I live in Socal but I've been hearing and seeing on the news so much about TJ, that trip is out of the question. So the next best thing is Nogi or Puerto Peñasco. The cops in Nogi do they look to hassle and haggle people for no reason? Because if so that kinda makes me think twice about going. I forgot to mention that my mission for Saturday was to find Agua Prieta prices in Nogi and to see if I could also find a 2 for 1 special. I myself have never had a problem and I go there day and night. Just do your business don't get excessively drunk,( a drunk person is a target for the cops) always know where the cops are for your peace of mind, not that they are a problem it's just better to be safe than sorry, respect the law and learn the customs and you will be fine.

I'm thinking about going there in January and I was looking for any tips about Nogi or any other spot in Sonora that might be a good place to visit. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to find a spot to go to that is close by, since Sonora is the nearest state in Mexico I figure go and check it out. Usually when I arrive, I give Sergio my bag and some money while he gets me my room. He negotiates in spanish and saves me the Americano upcharge. When I arrive it is usually around 11pm in the evening. Why? I am too old (40) to drink all day, besides when I get there some other poor sucker has paid the expensive ficha drinks, and I can tell which girl has drank the most based upon the number of bracelets that they get for each ficha drink. If you look at the pictures I will try to post, you will see the bracelets that I am talking about. These girls all know how to party and are not afraid of kicking it up a notch or two if provided the right incentive. The funny thing about prices in Nogales is that they have not gone down, on the surface that is. Inside the clubs they still try to charge you $180 FS, but they are much more negotiable now, not only the girls but management as well. The best you can do is $150 in most TDs, some are getting creative and not charging you for taking the girl out of the club (no house fee)

I went to Nogi Saturday to have some fun, got it then some.

The entrances to the strip clubs hugging the railroad tracks where Boleiro is are closed off you will need to go around by VIP and and use the back entrance to the clubs. Local cops were everywhere and made me nervous but everything was cool, no problems with the policia.

On another point I believe I touched on a previous post was that the city of Nogales Sonora was trying to remove the strip clubs from their current location and keep it a historic zone, but now with the flood damage there is renewed talk of removing the buildings that make up are favorite locations from Cherries, Lord Black, Boleiro all the way to VIP completely demolishing them and moving the water run off channel that is now damaged right where our favorite hangouts presently reside. The talk is they want to move them to New Nogales, that's over by the Nogales Mall about a 15 to 20 minute drive into the heart of Nogales. In my opinion it's a better place, cleaner more modern, they have live concerts in the area where all of our little putitas go to have a good time. There is a more US feel, Burger king, Mcdonalds, Autozone are all located near by, the only problem is that it's a good distance away from the border, you can not walk there, you will either need to drive or take a taxi, they do have many hotels in the area I should know wink, wink.

Also, whether they decide to demolish our favorite places or not the clubs will be closed down for 2 months the decision will be made Monday July 21. I will keep you posted on their decision. On a positive note Obsessions and VIP will be flooded with girls, I don't know about 69 they will be in the middle of a construction zone.
