I have visited Puerto Vallarta and Cozumel numerous times over the years, as I am a scuba diver. However, I have also been to those places during the summer and, for me, the weather is unbearable.

Since I have reached a point in my career where I can afford to take January through April off each year and since I live in the frigid north, I have decided to look seriously at the central Mexican plains area for possible yearly winter residence. I intend to be in Guadalajara, Lake Chapala, and San Miguel De Allende during February and March.

Having been divorced for double digit years and not in a hurry to do it again….I find mongering [when not in a monogamous relationship] to be an entertaining and fun distraction.

I have enjoyed mongering in Cuba, Argentina, Costa Rica, coastal Mexico and Europe. I am looking forward to checking out the central Mexican scene and will continue to follow your posts.

After a night of debauchery, I have two favorite spots that are open all night.

If I am anywhere near downtown, I MUST stop into La Burbuja, which is a half block down from the old bus terminal. I recommend the Cochinita Pibil and the Tacos al Pastor, along with a bag full of free totopos. Mmmmmm!!! Nothing hits the spot like a nice, starchy late-night meal after a night of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. Also, La Burbuja has an entertaining assortment of clients, ranging from Rancheros to transvestites to street performers (and even, one time, a table of clowns!). Prices are a bit steep (10 pesos per taco), but the portions are big and the food is delicious beyond belief.

Another good late night eatery is called Hamburguesas Gigantes right on the Periferico (where most of the strip clubs are located), almost directly across the street from the Mirage. Again, the tacos al pastor and the burrito al pastor are my favorites. It's not as good as La Burbuja, but its pretty damn good when its late at night and the embrace of a hot stripper is still in your short-term memory.

By the way, I'd like to say hello to the fellow gringo who was finishing up at Hamburguesas Gigantes as I was arriving Saturday night. He was a middle-aged guy with a beautiful chica that looked almost too young. I shook his hand and gave him THE nod as he was taking his chica with him for what would surely be a great night. He may be one of you guys and, if he is, then why the hell don't you report on what happened with your young, young pretty thing? I would surely like to know...

There are other late-night restaurants here in Morelia, but I thought I'd share my two favorites with y'all. The food is great in both places and, in over 7 years here, I've never gotten sick once at either of these places.

saturday, i stopped by two clubs that i don't normally visit, just to see what's what.

my first stop was bar continental, a lower-end club that had 12-15 girls there, as far as i could see. no 10's, but some decent chicas and a few fuglies- including an obese mama in a skin-tight leotard (yikes!). the place itself is kinda dirty and i guess you could call it a dive. there were 3 chicas there that really caught my eye: karlie, a thin, dark-haired beauty who had a great "down-home" charm; carla, a voluptious dish-water blonde who had a great body and face and; a beautiful, light-brown haired spinner with a golden tan and a look of a spoiled bad girl (i can't recall her name).

i passed on karlie just because i wanted to see what else was out there. i passed on carla because she was too mercenary and refused to even talk about a salida until i bought her a drink. i never got a chance to speak with the spinner because she was snatched up immediately after doing her routine on stage. i left soon after that to see what else could be had in the area.

bar continental is typical strip club fare: 3 songs on stage with the last song being the one where they get completely nude.

prices were: 25 pesos for a beer
100 pesos for a chica drink
350 for a pitcher of chica drinks
100 pesos for a privado (there was a 2 for 1 special all night)
500 pesos to the house for a salida (but they will drop it to 350)
700-1000 pesos for an hour with the chica, off premises (this is
highly negotiable)
350 for the house if you take the chica upstairs
700-1000 for sex with the chica on the premises

next, i went to bar climaxxx, which is next to the continental, and nothing has changed there. it is still the wildest of all the clubs on the periferico. and when i say "wild" i mean it in terms of drunken fist fights and bottles flying through the air. the last 3 times i've gone here, fights have broken out and tonight was no different.

now don't get me wrong. i like a nice bar fight as much as the next guy, but i had on a new shirt, so i left after about 30 minutes of chaos wrapped around the occasional stripper. besides, i didn't see one chica worth doing in the place, so i jetted.

i think the problem with bar climaxxx is that the stage is almost on ground level and it snakes along the various tables; tables, which by the way, are so packed in that bottles are constantly being shattered as they get knocked off them. the tables are packed together so tight that its almost impossible to move without bumping into another table.

personally, i like the idea that the stage is ground level and the chicas do their routine as they walk around the tables, but there may be some psycholgical element about it that makes people less respectful of the show and more likely to get involved in side "issues." by the way, the beer costs 25 pesos and the chica drink 100 pesos; privadas cost 100 pesos, but they were also offering 2 for 1. salidas are also available, but there weren't any girls there worth taking out.

next, i crossed the street and walked the half block to mirage, which was by far the best club i visited that night. the place was packed with hot chicas and also packed with horny guys. there are always quite a few chicas at the mirage with fakes breasts- imports from guadalajara- and also a good selection of natural, thin chicas.

salidas are available, but very expensive. i was quoted 1,500 pesos to the club and 1,500 for the chica, but i know that that price is highly negotiable and you can get that price down as far as 50% with the right approach. they also have fs on premise in a room upstairs for 750 pesos to the house and 1,500 for the chica, but, again, that price is highly negotiable.

prices were much higher here than in the other two bars, but rightfully so:

45 pesos for a beer
100 or 150 for the chica drink
130 for a privada

the mirage makes you have a tab and doesn't let you pay as you order, like the other places. this makes it harder for you just to pop in to see what's what.

