I understand what you are saying CTX. This past May was only my 3rd trip (my first was before COVID May 2019 with my 2nd last Nov.) and was kinda 'meh'. I wrote my trip report about a couple negative experiences I had this past May there. Tijuana very much going this way too where they try to clip you at every level of the transaction / supply chain and SGs asking way more than I ever encountered. The exchange rate surely not helping.

So I am happily booked for San Jose, Costa Rica for 1 whole week the beginning of Sept. and when Copa starts up out of Austin could even go down into Colombia (Medellin) via PTY and back over a long weekend taking just 2 days off. There are other flights into Colombia from PTY however Medellin has many per day in case of any flight delays.

Belated trip report.

Went to CDMX then MTY.

Hotel 500 was sold out so went with Plaza Arteaga in a pinch, place appears GF.

Took a weekender down to Monterrey this past week, and really had a great time. Thanks to everyone for all the outstanding reports in this forum. Many were very helpful to me as I planned my adventure.

I arrived at MTY midday on Thursday and I flew through immigration, customs, and I was walking out to grab a taxi in no time. I passed a couple of the terminals for getting a ticket for a taxi, which I had read about. MTY is too hot now, wait for the weather to cool down. Now I will rent an Condo with a pool and with good Air Conditioning, I probably will only meet new girls at the hotel. There air conditioning sucks. The only issue in renting apartments they can be strict with guests.

The hotel I stay at is very nice and they are super cool with me. The staff just laughs when they see me with different girls and never says a word.

There has been a change to the inspection at the first checkpoint, most of the time they are not checking ID's, Car Registration, Tourism Card, now they are checking at the 2nd toll both, so make sure you paperwork is up to date.

First, let me start by saying I respect your knowledge. Having said that, if you're talking escorts, I'm not sure there's better value than Puebla. It's also safe with big city vibe yet without the chaos of CDMX, which I love but do need a break from if there over an extended period. When I was in Puebla about 10 months ago, there was no shortage of escorts that would happily come to your room for 700-1200.

Never try to compare Thailand to Tijuana, it's quite different. Monterrey is more expensive, but it is all about exploring different places for me. And there is a lot to explore in Monterrey. I have now visited 27 states in Mexico, and Tijuana still have the best prices!

KB did you read TomJackin report on his visit to MTY? If not it's back in 10/2019 #3559. He always does a great job on the clubs he visits and places to eat in the city. I have bought tickets to go to MTY twice but ended up not going for various reasons. I still need to visit if not for the clubs but some girls I follow on Twitter that I would like to see.
