I've been to Monterrey 10+ times and it's not that bad. It's in a valley between 2 mountain ranges and if the wind isn't moving the smog can accumulate and the mountians can look a little hazy. Also, lots of vehicles seem to be on the road that would never pass any sort of emissions testing in the US. One thing I noticed was on the north end and especially by the Cemex plants the place can get pretty dusty when there hasn't been rain for a while. You seem to get a grit in your mouth that only Tecate, Modelo or Patron will wash away. You will however, entirely forget the poor air quality when you are in in Bahamas (or Harems) and you are about to shoot your 2nd load into a flaca linda chica's boca.

I have lived in both cities Monterrey and Guadalajara and I must say quality of life it is better in Monterrey and women (and people in general) are so much friendly and don't have that nasty double moral standard present in Guadalajara's Tapatias.

It is, at times, unbearably hot(100F+/high humidity) with 90+ percent of the taxis without a/c. But the MP's offer incredible value(roughly 700 pesos tip(200p) inclusive). When I return this year during the continued and unprecendented ascent of this upcoming long, economic global contraction, I am anticipating $700 peso-one and a half hour salidas with 7 and 8's. But then again, that's the way it's going to be in most parts of MX if it is already not such. The economist's estimate of only a .05 percent drop in 2009 in U.S. money remittances for the Michoacan state is an absolute fuc_ing pipe dream.

Regardless, I actually love Monterrey(no problems with air quality/some traffic)and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good sex at a great value.

Totally untrue, false and an open lie.
But you must be confusing Mexico City with Monterrey.

In Monterrey, pollution counts do not go over 100 as opposed to Mexico City where they go well into the 200's Imecas and some days, way beyond that.

So we'll leave this a a simple mistake coming from someone that has lived in Guadalajara for the last 6 years.
