Hello everyone,

I am visiting MTy for the first time, and I wanted to find out more about the Massage Places. I saw that earlier on this thread, you were talking aobut Verssaces and others, but that was a few years ago.

I want to know which MP is better now, and what is the going rate?

I also so online a place called Misses. Do you know anything about that one?

Sure...I doubt he is particularly interested in the lunch buffet at Prestige...But, honestly, there are times when I am back here in the US that I sincerely miss the food at the lunch buffet at The Prestige.

It is more often than not, "OUTSTANDING!!!" And, for sixty pesos...plus you get one drink with it. I suppose some would say that the attraction there "should be" the girls. But, honestly, if the girls were NOT there, I would go just for the buffet.

As you know Carlos, I am not particularly thrilled with the girls, and were it not for the buffet, I would probably never return there. That says something about the girls...but, the buffet stands on it's own.

The Louisianna restaurant at the Zona Rosa... walking distance from the Radisson Ancira and 2 blocks away from the CP.
I always recomend it... international cuisine.

After that, you have to move to the Colonia del Valle area for all the good ones.

Seafood: Muelle 17 (any of both locations).

Chinese: Mandarin or the Chinese Express (AT COLONIA DEL VALLE... don't accept the clones at San Jeronimo Ave.

Regional: Deli norteño tacos (good, believe me, not a taco stand) El Papalote.
Regional high class: El Granero.

Local and good: El Rey del Cabrito.

Local and best: El Gran Pastor.

Red Meats (tons): San Carlos and Mirador (under renovation, but open)

Give me an idea of what you are looking for.. be glad to help.

And the local scene... well yes!! Unspongebob has taken care of ALL my chicas... am with out ONE!!!!!

Twice now I have tried to reply and it doesn't show up. Anyway, Thanks to both CP and USB for the help. Yes, the local Mexican restaurants, nice, but not too nice are what I am interested in. Argentinan sounds good too. Where is the zone you refer to. Mapquest is no good unless you kow where to look. Thanks again to both of you.

Thank you CP and USB for your input. Yes, I have been to Prestige, and had the buffet. If I remember the buffet was included in what I paid to get in. That was early in my Mexico experiences. Prestige has a way of separating you from your money very quick. I did sit with a very nice lady and got a dance or two from her, but did I pay for that. I know much more now, and won't go back. I found the girls in mid level places give better service. The high end place girls expect big bucks and know they don't have to do much for the money; they won't see the gringo again. I like your suggestion on the Mexican and the meat places. That's what I was looking for. I have Applebees here. I want to experience the locale where I am. I have been studing mapquest of the city, but mapquest does not have the address feature we have in the US or Canada. Where is the zone you refer?

I know the CP is not chica friendly. But I wonder if I would bring a girl to my room anyway. If I want GFE, I get it at home. I want some strange. It looks like there are other things to see around CP. The Sheraton may be more chica friendly, but not as well situated for other activities. What's your take?

Is the Vilagren area walkable from CP? I have walked both ends of the park with the government buildings and the pedistrian shopping area. Walking a mile is no big deal. It seems to be doable on the map, but I haven't been to that area. Is it safe to walk to? I can't wait to see all the chica bars!

It would be quite interesting to share a beer with either of you. Both of you have so much experience, and such different perspectives! Thanks again for your help!

I forgot to mention El Regio an El Tio as local restaurants, but their glory days are long gone.
At the htoels they will always recomend El Tio... maybe because they get kickbacks or they have comercial exchanges between businesses, but they do send guests there. Not that it is bad, but as I said, there are better places now elsewhere.

I realize the gentleman was asking for authentic Mexican Restaurants in town, and probably of the "higher end" category, but...

Don't forget El Gaucho...excellent Argentinian Steaks...don't remember exactly where it is, but I think you have to cross the tunnel to get to it, along the main highway, right Carlos?

