    PDA 'IS' family oriented

I am pleased to see USB's and Carlos' posts on PDA. The hotel is clearly family and group kinda place. My breakfasts are usually in the restaurant, if I am solo in the morning. The tables are usually occupied by a father, a mother and a couple of kids. Otherwise, it is a basketball team or something similar.

If I have girl still with me in the morning, I order breakfast in the room. I will not take them to the restaurant because it would look nasty.

I am seriously thinking of limiting my activities to the clubs and cutting down on salidas for a while.

Monterrey is a totally different mongering venue than Pattaya, Thailand, or AC, Philippines, etc... Even TJ, Mexico, is a totally different kind of environment than MTY. All of the aforementioned places are "in your face." Everybody understands why you're there. They accomodate our activities regardless of whether we choose to flaunt them or not.

I have to admit that I'm fearful that if we're all not EXTREMELY discrete at PDA, we will have one less clean, comfortable, reasonably priced (?), "accomodating," GFE hotel to rely on.

Frankly, certain ones of us would not probably be bothered, myself, WastedG, Mr. L, Carlos, etc... We are known to Orlando, and we would undoubtedly receive special consideration. Afterall, we would be "grandfathered," as it were.

But, those of you coming to MTY in the future might find a very different reaction to your desire to bring girls to your room. So, use the utmost discretion in Monterrey, whether you choose to stay at PDA or not.

    Discretion A Must

I am sorry that I scared you guys. What is that: "Dicretion is the first part of valour?" I am a sophisticated businessman. I would not bring a woman back to my hotel for any reason. I just read all the stuff you guys wrote on here and "assumed" there was something at the PDA that I was missing. I guess I am missing it, but only because I do not have a long-term relationship with those guys. I never inquired about any extra "services" from anyone at PDA, just went there to see what you guys "attraction" was for the place. Frankly, I'm really happy at Fastos. The girls on the street or masajes have all the "facilities" I would need. After all you do not pay them for their services, you pay them to leave. I know that there is no way there could ever be any "future" with any of those girls. To think otherwise is a big mistake. Like you (Bob) have pointed out, most are unstable on a number of different levels. I am a privileged man to have found such a place as MTY. Not many men find such a place ever in this life. I will be as discrete as possible, but I will not let any girl or any club take me for a dumb gringo. i.e. take advantage of me. After all, the prices in MTY are comparable to what it costs here in the states. The overall services are better in MTY. But still, IF they are going to charge comparable prices, I will not be tricked or conned. Thanks for the time you spent explaining the PDA situation Bob. I kinda assumed that was the case.

Fact is, those venues, are solely based on mongering. That is NOT the case in Monterrey. It is a much more "underground" kind of thing. So, please keep that foremost in your mind if you're planning to visit Monterrey. Otherwise, you may be significantly disappointed. With the scene being "underground" comes additional responsibility on our parts. It requires you to conduct yourself with significantly more discretion than what we may be used to in other venues.

Five years ago, PDA was just another privately owned downtown hotel, one that was relatively obscure, fighting for its survival, thankful to have guests, vacancies usually available, even on weekends, etc...

    That has all changed!

Five years ago, there was significantly less objection at PDA to our kinds of activities going on there. At one point, the desk clerk was actually pimping girls. But, even then, it was only late at night, and it was done with considerable secrecy. He did not flaunt it in any way. He was very discrete, and he only offered the service if he knew you.

After PDA merged with Proxima Hotels, they experienced significant growth after the merger. Needless to say, shortly after the merger, the pimping desk clerk was history. They began to make a conscious effort to maintain a more legitimized image.

Don't misunderstand, their public image was always legitimized, and there was always an effort to maintain a "clean" image with respect to their reputation. These days, they're marketing plan is even stricter than five years ago, with much more "family oriented," marketing ( ie: families, kids, college functions, high schools, business travelers, even numerous female business travelers, etc...)

I have to admit that I'm fearful that if we're all not EXTREMELY discrete at PDA, we will have one less clean, comfortable, reasonably priced (?), "accomodating," GFE hotel to rely on.

Orlando is a savy dude, and I believe he will permit us to continue these activities, but only if we DO NOT threaten the image of his hotel. At this juncture, on very rare occassion, a girl that you might see in the hallway in passing, will make a pass for the obvious reasons. But, that's a VERY, VERY, RARE occurence these days, and it's certainly nothing that is sanctioned by PDA, nor is it promoted by them.

It is very important that I make something very clear. Orlando is strictly a legitimate businessman. He will assist you logistically in any way. But, he might actually be offended at anyone openly soliciting him about our kinds of activities. Such an occurrence may even put him on notice that it's time for him to clamp down.

All the hotels in MTY are going to see your activities in the same way, and the clerks and security staff do not want their jobs on the line.

As for the girls at the desk, in the past, there have been a couple of girls working there that are attractive, cute, friendly, funny, helpful, etc...I have a few girls there that are friends, and some of them may even suspect that I am up to something on my visits to MTY...they aren't stupid...but...

