I see nothing bad about water shortage. I am staying nice hotel but I walked around a lot. Actually never have I felt more safe walking around a mexico neighborhood. It feels better than Rosarita south of Tijuana.

I know I am used to bad neighborhoods all over the world but this town feels very chill for how big it is. All the girls I talk to in the industry are far away from my hotel except one. Maybe those ares more rough I dunno.

Just getting back in the game after a long Covid induced hiatus during which I didn't travel to US and consequently to nowhere in central / south America. I felt rusty after a long pause but soon realized this is like a riding a bicycle -you learn it once and never forget! This trip was couple months ago and my apologies if I don't recall all the details. After all, I am older now than prior to Covid!

I flew in from Texas to MTY for business and stayed in company booked hotel Krystal Monterrey. I had colleagues with me who believe in jesus / god and even go to church so I didn't engage them in any non work related conversation, nor brought or met any chicas at my hotel. The hotel itself was just ok. Location was good with everything in walking distance. The service was a hit or miss. The gym and lobby bar were open but also nothing to write home about.

Due to lack of any pre trip preparation and lack of reporting on this forum, everything was pretty much greenfield application per se. I mostly contacted putas on my burner phone and via whatsapp. Most I contacted were casas or agencies. I don't like agencies plus I didn't want to meet anyone at my hotel so I strictly went with chicas that have a place to host. I mostly walked everywhere except taking Uber couple times late at night when the chica / casa were far from my hotel.

As expected, some experiences were great, some were WTF just happened type and some worth remembering. Also not sure if that's a MTY thing but the casas are called 'Depas' -for e. G. I found this place on-line. Turned out to be a casa. They were quick to send pics, prices, location etc. I went to this place twice. One was memorable and the second time was meh experience at best. They have a line up. You have a good chance of finding a diamond in the rough but it is pure roll of the dice situation depending on when you are there and who is / isn't available. The second time I was there, there was a group of 3 guys visibly drunk entering just before I didn't. They were aggressive and rough with the girls during the line up. I went to this place at least twice. The first time was awesome. They have a line up but strangely enough each girl quotes her own price. Never seen a line up like this before! Cocr, people do not think of going to Mexico to cool off, but I have been meeting my gal in Mexico City and the temps there are 70's during the day and 60's at night. Only issue is that it is the rainy season there now.

Cancun is high 80's now and Guadalajara highs are low 80's during the day now, and they too have the rainy season, but both are way cooler than the big Texas cities.

Monterrey is a great city for seeking but the WGs are much cheaper and IMO much better in CDMX and Guadalajara.

Yep, it rains everyday at 5 pm. It is honestly kind of cool, just part of life.

Even MTY cooler than most of TX by about 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

I mean even if MTY mid to high 90's in the day cools down quickly and pleasant after 10 PM or so. But if they shut off water service due to drought then most nice restaurants, bars, brothels etc. Also shut down.

This one of the reasons why I have been going to CDMX, the weather is great minus the afternoon showers, but that cools everything down. At night the temperature is in the 50, so nice.

CDMX is the best, there so many great things about the city. I hope to be in MTY this weekend and then off to CDMX.

Volaris canceled there afternoon flights to CDMX, so this totally screwed things up for me. Now they only have a 10 Am flight, out of San Antonio, this sucks for my work schedule. Aeromexico is crazy expensive, so I guess I will start flying out of MTY again, much cheaper and the weather will start cooling down in September, so I can have the best of both worlds. One night in MTY, then 3 or 4 days in CDMX.

I just looked at weather forecast in MTY for next 10 days and mostly mid to low 90s not at bad as 95+. And it gets into low 70s at night and in the early morning. If not for drought and business closings limited hours etc. I would go. Weather cooler than TX and AZ at least.