And, if the gentleman likes buffets, he should definitely check out the 60 pesos lunch buffet at El Prestige, after 2pm. It seems he may be already familiar with places like El Prestige. I sense he already has some familiarity with Monterrey through his post.

and, then, if he likes conventional buffets, i am partial to los generales as well. not to mention the sirloin stockade which is far and away better than their counterparts in the us for reasonable casual dining. there may be a better los generales, one better than the others in town, but i don't know which of them to recommend.

with the exception of el gaucho, which has a "higher end" kind of motif, the other recommendations are casual, relatively modestly priced.

and, carlos, you owe me a visit to a good taco stand too. lets see, based on your list, this deli norteño tacos looks appropriate.

why then, wasn't it you that was insisting that i eat at the taco stand outside of el infinito &%$*#$*(not) :-)))), just kidding.

and with respect to girls...i choose to hang with just one, while simulataneously searching for other options. and, with that in mind, i only took one of your girls. and, don't forget, you originally stole her from me. afterall, my "angel girl" was mine first, two and a half years ago. i can't think of a second one...well, maybe "v" at the harem, but i thought you were kind of through with her anyway...i can't think of any others that i may have "charmed" away from you. ohhhh, and what about angry girl, you have charmed her into some kind of potential for you. just don't make her "angry," verdad?

have you been back to see my girl at the new givenchy to assure her that i will be returning someday, uhhhhhhm? seriously, perhaps you have come across her. she is kind of an angry girl stand-in. same kind of high school body, except a little more meat on her bones, and the meat is seemingly in all the right places. she reminds me of angry girl because the first time i met her, she was wearing a baseball cap, and had that little pony tail sticking out from behind, kind of like angry girl with her caps and scrunchies. have to work on her sweetness though.

i haven't dreamed up a name for this one yet. she had this distinctive attitude that probably had more to do with her not particularly liking to be a hooker, that kind of thing. i just sensed that she is kind of mildly pissed off at life. not really a very happy disposition. i have to work on changing that. or completely dump her...i haven't decided which. go find her carlos, and tell me what you think. she works the night shift at givenchy, and when i found her, she had only been working a few weeks.

ya' know...some girls always give you that line...that they have only been working a few weeks...but, with me, they can't lie because i have been there since some of them were just out of [CodeWord131] :-)

The Centro restaurants are all American franchises.... and not exactly in the Centro area.

Upscale restaurant.

Thanks CP! Where is the Colonia del Valle area? I have been studing the mapquest map of the Centro, but mapquest does not have "find address" feature in Monterrey. El Gran Pastor and El Rey del Cabrito sound interesting as does San carlos and Mirador.

I know CP is not girl friendly. That's why I have thought about changing. I wonder if I would want to bring a girl to my room. And CP seems to have other interesting things to see and do close by. Seems the Sheraton may be girl friendly, but no closer to Vilagren than CP. What's your take? Is the Vilagren area walkable from the CP?

I hope USB has left some chicas! I thought USB was only an occasional visitor. It would be most interesting to share a beer with either of you.

And mainly, many guys read the posts, but don't pass along their experience here in Monterrey, nor ask questions.

Some do, but others just follow what we point out here in the forum.

This is not exclusive of this site, it has happened at the other Forums I post in.

I have to concur with Carlos with respect to the potential that is available to one living in Monterrey. I have found some really great girlfriends in Monterrey over time, even after only being able to visit once a month for a week at a time, which is not even close to the amount of time that Carlos has available to him to work a plan patiently every week, several days a week actually.

I've been able to get to know a number of girls that I would have been able to turn into "real" girlfriends, ones that, if I had actually lived there, I know would have turned out to be real "novias" in the strictest sense of the word.

Those same kinds of GFE sessions are available much more easily in the other venues it seems, but none-the-less, the opportunity to experience GFE is available in Monterrey. And, if I lived there, I am also confident that the cost would be certainly less than what it would cost me to travel to other venues, even with respect to cost per session.

