I was there a couple of weeks ago,experienced one of the little mini-rooms in the bar area for the first time.I much preferred the old system of going to the girl's living quarters in the back.Often you would see family photos on the wall, much more personal encounter.The new rooms/closets are big enough only for a small,very uncomfortable bed and they are situated right in the bar area where everyone in the bar can listen in.

Okay guys...here's the shit on the supposed shakedowns and raids in the bars in Mexico. You're both haf right and both way off base.

Qualifying this, I live in Mexico and have for over 10 years. The last 5 in Juarez and Nuevo Laredo. I've also driven my POV all over Mexico without any hassles whatsoever. And my spanish sucks!

In Juarez, raids of the clubs occur several times a year depending on the mood of the politicos. I've been in Clubs in Juarez when these have happened and they're nothing. Nada! For a gingo. Generally, they pay no attention to the gringos instead focusing on the girls. They look for proper ID, evidence of drugs or useage. The same with the meseros and meseras. The only time I've seen a gringo hassled was when he challenged the policia about their authority to be in the bar. He was drunk and 3 years later is probably still a guest of the city of Juarz. In general though, gringos are not hassled or any attention paid to them unless reason presents itself. (ouline of knife or weapon in pocket, evidence of drugs etc.)

These raids, inspections, whatever you want to call them are generally carried out by the PFP or Federales. they also assit the local cops and the Policisa Estatal, the state cops. Military are rarely seen in the bars. In Juarez, they do patrol the streets in trucks in groups especially while the search is on for the serial killer of all those women in Juarez.

Over here in Nuevo Laredo where I live now, we have a large Police presence on the streets as we hve a small drug war going on right now. PFP in battle dress with H&K's on pretty much every corner in Centro. It is safe here. Our cathouses are housed in a compunbd known as Boystown which has a substation of the Policia Municipal complete with his and hers jail cells. Here you rarely see police raids of the clubs in BT. The place is pretty well self policing, a policy that works well for all. Occasionally, you'll see officials going around checking health certificates but as far as raids go, they're non existant unless there is a really good reason.

Tipping or not tipping the doorman, mesero, mesera etc. will not get you busted or set up. Period. Bad service yeah...that's about it though.

You know, the Mexico a lot of you see is limited to your forays to the zonas on the border. That's not the real Mexico or representative of the people of this great Republic. They're iving back to you some of the shit we've given them for over a 100 years. Nothing more.

One last thing about the cops here in Mexico. They're not all on the take. Less than 2% I would estimate. President Fox has made the elimination of merdido and other corruption his number one priority. But they're still out there.

Military.....virtually no corruption
Camiones Federal (Highway Patrol) Highest Paid in Mexico....Few Problems
PFP (Federal Judiciary Police) Few problems here either, unless you [CodeWord140] them off
Policia Estatal (State Police) More corruption at this level although decreasing
Policia Municipal (City Police) Keep your nose clean few problems
Transito or Vialidad (Traffic Cops) This is where most of your corruption is and most merdido paid.

The connection is that I am assuming that English is your second language and you are a citizen of Mexico. But, that aside, our main disagreement is the question of how safe Nogales and La Conga are. La Conga is out for me because of the reason I just stated. The clubs have very attractive women in them (although when I go down it is so early normally only Cherry's is swinging), but the accomadations (the little closets) leave much to be desired. As I have posted in the past, across from upstairs Cherry's is a hotel where I've found many of the dancers staying. I've gone there and had an hour with dancers in a comfortable room with a bed and no bouncer telling me my time was up after 15 minutes. It's not consistent that I find good looking women there, and I only normally get to check out one woman. It would be nice to have a selection as in the clubs. So in your opinion, where is the best place a guy can go, have a selection of attractive women, a nice room with a bed (or something better than 2 chairs) and spend an hour with her enjoying what she has to offer all for a relatively reasonable price and in a relatively safe environment?

I don't know, I've never tried it...I don't need viagra yet, and I don't take pills My friend (the one who was interested in the pills to begin with) might be interested in knowing about a more legitamite way to obtain his poison, though....

I am not a writer... I do enjoy writing, though. If I went down more often, you'd better believe I'd have a novel posted on this board in no time

Although I would love to hang out with the girls down there, I don't see myself going down again anytime soon... I need to find more people to accompany me... I'm not the type to go it alone (yet). The friends who are willing to go down were just visiting for the holidays....

He swears up and down that what he said was true.... as I said in my last post (if it ever goes through and appears in the forum) I suspect that either you've got the wrong girl or that she's not telling you the truth for one reason or another.
