what's the latest on ease of crossing the border? I haven't been down to mexico in about a year. If I cross some time at night (walking) and head to the strip bars, or la conga and then head back by myself is anyone going to give me a hard time?

Update on co-worker's brother's nogales adventure......

Even though he is Mexican-American, it seems that he is one of those macho, noisy, asshole visitors that can't handle his liquor. I never said I hated Mexico, it is just not one of my favorite places. I think overall the people are very nice there. I got set-up once, I am more careful now. I have been robbed in the states as well. I have not blamed ALL of the citizens of Mexico, nor would I ever........I just try to be more aware of my surroundings, thats all.

I have a wonderful attitude, I am not macho, I am not pushy, I am not loud, am always respectful and I always act as a guest when in ANY country I visit.

I had a very unfortunate incident in Mexico that scarred my face for life (160 stitches), I have been back since then, I will go back again, but there are alot of other countries that I have visited since then that I would prefer over Mexico any day. That is my personal opinion.

I commend you on not having to go through what I have and I hope you never have to. Like I said, I had a few too many drinks, became a target and I am sure it was an isolated event.

Oh well.....anyway......I will be back to sample some of what Mexico has to offer, just gathering some info before going.....

But blaming your bad experience on everyone in a country of 100 million is like saying I had a car wreck once, so I'll never drive again.

Maybe your attitude gets you in trouble. I've been whorin around Mexico for 30 years, and never, ever, had a problem. However I always behave like a guest in "their" country, am always respectful, and make a point to show respect.

And I show respect to a *****, or avoid her. But I never give her any shit.....They have too many big friends.

And I never, ever, act macho. That is their deal, and like all virile young macho bullies, they love a challenge. Don't try to proove anything when there. Especially in a ***** house. Just chill out, be polite, and enjoy all their great pussy.

Another tip is to not go to clubs with inadequate security. Here in Matamoros, the good clubs always frisk you when you enter. That is a good sign. And watch the big sholder guys who don't act like waiters. They are the bouncers. If you don't see any, then get the fuck out of there. Two or three big bouncers should always be present. They are paid to be there for two reasons. First to protect the girls from you, (in a good club), and second, to protect you the good customer, from other rowdy customers.

Most all the problems I've seen in mexico, were caused by gringos fighting gringos, or arrogant gringos insulting *****s or waiters. One drunk idiot actually was stupid enough to slap a ***** in a joint in Reynosa last month. What the mexican bouncers did to that big shot wasn't pretty...

But you don't have to let a dishonest waiter rip you off either. If he's short changing you, or whatever, just ask for the gerente, (manager). Don't argue too much over a few bucks. Just explain the problem to the manager, and if he does'nt solve it, get up and leave. Then post it on this board, and we will all boycott the fuckin place. And if someone happens to know the owner, or manager, then chances are that little fuckin waiter is going to be reported, and he will get the kick shitted out of him. (That's how the owners deal with corrupt waiters).

The girls are there to suck your dick and fuck you, for only a few dollars. And most know what's expected of them, and are ready, willing, and able to do their job.

Mexico is not a dangerous country. Just remember your a guest in their country, show a little respect, and enjoy all their beautiful young cheap pussy.

I was in Nogales yesterday (Tuesday, 6/19/02). I went down around noon and walked down Obregon looking for the street action that allegedly (sp?) exists there. I found none, probably because the time of day was wrong. I expect that SW's are more of a night-time phenomenon. I stopped at Cherries for a few beers and a gander at the the gals on stage. Traveller - Conga seems to be open when the other bars in town are open. As to when there are women there, though, probably best after 6 maybe 7 (I was in at 3 or so and found 1 (yes ONE) girl, somewhat hungry looking asked me how much I was willing to spend, declined (spoke Inglais). Well.......I must admit, there is a certain attraction to the danger element. I guess because I experienced it firsthand in Mexico, that is why I hate Mexico so much.....But, as you can see, I am asking about specifics, which means I obviously am planning on going back....lol...Danger? Stupidity?? I am not sure which. My only words of warning are to be aware of your surroundings, thats all......Do I look like a victim? I am probably naive in my approach to border towns. Thanks for your story, there are predators out there. I've never been physically threatened but I should be more aware of the danger that exists. Maybe its the danger I'm attracted to
In any case, La Conga is a friendly safe place. A taxi ride to and from should ensure a good time.
