    AA Parking

I actually parked my car there for 4 nights once without issue. I was in Mexicali for other reasons than our favorite hobby, I had some surgery. In fact, if you need any medical procedures that your insurance will not cover, Mexicali is an awesome place to go. Surgeries for 1/3 the cost. Anyway, sorry to get off topic, it is true the parking lot does have a lot of pot holes. It is not paved so when you pick up your car it will be covered in dust so you will probably want to wash it. Other than that though it is a good place for long term parking.

Last time I was there, my biggest complaint was the ruts and potholes in their unpaved yard. Overall, the rates, security and proximity to the POE is good IMO.

    Also great map. 2nd!

Has anyone used this place recently and has security improved? Or, is there any other options for overnight / extended parking?

That's awesome. This map was a group effort. Several members volunteered information which allowed me to get it to where it is today. It's still a work in progress. I would like to add as much stuff to it as possible. Next will be hotels. I'm just having trouble finding them in Google Maps. Google maps has a hard time with the addresses.

If by La Zona you mean la zona roja or la zona de tolerancia then Sports Bar 624 is located in the zona but BSD is not.

I guess that will depend on which POE you came through. If you came through 111, then probably not. Take a look at the link for the Google Map in the earlier thread. I believe I PM'd it to you. One of the items is "The Zone" for Mexicali.

Almost every bar, strip club and restaurant is closed Christmas Eve and New Years Eve as the employees are home with their families.

[QUOTE=Chica Luv; 1098198]Here is a basic listing for some of the hotels in Mexicali. Several of which have been talked about here on the Board.

I found the below list helpful when doing a search for internet price specials and / or reservations. I found that if I didn't type in the EXACT name of the hotel, I often could not pull it up on the web.

An example is Hotel Del Sol. Which is often listed as Hotel Villa del Sol, Blvd. López Mateos why Fuerza Aérea #133 Which, like MrWoolyBooly, I too use. Good price, nice people, clean and good location.

I'll be in Mexicali this week Thursday-Tuesday bird hunting by day and chica hunting by night.

Good list. I have stay in Hotel Azteca de Oro for several nights. It costs 300 peso. And it has a bar. Certain night, there is musician there, some woman hang out there.

I never said it intersected. Read the post. Once you hit justo sierra go straight for 1. 2 not 1. 6 miles. Turn right and go. 5 miles (not 4. 5) for BSD
