Does Nogales have a street girl scene and is this town worth the trip down from Phoenix?

I made the trip from Phx to Nogales a couple times for reasons other than mongering. If you just want to monger, it is definitely NOT worth it. The two clubs there are putrid, the SG scene is terrible, prices are high. You will be tremendously disappointed if you make the drive just to monger. Los Algodones is about the same distance away and I would say it is probably better than Nogales. Nogales is better than SLC though. Make the drive to Mexicali or Tijuana if you want to monger.

I've mongered in Nogales more than a half dozen times and want to share the following observations to help anyone who is considering making a trip:

Obsessions is a strip club right across the border. You'll see some decent looking women there but you will pay out the nose to have sex with one. Also, the drinks are not cheap especially the fichas which were $10-12. I forget the exact amount. 69 strip club is more of the same.

I used to regularly stay at Hotel San Carlos but they have recently become chica unfriendly which sucks because there are a few motels across from it that have chicas standing in front every night. Mil pesos is the going rate and it was so convenient to just walk one to my room at Hotel San Carlos. The chicas range from ugly to average, but there is an occasional gem.

Just to the right as you walkout of Hotel San Carlos is Salon Regis which caters to the local crowd. Don't shy away because it is an awesome bar with cheap beer, E. G. 25 peso Coronas. Also, there are working girls there every night with steadily increasing selection which peaks on Saturday nights. Most are no fly zone for me but you'll see an occasional 8..

Good report. Never been to Nogales or that side of mexico. I usually go either rocky point, but mostly baja like Rosarito and ensenada (not for mongering, but just to relax). Is Nogales pretty safe as far as general safety goes? Like if I park my car for a couple nights at the hotel there will it still be there in the morning? The bar you mention which is The Garage, is that mostly locals? Any tension from local dudes for trying to talk to local girls being a gringo, etc? I imagine English would be somewhat common there being a border town with lots of ties to Arizona.

Go back and read my previous reports. In at least one report, I provide an overview of the street scene. Whether it is worth the drive from Phoenix, not unless you know what you're doing. It's just not as straightforward and simple as Tijuana.

I agree with your point but to be honest I enjoy not seeing swarms of mongers around. I usually see just older day trippers going to the dentists and pharmacies. It's just me and the locals on weeknights which is fine by me. I'm looking forward to heading down the second half of next week.

Sonora is more conservative than Baja. This is what I've been told anyways. I used to think the same thing. Not sure if true but does make sense. Moe.

I agree TT86! When shit like this happens there's not much you can do but learn from the mistake. I live in SD and go to Tijuana all the time but it's always a no no when someone bum rushes me on the street wanting to take me to an MP or a new bar. The best thing to do is learn the reputable places and people. I know Tijuana is different than some of the other border towns but most of the people in these towns are the same. Moe.

Yeah I'm hoping to get some time three or four weeks to go back to Tijuana. I head a blast away Hong Kong, and there are two other truckers who have never been that I'm trying to convince to give it shot.
