Are there any hotels right near some of the bigger strip clubs? How is uber / lyft / taxis in the area?

Taxis no problem. My first was from the Central Autobuses where you prepay for a chit so the driver doesn't rip you on the fare. I was going to make a business trip to Monterrey in one day but some helpful tips from the Master Juan Carter tempted me to extend it two nights so I'the have a whole day to check out the scene. But doing that on a weekend and without doing any homework wasn't good planning.
