Posts: 387San Pedro vs Antiguo Barrio?
Anyone have any preference for what neighborhood to stay in while visiting Monterrey? I have read both San Pedro and Antiguo Barrio are both good for nightlife. Planning a trip for late June. Would be nice to find a strip club with some decent talent that doesn't break the bank. Even a few bars which are known to cater to foreigners would be cool,"if they exist".

"There has been a bad flu gong around. All my guys got sick at work, plus the weather has been terrible for 3 weeks. ".
The flu or new Kung Flu? Either way it sucks and sorry to hear ruined your weekend. If I travel too much and / or worn down I usually come down with something. Even with vaccines can still get flus.
I was very tired this past weekend and sick fatigued bad on Monday morning from traveling to South Florida for regular night clubs (dancing and partying) over MDM then not sleeping good two nights last week.

Can anyone provide a short list of currently operating spas and lower to mid priced strip bars that have private rooms in Monterrey downtown / Centro area please and a rough guide on pricing? It's been a few years since I been there and I am sure the landscape has changed.
Thanks in advance.

Do you think it was something you ate that made you ill? Thinking back, can you identify what it was you ate that made you ill?
Sucks that you lost 5 days of debauchery due to this. Often travelling, every day is important, and I know the feel.

Posts: 574Trip aborted from barrage of sicknesses
Sunday: pretty uneventful day. Wanted to meet up with SA girl finalists and civilian activities, thinking Parque Fundidora or some of thr ritzy high end malls of San Pedro side.
On the way, took a quick peek in Tokyo Spa and Masajes Deseos. One passing grade girl in Tokyo but moved along.
Took a subway ride to Macroplaza and as I exited the stairs out in the open were the same two dudes from Austin I met in the strip club last night. We walked and talked for a little bit. They asked for options on Sundays so thru WhatsApp sent him locations to Tokyo Spa and Micheldepa#1. He messaged me later that night said he ended up going to Tokyo Spa and went with an older worker. Please, please, please don't pull the trigger out of desperation!
We went separate routes, never heard back from SA for Sunday, two SA girls said they'd meet and greet on Tuesday, so did my thing, changed hotels, ate a late lunch, then got ready for a 7 pm outing to return to Club Matehuala. Got a ride there. All club / retail businesses close early on Sundays. Oops. Thought about walking but started pouring cats and dogs, so retreated to hotel, called it a night.
Monday.
Woke up at 3 am feeling nausea ran to the bathroom blowing chunks and having the runs. No clue where this came from. No way this is happening. Hunkered in hotel room till almost 2 pm feeling not right. Figured I had to do something with my day. Rallied (barely) and headed out to spa scene with hopes of clubs later.
Micheldepa location at 1180 Carranza is not there. The building is covered in caution tape, they yanked all the cameras and door bell. There's nothing there. Too bad. So many hit or miss memories.
Walked down the street to Deseos and Tokyo. One decent looking girl in Deseos, but wanted to return to the other day.
Walked back to Samaris at 1007 Arteaga. Recruited WG seen on Saturday. Named Perla, 34 yo but you wouldn't have noticed, curvy body big booty and gigantic tits, Cuban living in MTY, 1100 p for hour gets unlimited pops, GFE, BBBJ, swallows, I was ready.
In room, asked if she offered extras, just to mess around and surprise she was down for additionals. I was kidding first time around but it was hard to pass so I took a chance. First round was enjoying those enormous tits, DFK, BBBJ DATY and mish before I unloaded in her mouth and chest.
Between rounds told her about possible food poisoning, she went from MILF to mom and whipped up bottled water, alka seltzer, and some limes demanded I drink the whole thing to clear my innards.
Round 2 was cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, then finally doggy when I finished.
We called it a good time. Repeat with Perla the Cuban? Definitely.
Originally wanted to peek inside two or three other houses a few blocks away. Was starting to feel fatigued, not the sexual kind.
After session with Perla, I walked 8 blocks and last 3 were an absolute struggle. I know I wanted to contribute and peek in nearby houses and maybe hit another strip club for ISG sake, but I was down and out.
I took Uber back to hotel, was in bed asleep by 8 pm. Woke up at 3 am to message some SA girls I'm out of commission, illness, can meet for sure next time not sure when that is. They seemed bummed but ok with it. Most of them even today are reaching out to see how I'm doing.
Tuesday morning, a day earlier than planned, packed up and took bus back to Nuevo Laredo. Car wasn't ready for pick up, so ended up sleeping in dinky Nuevo motel for night and hit the road Wednesday afternoon.
By Thursday morning, in Austin, a few co-workers and other peers were calling in super sick, by Friday morning my voice was just gone. Been sleeping in most of following weekend too. Just have not been able to catch a break since my second vaccine on May 21.
5 days of debauchery STOLEN from me.

Thinking of taking my bike across the border to hit a few Mexican cities for a few weeks at the end of June. I know border is officially closed to automobile traffic. Does anyone know how strickly this is enforced? I am a few days ride from the border, so I don't want to risk not being able to cross. I also know I need auto-insurance if I leave the border zone, which I plan to do. Are insurance companies still offering auto insurance to Americans with the border closed? Anyone have any recent experience with any of these topics? I have read that the border is not strickly enforced and my chances of being allowed to cross are pretty good. Is this true?