I do know that the same opportunity does NOT exist in the US, so I routinely travel to the destination that I can most easily justify, Monterrey. But, I must admit, at times, I do become frustrated after having experienced what the rest of the World has to offer compared to the lengthy effort required of Monterrey.

Monterrey does require more work than the other venues, and the cost per session is "INITIALLY" much higher. But, the quality of experience, once the ground work has been completely, is second to none comparatively worldwide.

Were I living in Monterrey, I suspect I might feel the same way about it as Carlos with respect to ROI (Return on Investment) as compared to worldwide travel to monger. But, since I must travel regardless, and I must travel where I can justify it, Monterrey offers an experience that I simply can not experience in the US, period. Some fun is better than none, verdad?

Being local all my life (48 years now) and 25 years of doing night rounds nonstop, once in a while I have considered dream visits to SEA and SA.
Nope... can't agree as you say JdFlores.
No way can you monetarly justify a trip... just airfare kills you (specially SEA) and just to be there for a few days and then a vast amount of days, months between trips ... nope.
What I spend in money here all month long (visits to the Obsession and Prestige lunch buffets, visits to Infinito, Harem, Casino, Bahamas, Rancho Loco) would only give me 5 days at Medellin.
I wouldn't exchange that for the girls I have at the clubs and the fun I have with them... and all that just a car drive away.

And for our American friends... well, they are here for business or because it's easier for them to reach our destination. Not the other way around.
They are like us, they just can't go elsewhere....

Don't know if you guys have gone to medellin, but being I mexican and having lived in Monterrey for 10 years, I can tell you that with the amount you spent coming to monterrey just to monger, I would definitively instead go to Medellin, check the Medellin Forum, prices are lower and "chicas" are more available and more willing to offer good service, GFE, it really is much more cost-effective than Monterrey. Of course airfare is going to be more expensive, but in the end, experience is much better.

Ahhh, how much I'd like to be in medellin, instead of Monterrey!

No argument here...

I've never been to Medellin, but I have been to Cartegena. I have to admit that the todo la noche, GFE, experience is much more easily available in Colombia, and for a considerably lesser amount of money, even when factoring in the approximate $200 increase in RT airfare from my particular city in the USA versus the airfare to Monterrey.

To understand why some of us frequent Monterrey, you also have to understand that some of us can more easily justify a business trip to Mexico, to Monterrey specifically, a huge commercial center in Mexico, more easily than we can justify a trip to Colombia. And, in some cases, because we simultaneously conduct business in Monterrey, we can write off the travel expenses. That is not so nearly as easily done when traveling to some other venues for some of us. In addition...

Many of us have home lives that make regular international travel relatively complicated, and for some, impossible. I have pulled off a number of excuses over the years to travel all over the world, but in the final analysis, traveling to Monterrey is significantly easier. I know that it's probably not nearly as much potential enjoyment with respect to mongering, notwithstanding the huge enjoyment we get fraternizing with our regular buddies that live and visit Monterrey often. But, it serves to hold me over until I can find some half assed excuse to travel to a more rewarding destination.

However, with respect to strip clubs specifically, I suspect that the strip club experience in Medellin is not really quite to the standard of Monterrey. As I said, I have never been to Medellin specifically, but I can tell you that the strip club scene in Cartegena is terrible in comparison.

Of course, the mongering scene is far and away better than Monterrey with respect to selection, GFE, todo la noche, cost, etc...But, if you like terrorizing the strip clubs, and you enjoy the strip club environment, you won't find a better venue anywhere in the World for those kinds of activities than in Monterrey, IMHO.

Ahhhhhhh, how much I would like to be in Monterrey, Medellin, Cartegena, Bogota, San Jose, Jakarta, Bangkok, Pattaya, Batam, Phnom Phen, Singapore, or Bali, etc...than to be in the Corn Belt of the USA....Consider yourself damn fortunate!!! :-) The grass is always greener, verdad?
