Regarding inflation the only thing I know to do is purchase some precious metals. I never liked the thought of one ounce gold bars and coins costing so much and hard to barter for smaller everyday transactions however I found these 1 gram bars some in multi combo packs and I even seen some where each 1 gram bar has its own separate package. I went to MTY 3 weeks ago by plane from SAT however had to cut the trip short since I planned to work from my hotel room and visit MPs in the day however my main web mapping tool would not work there. Viva Aerobus great for changing flights on short notice if you buy the upgraded seats. Also factoring into my early return was that decent hotels in decent areas were all $110+ maybe cause I purchasing on short notice however last summer got real nice hotel for $75/ night.

If in SOCAL and want cheaper poon why not try Juarez, much closer than MTY. Hendey on Juarez thread writes all about Juarez.

My next trip either going back to CR, Colombia other than Medellin and Cartagena or deeper into MEX via Viva Aerobus. They have 2 direct flights per day from SAT with many connections in MTY to other parts of MEX.

Yes, I have heard the same about Viva Aerobus, they are exactly somewhat flexible. I can not Say the same about Volaris, they are just horrible. Any way I sworn never to fly on an Mexican Airline again.

Yep, everything is getting way more expensive. I do disagree and I have written about this a lot I think Colombia is a shit hole, you can read about it in my previous reports. It might be good for day game and low end girls, but for everything else, Mexico is way better. Not to mention Mexico is way safer.

Have been to Tijuana a number of times & am interested in visiting Monterrey. Mostly due to the rising costs of the HK hotel group hotel rooms and increase in price for the sessions with the chicas.

I've heard that Monterrey is cheaper, but the flight will be more expensive, so need more details on prices.

I prefer the clubs over escorts or massage parlors because I don't like meeting girls unseen or picking from a lineup.

The 2 clubs I've heard most about are Matehulita & Harem.

I have bad news for you. MTY is not cheap. You add In flight and hotel, I really doubt you will save any money, you might be able to negotiate longer sessions and more service, but all that takes time. MTY is nothing like Tijuana. To be successful in MTY you need to go there frequently.

GDL might be cheaper, but the quality is no were near what you get in Tijuana, not too mention the strip clubs are very expensive. I strictly use SA. There are SPAS, but they are pretty low end.

Every where is expensive now.

I'm in Monterrey just for the night, stopping on my way south. I booked a cheap hotel with a garage (unfortunately, not gated and very open to the street). Coincidentally, Cleops is on the same street a block away, so I decided to try it. Very much a Mexican wh0re house experience. I paid 1200 for the 50 minute package. Annika was a little fat for my taste, but willing to help an old man. I'm not horny or able enough to really appreciate a wh0re house (not that I ever did either). Annika claimed that she has not had any gringos, but that they do get a lot of Chinese! Apparently, they generally speak very little Spanish and have small penises. We finished about 10 minutes early and talked about her car (a newer beetle), but that she really wants a vocho (old beetle), which have a cult following here. She recommended Asador Las Diligencias which is right off the Alameda. I ate there just now -- good for carnivores.

Yes that is why I decided to fly since found a good airfare on Volaris especially on such short timeframe. More expensive but time is $ and not that I am super earner but value my time and environment / comfort.

In Costa Rica and Colombia (Eje Cafetero region only) have taken some very affordable and time efficient buses. All the immigration mess I think adds to travel times from MEX to U.S. now.

I like visit S. A. when not traveling outside USA but not for the expensive tourist places, strip clubs or riverwalk. I found a nice dance club on the north side (Club Industry) with chill vibe, cool people and people in my age bracket. However even from south Austin have to leave before 11 AM. Traffic on I35 very congested before San Marcos and New Braunfels.

I will work from my room during most of the day, do daytime MP runs then back at my hotel in the evenings to gorge on food and beer in many of the places adjacent the Instituto.

Yes the bus was cheaper but 6. 5 hours from SAT each way and I want to be safer with my computer, cash and CCs etc.

This will be my longest trip so far to MEX 6 days. Weather will be cold for MTY but low 60s and high 50s daytime much better than freeze box sexless sex felony TX!

Have fun! But you are looking at 8-9 hours now from SA now, if you take the bus. The traffic has almost doubled, the border backs up now going into Mexico. There are also major traffic jams at the toll booth now, not too mention the traffic in MTY is worse then ever.

Just after Covid ended I could still make it 51/2 hours, now usually 6-7. 5 hours.

I've never had an issue parking at the Laredo Airport long-term parking. The bus stop is right there and you take the 11 to the greyhound terminal and just walk to the border. I find this is cheapest method with parking at $5/ day and the bus ticket is $2. I've parked at the greyhound parking garage before, but it's stupidly overpriced at like $16/ day. Airport parking is uncovered though, so if your medicine is temperature sensitive then that could be an issue.

I am curious of the benefits of driving to Laredo and then taking a bus to MTY from Nuevo Laredo, if there is a direct greyhound bus from Austin to MTY is available. Costs about $50 one way.

I took it once. It was not bad at all. Just the border crossing at night was exhausting as all had to disembark, pick the luggage and stand in the long line.

This is the main problem I have with US - MX buses. Crossing the border is just inconsistent and it's always a gamble on how long it will take. I've wanted to try taking the bus to Laredo and crossing the border by foot then bus from NL to MTY. I just don't trust the consistency of the buses enough to be on time to risk it.
