If you are in the SoCal area, round trip flights from Tijuana are about $100, for a weekend trip I've seen this price regularly, just an FYI.

My first visit to mty and would like to thank the prior posters for making my trip very easy and fun. It was a quick weekend trip. This will be more for the newbies than the vets. Took the direct fligth from lax to mty on Aero Mexico, and it was a smooth easy 3 hour flight. 2 1/2 hours coming home. It is so nice now that you don't have to fill out the fmm or customs forms. Only two questions from immigration. Is your trip for Business and how long are you staying. Less than a minute and go to collect my small suitcase. Yes it was only a weekend trip but I took the small suitcase for the return, not to raise any red flags. I seen people with just backpacks coming to the USA And getting questions why they are traveling so lightly. After picking up my suitcase on to to the taxi kiosk. Nice and easy except when it asked the zone number. I had to ask a worker there what zone my hotel was in. Zone 3 and a list of companies come up. I choose the first one, which was golden and stated it would be $450.00. I accepted and paid be credit card. That was one thing nice about the kiosk, cash or credit. I stayed at the Fiesta Americana Pabellon M which is a nice hotel next to a mall. In the mall, plenty of places to eat although I didn't eat at any, plus many banks which all had ATM's to get money out. Not sure if this hotel is girl friendly since I didn't bring anyone back.

I tried to do as much sight- seeing as possible with the limited time I had and the heat was no help either. I did visit three venues while there. First off was Osiris which was a way from the hotel. By the way after the first taxi, I used Uber for all rides after that. At Osiris you ring a bell to get in. I arrived around 10:30 and that was too early for a good lineup. I know there are not many strips clubs, I go to Mexico City often. In Monterrey you can go to a strip and a get a chicas number and meet her afterwards for a fraction of what they ask in the club they are more open than tijuana. It's just surprising how people don't see that there is a trove of escorts but to each their own. Like DF said a lot of action is online and you got to do just do some work. I understand what you are saying CTX. This past May was only my 3rd trip (my first was before COVID May 2019 with my 2nd last Nov.) and was kinda 'meh'. I wrote my trip report about a couple negative experiences I had this past May there. Tijuana very much going this way too where they try to clip you at every level of the transaction / supply chain and SGs asking way more than I ever encountered. The exchange rate surely not helping.

So I am happily booked for San Jose, Costa Rica for 1 whole week the beginning of Sept. and when Copa starts up out of Austin could even go down into Colombia (Medellin) via PTY and back over a long weekend taking just 2 days off. There are other flights into Colombia from PTY however Medellin has many per day in case of any flight delays.

I want to go back to CO and eat me out another paisa pussy!

Belated trip report.

Went to CDMX then MTY.

Hotel 500 was sold out so went with Plaza Arteaga in a pinch, place appears GF.
