall type of structure. You walk down a series of stairs and then you walk up into Mexico. There is an up stairway in the middle of the mall and at the far end. You are supposed to take the stairs in the middle. I ended up at the far end my first time and had to walk back. It seems others on this board have made the same mistake. If you do it right you come up on Ave Lopez Mateo and can see the Hotel De Norte. Having looked at 2nd Chance's map made this much easier although I am not sure the google map is accurate, as the distance to the round-about looks short on the map but I would guess it is close to half a mile. Also the round-about looks big on the map, but in reality it is much smaller than I thought it would be. Regardless it was a good landmark and easy to navigate by.