They do not have any direct knowledge of my activities. I am very discrete. The desk girls are all legitimate working girls. If they do suspect the nature of my true reason for being in MTY, it is because they have normal female suspicions, but most of them have no direct knowledge that I am up to anything. There have been a few that work the night shift that have seen me bring a girl back, but I have made friends of them. Certainly, they know what I'm up to, but they have accepted the "Dumb Gringo."

They have always acted friendly toward me, but I believe it's strictly because they've known me a long time, and I've formed friendships with them. Plus they know they will never, ever, recieve another homemade cookie were they to treat me badly. So, I am virtually untouchable...just kidding. They have accepted me per se. But, were I to flaunt my activities, I suspect their attitudes toward me would change significantly.

Frankly, it's one reason I changed hotels. I was becoming too well known for my own comfort level. Enough time has passed now that I would probably be virtually unknown to most of the desk girls on duty during the day, except for the office staff. I changed hotels primarily because the majority of the staff at PDA is primarily female at night. WastedG says I should come back, but Orlando would probably have to put on male night clerks in order for me to consider making a change back to PDA at this juncture.

So, I changed hotels about a year ago. I prefer to sneak girlfriends past a male night clerk and up to my room than to suffer the walk of shame in front of a twenty year old girl, even if she is a friend of mine. But, even then, even if I were to take a girlfriend past a female night clerk, I would be extremely discrete. I don't want any of them to get any heat over allowing my kinds of activities.

As Carlos mentioned, there are a handful of "accepting" hotels in MTY. Frankly, with most of the hotels that are similar in type and size to PDA, I suspect you could sneak a girl past the night clerks, and if done discretely, I doubt you would have a problem doing it one time. But, if you try that night after night, wild orgies, two or three girls at a time, two or three girls a day, similar to what you get away with in Pattaya or AC, you will NOT be welcome in the hotels of MTY. Just a word to the wise.

Ken, please be aware that the Plaza del Arco is just a normal hotel, one that is adequate and well place for mongering.
Do not even think for a second there is action there.
I am openly and with all due respect going to tell you, do not even try to hit on the girls at the front desk or you might ruin one of the few remaining girl friendly hotels here in Monterrey (there are no more than 4 now).

    Off the road

Well, my experience? Hmmm. I lived in Louisville, Kentucky for about 8 years. The clubs and "spas" there were pretty liberal. Especially the asian spas. $100 could get you anything you wanted there. I was in Lima a couple of years ago. There was some "activitiy" there but nothing as consentrated as MTY. Just within a 5 block area of my hotel there in MTY was endless "opportunities". Even during a holiday weekend! I enjoyed the "street girls" selling their "quartos"; I also loved the masajes. The variety of chicas in those places was crazy. Bob, I would like to know the "special features" of PDA? I got thrown out of Tangalay on Sunday night because the girl was all over me. She would not stop kissing me and feeling me up. After one hour she was talking marriage and introducing me to her family. Just like you said. I kept spending money on her and finally they showed me the door. Is that the reason Infinito is better? The one girl at Infinito that I took upstairs let me do anything I wanted and I just called her off the stage during the "cattle call" time. I had never talked to her or anything. Just a crook of my finger and then she said. Que quieres? Anyways, I could talk about this forever. Bob, I relied a lot on your posts for my info. Thanks! By the way, I did not see very many gringos at all during my visit. I do not think there is going to be a big influx anytime soon. MTY is a place that you have to go to, not a place on the way to anywhere. Anyways, thanks.

I alway like to hear from guys who try MTY for the first time but also have experience in other venues, especially experience in other places like the PI, Thailand, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Columbia, etc..., places that are austensibly better than Mexico, and by association, Monterrey.

I also enjoy hearing the comparison between TJ and Monterrey from guys that have visited both venues. If you only have experience in the USA, then nothing in the US will compare, period.

MTY will effect you like a drug the first time. If you overdose on MTY, you will sure die, if not literally, then figuratively, even from a short period of seperation :-) You can't eat just one...get it? You'll be back, like a magnet and steel.

I would not recommend going to MTY during the holiday season. Many of these girls are from outside of MTY. Some are from far outside of MTY. Many of them return to their home towns for the holidays to visit family members that have NO IDEA what they do for a living, and only see them once or twice a year. So, it seems to me after having talked to a number of the girls over the years, that the girls take this opportunity to live a relatively "normal" family life existence, at least for a couple of weeks each year anyway.

    Mentirosa ...

