Been living and traveling throughout Mexico 6 months visa-free. I'm currently residing in Monterrey. Considering doing the border crossing. This will be my 1st time doing this.
All things considered, is it safe to leave via Nuevo Laredo, spend a night or 2 in Laredo, then re-enter for another 6 months, or should I simply fly and make a round-trip?
Yours and anyone else's advice & guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and looking forward to the replies.
Safe during the day, you need to be careful at night.
Yes, all passengers exit bus when crossing into Nuevo Laredo. Collect all carry-on and checked luggage. All foreign passengers are issued a (free) permit. Reload luggage. Total process takes a lightning quick 20 minutes.
(Same process when re-entering Texas takes 30-35 minutes).
Thanks for taking the time to read this message.

I'm putting the finishing touches on a massive, highly-detailed report regarding my recent time in Monterrey. If all goes according to plan, I'll post it in this forum Saturday evening. Once it's approved by the moderators, you all should be able to read it late Saturday night or Sunday morning.
So I recently had a Uber canceled since I did not have my mask on. Then Uber made me take a picture verifying I had a mask. Total be. S, I was also charged the Cancellation fee, it was reversed, but total Drama.
So based on the forum posts that I have read. It seems as though you cannot get these girls into a hotel or airbnb as a newbie. So, how would one get started if you can't do it from the beginning. I am aware of the likes of Hotel 500 I think it was but I was hoping for something like the NH that DramaFree mentions.
DramaFree is the Royal still an option and if so any reason why you stopped using them. It looked nice.
No I tell all girls, my price includes 2 sessions, 2-3 hours of fun. They complani at first, but 90% of the time say no problem.
Thanks for the info!
I will be flying to MTY next week on Wednesday and probably spending a week there. If anyone is interested in dinner or a drink, I would love to talk shop regarding Seeking. Shoot me a PM.
Thank you all for the quick help. I decided I won't be taking my car to MTY. The bus isn't an option because I'm fairly tall and the last time I took the greyhound a year or two ago, my knees were stiff from the lack of legroom. I will research a car rental and see if it makes financial sense (either from Austin or rent from Nuevo Laredo).
At DramaFree11.
I noticed that in your recent posts in this thread, you mentioned that you no longer stay at hotels. Great decision. Even last year before covid, I had such a hard time sneaking a girl into my hotel (Safi Hotel near downtown). Are you staying at Airbnb's or is there another type of app that you use for your stays? Thanks!
Regarding Seeking / twitter / etc. I've been deceived so many times with fake photos etc during my years in California, that I ended up deleting all the dating apps. The convenience of going to HK or any of the bars in Tijuana, grabbing a drink, and being able to scope out the chicks and then approach and start talking to them in less than 15 minutes was a game changer. No more swipe apps. No more fake profiles. None of that sh* So moving on, when I'm in Tijuana, and I scope out a chick, we talk for a bit and drink together, then it naturally leads to the hotel upstairs. How does that translate in the world of Seeking? Do you match with a girl and then invite her to the hotel, or is dinner / drinks beforehand expected? Seeking sounds like it would be ideal for me because I prefer the non-pro women. The women that look like I would date them in real life, not the ones that have been working in Hong Kong for 5+ years with a handful of surgeries.
I meet the girls either for a coffee, a drink or lunch. If it goes well I go up to the room. I have started staying at the NH again, I worked out a deal with management suite, but I am very careful bring the girls up. I rotate between Hotel and Airbnb, I do not want to burn bridges, I have good relations at all the places I'm staying.
Never taken the bus before from Houston. Do they make you get off the bus in NL to get your tourist permit?

Yes, the hotel is an issue now. I would not do Airbnb, until you know girls. They won't come over at first Airbnb. More complicated, but you can do it.
Options to avoid 400 usd (ouch! From SAT-MTY here are my Austin input. 1.) Greyhound from Austin leaves 4 pm arrives MTY 1 am, with someone else driving that 9 hours breezes by. 2.) Drive to Laredo and park and take a OmniBus or Noreste Bus rest of way to MTY. Both brands have frequent departures.
I personally DO NOT take my personal car to MTY due to hassles and fees of obtaining temp permit to drive into central Mexico. Once my bus arrives Uber is abundant and dirt cheap to get any where. Some ISGers may challenge me on this. Another heads up, if parking in Laredo, find a friend because the official Bridge parking is 15 usd / day (super ouch! McAllen only charges 7 day.
Yes clubs are closed, MTY main tool is Seeking Arr or Twitter. Skim this thread as other ISGers will have recent intel. Theres also massage parlors operating during lockdowns, and I am writing up a separate report on dos donts.
One great thing with MTY is pre covid was a gateway to Central South America for dirt cheap compared to USA. 500 to Buenos Aires or 230 to Bogota. I hope covid didn't ruin this forever because that was awesome. Those rates not available currently HOWEVER if you need an alt monger trip from ATX, Spirit has sub250 rt to Bogota out of either Houston IAH or Dallas DFW. (Spirit=bags and oxygen extra).
*useless note=I am typing this on a grey market Korean imported phone and the dollar symbol and other sulymbols taken for granted is not available and its messing me up.
