Well I have reported in this section about my last 2 motorcycle trips to Morelia, so I figured I would report again - this time with photos!!!

On Saturday, I left Queretaro with a buddy from my motorcycle group. We wanted to do a little ride through the Sierra Mil Cumbres (thousand mountain peaks) in Michoacan to Morelia. The ride was extremely beautiful and uneventful.

The old bus terminal (el viejo Central Camionera) is on the street "Eduardo Ruiz." Ok, now you are facing the old bus terminal. At the end of the right side of the terminal there's a side street. I took a trip to Morelia (and then down to Ixtapa) last week during the "Semana Santa."

I got to do a little sight seeing and Morelia is really a great city for that.

I recently visited Morelia and had a great time. It's definitely a place I would visit again. Thanks very much to Supertomcat, Cupido Morboso and the other posters for the details that were so useful. This has been one of my favorite groups, and I hope that a new post will remind others to visit and/or to post their experiences.

A special thanks to Miller2k, the most informative of all. I had a chance to talk with him while I was there, and though our schedules didn't mesh for a meeting, I much appreciate his hospitality and generosity.

All of the previously-posted options are still available. In addition, a taxista told me about a "casa de citas" that had recently begun operation. As it turns out, I didn't try it out, but I am looking forward to a return trip in which I plan to give it a look-see, and maybe more ;-)

The SW area on Heroes de Nocupetaro is mainly between Juan Alvarez and Guillermo Prieto. At least that's where the hotel is; I saw SWs on the blocks to either side, too. The girls were out from 6:30pm on, but they told me that the area is taken over by the guys after 9:00pm, which is earlier than was reported before.

I'm sad to report that Manhattan was not the great experience for me that it seems to have been for earlier posters. All strip clubs are vaccuums for the wallet, but my previous trips to Mexican ones were much better value for the dollar. Prices are similar to what was posted before: 30 to get in, 45 for a beer, 75 for her drink, or 150 for a "double" for her. The girls seemed to be local talent - I saw no sign of South American imports.

Private dances are 160 for 3 minutes, or 600 for 15 minutes. Going upstairs is possible, but expensive, and I didn't try it. I was disappointed when the stripper didn't get completely nude for the private dance, as they had in other Mexican places I had been, and I left. For what it's worth, the taxista said that Excesso was the best place now. Of course that could mean that he gets a tip for bringing in clientele, but the fact is that I don't know. It's right across the street from Manhattan.

The services advertise in the newspaper La Voz, about 8 of them in the copy I bought. I tried Virgin, on advice from Miller2k. He warned me that I'd likely have to send a couple back (at 100 a pop), and I certainly did. I asked on the phone for a "delgadita", a slim girl. I was asked "delgadita o flaquita?", that is "slim or skinny?". We joked about not wanting to see bones, and I was satisfied that they knew what I wanted. Morelia - Motorcycle trip (5/29)

Drove from Queretaro to Morelia on Saturday on my motorcycle this past Saturday, and boy, Michoacan really is a beautiful state. The views of the hills and mountains are great.

While in Morelia, I stayed in the Hotel Casino (Best Western) right across from the Cathedral. Paid $800 pesos (taxes included) Really nice outside restaurant with lots of women walking by. I think the women in Morelia are prettier than the women of Queretaro. They seem more approachable also, as I got a few looks of approval.

Since I was a little tired after a 3 hour drive (took a wrong turn in Acambaro), and it was still too early for the strip clubs to be open, I had the bellboy call a couple of advertisements in the newspaper and find me a "date" for the early evening.

There were 3 levels of pricing:

Around $600 pesos for the nothing special looking girls
$800 pesos for better looking women
and $1000 for "model quality"