my favorite part of the night was when i was sitting with a chica here, named tabitha (a smoking hot brunette from guadalajara) who was being critical of one specific chica who had a lot of cosmetic work done. i asked her if she had had any cosmetic surgery and she insisted "no, no. i don't need it." she showed me her breasts to prove the point. later, as she was giving me a privada she had to come clean with what i knew all along- that she had fake boobs. i guess she had to confess because i was about to suck on one of her nipples and i could see a bit of a scar as well as feel the weight of the fake boobs in my hands. why would she even lie about that when she knew i'd get my hands on those things soon enough...

after i left the mirage i decided to take one for the team and call one of those 300 peso escorts that advertise in la voz. i was curious to see how good a 300 peso escort was.

i checked myself into the motel paris (150 pesos), which is around the corner from bar climaxxx and called 'em up. 20 mins later i got "the" knock and opened the door. she was ok, but nothing amazing. she was like a cleaner, less strung-out version of the street girls on heroes the nocupetaro street, behind the old bus terminal.

she gave me a decent bj and then i proceeded to hump her. i took awhile since i had been drinking, but i had a decent time. she wasn't neccesarily a clock-watcher, but after i finished she was getting changed and speed-walking out the door. i didn't care, though, as she wasn't all that great a conversationalist anyway.

the service was called chiquititas and they also have "modelos" at a price of 700 per hour. all in all, i got my 300 pesos worth, which isn't saying all that much. i probably would never call them again despite not having a bad time.

so, that was my saturday night on the prowl.

I am a lazy monger. Yes, that's right I'm a bad, lazy monger because I settle into a groove and stick with it, thereby limiting my mongering options. Recently I've been too faithful to my pack of regular chicas and have let the other mongering possibilities in Morelia go un-utilized.

However, I'm in the process of changing this and decided to back-peddle a bit and visit a place that I hadn't visited in about 4 years.

The place is called "Masajes Sharon" and its an MP in a residential neighborhood. I had only visited one time before, 4 years ago, and I believe there was only one woman available when I went- and she wasn't all that great, so I put "Sharon" on the back-burner and turned towards other options.

Anyway, I decided to give ol' Sharon another try and boy oh boy was I impressed! I called earlier in the day because appointments are recommended and was given the directions. Upon arriving at the gate of the regular, residential house, I saw a cute blonde head peak her head from behind a curtain. "Nice," I thought to myself, only to be pleasantly surprised again when I saw the rest of her. Her name was Monse and she was a tall blonde, with a good body and an ass to die for! She looked to be in her late twenties or early thirties and well preserved with a nice, short haircut and did I mention her ass?

Monse led me past another chica (younger and a bit chunkier, but with an adorable face and a thicker, but not that fat body. Very doable) and into one of the massage rooms. The room was standard with a massage table, various oils and creams and mood music. However, a minus was that there was no shower or private bathroom in the room. Upon entering, Monse gave me the 411. 200 pesos for the massage, 200 extra for her to get naked, 100 for a hand job, 550 for a BJ and 800 for FS. Everything had to be with a condom and the FS was unlimited and various positions until I popped.

They prefer that you make an appointment. I recommend that appointment for between 11 and 2 or between 5 and 8 in order to be sure that all the girls are present.

The place itself is easily accessible because the street Paseo del Eucalipto is a decent-sized street and taxis pass often. Remember, though, to be respectful and quiet since the place is just a regular house in a residential neighborhood and I'm sure they don't want problems with the neighbors.

Monse told me that 5 girls currently work there. I saw three of them, including mine, and was very impressed. These girls were all very attractive and, best of all, they didn't have that "hooker look" to them. They all looked like regular, albeit sexier, girls and were dressed in regular street clothes. Man, I can't wait to sample the rest of them!

All in all I had a great time at Sharon's and I'm glad I took the time to go back to a place that I had mistakenly left for dead so long ago.

i was out and about on friday and didn't see a thing, but such things happen from time to time and are nothing to be taken seriously, unless you happen to have drugs on you when they raid a club; in that case, you are screwed!

these raids are done, supposedy, to sweep for drugs and **** girls, but they are really a way for the authorities to flex their mucles (and, often, up the ante with regards to the amount of hush money the clubs are paying them.)

Agreed. But you are comparing a large, afluent and monger-heavy city like Monterrey to a smaller and less-monger"centric" city like Morelia; also you are comparing MP prices with Escort prices, basically because we really don't have much of a MP scene here. I would like to see more of a MP scene in Morelia just to balance everything out. Right now there are a couple of places, but nowhere near what larger cities like Monterrey and Guadalajara have.

It all boils down to what I posted earlier that the mongers in Morelia, for the most part, are too naive about mongering. Maybe the lack of foreign sex tourism contributes to the fact that things can get frustrating for the newcomer. You know as well as I do that most guys who go to a strip club here in Morelia don't even consider a salida. Therefore, salidas are unusual occurences and the chicas, as well as the club owners, tend to overcharge for these services.

Also, as a Morelia expert, you know that familiarity tends to trump all barriers here. Being a known entity opens up your possibilities for better service at a better price.

When I first started coming here, I plainly could not get a salida at a club. Then, I was quoted outrageous amounts for a salida. Now, after 7 years of laying groundwork and making some connections, I can get saildas at somewhat decent prices, but it definitely came as a function of me being the "loco gringo who wanted to take the chicas out of the club, but was harmless and a good customer."

Part of the charm that Morelia has for me, has to do with the fact that there aren't a lot of hard-core foreign mongers; the place seems a bit more innocent than other venues. However, that same "innocence" sometimes makes it hard for the new guy to come in and get what he wants at a decent price unless he has great game and/or a good amount of time to really become a known entity.

Plus, the non-pro action is awesome. All that, and the fact that they just opened a Starbucks here ( ), makes Morelia more than just alright in my book. BJ's, awesome weather AND iced coffee? What could be sweeter? LOL
