I'm planning to do a weekend getaway to MTY. I've RTFF and understand that escorts, massage houses, and Mathelula strip club may be where I spend my time. I still have a few questions if anyone could answer:

1. Any outdoor places to sit back and drink beer and people watch (regular girls)?

2. Is there a shopping mall that is recommended for killing time and cheap local food? Any recommended street food areas?

3. Just wanted to confirm that there are no recommended freelancer venues like bars, discos and only the websites listed for independent girls?

4. Taxis metered or negotiated rates? If negotiated, what should be a typical fare within the city to the venues during day and night?

Normally no-one will ask for a tourist card, but if they do, and you are without, it could be an issue. Card is very easy to get in Nuevo Laredo, and for stays of less than 7 days, it's free.

All the massage parlors seem closed by 8 pm. Are there any good massage parlors that are open till late night?

Nobody even bothered to challenge me on the Mexican side, much less issue me a tourist card, and the bus ran non-stop all the way, both ways, never a check or a toll booth. I think I'll go back in November, and so I'm doing my homework now. I really appreciate this forum's suggestions for good hotels, most of all.

I visited MTY exclusively for mongering action this past week. Took a bus from the valley to MTY which costs about 32 dollars one way and takes about 4 hours. Checked in to best western royal courts at san nicolas as recommended in this forum. It costs about 93 dollars with a free morning breakfast. They have internet in the reception area but wifi sucks. The hotel is totally puta friendly.

I got girls mostly from aliciasdollhouse. I was thinking about luces azules but I only speak english. The chat function on alicias made it very comfortable to me. They run promotion in the morning and I paid about 1600 pesos for supposedly 2 hours of company. The first girl was very pretty but gave a shitty experience. The rest 2 girls were 6 out of 10 but gave a very pleasant experience. All 3 girls were late on arrival by atleast 45 min.

I also tried different strip clubs but worth mentioning is matehuela. Its one of the low budget club with plenty of girls. Some of the girls are very pretty. I had to pay 1400 pesos for an hour of service including the room charge. Apparently you can also fuck in the VIP rooms...

As far as I know the Agency owner of Luces Azules (Lic Antoni) speaks English so you can try and book a girl with no problem, the only thing will be some girls won't speak English at all but that won't be much of an issue as the working girls already know what they have to do (suck and fuck you).

Things have changed considerably just in 18 months, or perhaps it's quite different between leaving from Nvo. Laredo and leaving from Reynosa. See my post #2951 below with my experience from Nvo. I think Luces Azules charges around 7000 pesos por all night (the girl will stat from 10 pm to 7 am) but if you want my recommendation with 7000 pesos you can have sex with several quality escorts girls instead of spending all that money in one single girl.

You can give the girl additional 300 pesos to fuck and additional 60 pesos for every song. So lets say you fuck for 40 min, you total probable cost will be 60 x10 600 pesos plus 300 is around 900 pesos. I never tried this option but was suggested by many girls and maseros.

Overall I think MTY is mostly escorts scene. Strip clubs other than matehuela are way expensive. Don't even bother to try them.

There are many escorts facebook pages which advertise in MTY which sound to be better option and I am willing to try next visit. Anybody has any inputs on this?

I will be going again and a side kick would be nice, I know my way around Monterrey real good but to be honest it cost me time and money for over 5 years,. If you decided to go at it alone, you can literally spend a week with no good results, taxi's sending you to the most expensive bars to get kick backs, below average looking girls, its not recommend!, me on the other hand know the very best spots at reasonable prices. I live in the McAllen area and know the fastest safest way there on bus. (not through Reynosa where sometimes the bus takes ungodly amounts of time to get there, no bull it took me 6 hours once, getting people there visas at customs then getting pulled over by the Fedrales 5 times. Next the Mexican military escorting everyone off the bus twice for inspection. NO WAY through Reynosa. Don't bash, this is from my own experience!

My last trip to MTY from Nuevo Laredo, about 3 months ago, I got a tourist card in Nuevo Laredo, for free. It was only good for 7 days, but I didn't plan on staying that long anyway.

I was also checking on taking the bus on a round trip from Reynosa. The prices are very reasonable with a round trip less than $50 for the 3 hour ride. From the reports I have read, it is safe to travel during the daytime. You have to have a tourist card since you are traveling beyond the tourist zone and the buses get checked at several toll booths on the autopista. Once in Monterrey, there are no problems. Plenty of reasonably priced hotels (I have never had a problem with an escort visiting the room. Just meet her in the lobby) and motels if you have an escort that prefers those. If you check back through the photo gallery of the Monterrey thread, there was recently (a few weeks ago) a discussion as to which escort companies were good and provided decent girls.