    Que le vamos a hacer
    Si la vida es así
Le aposte todo a tus besos
    Y así todo lo perdí
    No me pidas perdón
Que ni tú te lo crees
    Esas lágrimas son falsas
    Como falso fue tu amor
    Pero no me digas nada
Que el tonto he sido yo
Si la luna no es de queso
    Ni las nubes de algodón
    Para que seguir con cuentos
    Con amores de ficción
Si tu boca no es de fresa
Ni en tus ojos sale el sol
    Mentirosa, traicionera
Y yo que daba por ti la vida entera
    Mentirosa, embustera
    Basta ya de tantos gritos
    Este cuento se acabo

    Para que decir más
    Si todo termino
    Todo lo que sube baja
    Todo lo que viene va
    No me pidas perdón
Que ni tú te lo crees
    Vete por donde llegaste
    Y ojala te vaya bien
    Pero no me digas nada
Que el tonto he sido yo
Si la luna no es de queso
    Ni las nubes de algodón
    Para que seguir con cuentos

    Basta ya de tantos gritos
    Este cuento se acabo

    Mentirosa, traicionera
Y yo que daba por ti la vida entera
    Mentirosa, embustera
Yo contigo no regresó aunque me muera
    Mentirosa, traicionera
Y yo que daba por ti la vida entera

as i waited in the 'special' room, they were making phone calls asking why the hell was i sent to them. they would say something like mr. soandso has been referred to us but he should not have been or something to that extent. my attitude was extremely casual. i was singing mana’s “labios compartidos”. i had nothing to worry about and this may have driven them crazy too. my record is propably cleaner than any of the officers there. i have nothing against me.

finally, what seems to be a very gentle officer, or he acted like he was, asks to follow him. as we made out way through customs, he asked me if i am bringing any prescription drugs 'again'. “hell no”, i said. any live or dead animals? no, any other junk, i said the only thing i bring back with me was the air that i breathed and the dust on my shoes.

so he walks me out and says 'welcome back, sir'.

that's when i stopped him and asked why the heck am i being stopped, twice, especially since the last officer said he would put a note in my file so they would not bother me again, he said "the prescription drug story came up again".

the lady who stopped me the first time way back said she would let me go and she let me keep my vitamins. but she also said if she confirep001ed them, i would be marked for life and i would be searched every time i return to the us. bullshit.

i asked the officer if i could get a copy of my record. he says i cannot tell you what's in your file but there is nothing bad. however, the freedom act thingy allows me to request a copy of my file. he gave me a sheet of paper with instructions about how to file a request. no need. i now know what they’re looking for.

i will buy them in mty and keep them there from now on. it is not worth the 5 minutes delay they put me through. especially since i am not blond with blue eyes.

every single page of my passport has at least 4 méxico entry stamps and the same for us stamps. i was asked once if i lived in mexico. i wish i did.

another previous stop was in san antonio. the officer claimed he was doing a survey. right. he searched every item n my bags. nothing.

oh yeah, they also asked me, every time, if i meat anyone down there, as soon as i say, “carlos”, they handcuffed me... not. (just kidding)

is this trouble worth 3 or 8 days in mty? for all i care, they can hold me for 24 hours as long as i get to feast on my “s”, “p”, “j”, “?”, “n” and my “x”, who else? oh yean, the new “b”/ i know i have more but can not keep track. this will give me time to plan my next trip.

    Marked for life

if you guys recall our discussion on bringing back smurf pills back into he us. i was caught once, ages ago, but let go and kept my pills. lately and during my last couple of trips, the immigration officer would hand me a brown folder, sticks my passport in it and directs me to a special room where they would casually interrogate me. nothing scary but definitely annoying.

last couple of trips, i asked the officer why they have me here, again? he says "you've been here before?" yes, and for no reason. the 'honest' officer said he would put a note in my file so they would not bother me again. one time i stopped there for 5 hours returning back from tj even before the v pills incident. turns out they had me envisaged all the way up to washington d.c.

in tj, one immigration officer started cleaning a fan with a napkin. with all the dust still on the fan, he preceded to pint the fan at me and just about o turn it on so all the dust would blow back at me. i yelled “what the hell are you doing dude?” he goes “oh, so now you can speak english, ha? i will give me garbage just like you mexicans bring us your garbage.” another officer nudges him and say, “idiot, he is a us citizen.” turned out the confused me with another mexican who was there as well.

    New Year's Eve.

And today was absolutely dead. There's about 10% attendance. Both customers and girls. One of our mutual lady-friends "In" (Carlos’ angry one) kept me company for a little while then I decided it is time to return to my hotel since I have my "X" girl coming over for the night.

Last night was extremely fun for me. I was taking my "X" out and decided to get her another girl as my new year's gift to her. She chose one that I had the hots for but never took out. To make the story short, I never knew how fixable my body was until last night. The girls fell in love with each other and I almost blew my top off.

Then returned with them to the “I” place and stayed until 4 am. Not a single dull moment with them lovelies (as Happy George would say)

I still love how the girls in the booths call out my name when I go upstairs. I can not see them too well so I do not know who is calling. But it’s like a man’s fantasy “where everybody knows your name”

    Happy New Year All.

The girls were busy and were not willing to negotiate. But why should they when it's like this. I knew the situation before I left but this was the only free time I had.
